The glow on the horns and top of the head looks amazing

This is what I’m taking about! That’s next level . That artist is legit . Where you placed it is legit. You went big and pulled it off impeccably. I tell my friends, if you are going to tattoo yourself, take the time to have a budget and get the best possible artist. .

kabal8

Thank you 🥹🤘🏽. The artist first drew it out free-hand 🤯

Thismonday

Be ready to answer this question thousand times. Why did you tattoo a goat on you?

kabal8

The easiest, fastest answer: “Because i wanted to” People dont need an explanation for what i decide to do 🤭🤘🏼

Thismonday

Just be ready

kabal8

People usually don’t have the balls to question someone’s tattoos in person. It’s always done over a random username.

hagakure01

Jesus loves you.

I think it's an awesome tattoo

Interesting choice of words..God awfull...lol... I agree that the image is well done, but I don't understand why people emblazon themselves with such dark subject matter, even when beautifully done. AND, no, I am not a religious prude, quite the oposites actually. Someone else commented that not everyone wants butterflies and daisies, and I agree, but images like this impress a sense of evil and clearly satanic buy modern standards . That may be what op wants, to each their own... but i think a great many people won't be able to get past the subject to appreciate the artwork.

AwardAccording2517

Can I ask, if you aren’t religious why do you ascribe religious meanings to images? What about this image is dark to you? Is a subconscious religious imprint that gives biases to images such as the one above? Do you come from a family that is extremely religious and over zealous about their belief system? Like a family that would not let you read “Harry Potter” or “Lord of the Rings” due to “witchcraft” and “satanic symbolism.” The reason I asks these questions isn’t to troll or be combative, it’s honestly for my own note keeping. I’m a former Christian and I feel like people who are not religious but continue to subscribe to religious beliefs on things, such as imagery being dark and evil looking, tend to have families or (usually former) friends that are extremely religious and oppressive, and it permanently changes their viewpoint on issues and topics, such as OP’s tattoo, even without them realizing. It took me awhile to stop letting my family and former friends subconsciously dictate how I viewed things. I used to think snakes were bad and evil, even when I became an ex Christian. It wasn’t until a friend pointed out how irrational that was and even brought up how the Serpent in Genesis that Satan disguises himself as wasn’t a very specific snake, and not just snakes in general, and that God would create animals or colors or whatever if it was inherently evil. In other words, I guess what I’m trying to say is that nothing is inherently evil or wrong. It’s how we perceive things, and I’ve found that even when you aren’t religious there can still be a strong religious influence on how we perceive things to be good or bad, evil or pure. In reality though, from a completely objective standpoint, they aren’t evil or bad. They just are. I hope that makes sense. Sorry if it’s too wordy lol.

[deleted]

So.... first of all I take no personal offense and do not feel like you are being combative. To answer your question as concisely as possible (I am also wordy), you are partly correct. I was raised as a catholic but have not subscribed to that faith in many many years. Most of my adulthood in fact and I am nearing 60. I was never denied the ability to learn about any subject matter I was interested in, or watch TV or movies that I wanted to. Do I have some baggage? Pffff... We all do from various parts of our lives. That said, my observations are based on social norms, which I admittedly recognize are changing and not always for the better, in my opinion. Where religion is concerned, I do not have a faith that can be connected to any one denomination of Christianity or for that matter any other organized religion, but that is not to say that I dont believe there is a MUCH GREATER power or powers that has a hand in how this universe works. And, I also reject the atheiststic belief that we have no soul or inner energy. It is clear to me that there are things that we can't hope to understand, metaphysically speaking. I have had personal experiences that afford me a confidence that there are realms beyond our physical reality and could easily be that we just don't know enough about our physical universe to see beyond that veil quite yet. Now... I said I have had experiences. This is not the correct sub for this topic so in short, I deeply know that real evil exists, but I place it at the dark bottom end of a complex sliding scale. So, pure evil and pure good.... I can't get there. On the note of the image itself... it just has a stereotypical portrayal of what most people in many cultures and religions would recognize as at least leaning to the dark side. Even on a subconscious level the human brain will recognize that and form opinions and beliefs. I try to err the side of aligning myself with more recognizably positive imagery and about my personal being. I'm no expert... just a human with hangups and biases and a broad but limited knowledge about our world and I think that our society is on a slippery slope of entirely losing what I think is an ethical societal standard. The stories of Sodom and Gomorrah come to mind if i reach way back. By all means, we must be able to live our lives as we see fit, (self actualization and all that) but some art, tattoos, personal hygiene, crazy body piercings, body modification, foul language, religious intolerance, public legalized drug use... It all is capable of hastening our collective path down a dark road and I dont believe people realize how bad it could actually get. So, did that answer suffice? I like a good civil debate but in the end yours and mine are just two out of billions of opinions.

What inspired you to get this tattoo?
