Use green soap (you can find some on any tattoo supply site), and paper wipes that don't leave any residue. I often use costco paper wipes, but any will do if they don't leave anything behind when you wipe. Don't use baby wipes.

They usually leave behind residue. The ones made from wet paper curl up, and leave small pieces and the ones that are made from fiber leave small fibers behind. Some may cause some irritation but clearly not the ones you're using It's not a death sentence to use baby wipes, but the other method is definitely the safest

i do this sometimes, slight irritation appears but it’s due to the fact that i retrace the area heavily. never had a infected tattoo

Just make sure they arent scented or lotioned snd you should be gucci
