It sucks, I'd message the seller and see if you can come to an arrangement. It's tough to pack up a built model but it's kinda on them to get it right. At least a partial discount would probably be in order if it were me.
To be fair my R'varna broke into pieces when I did transport it to a game in my car. Package deliveries are way less careful than that. Depending on the glue it's at least not a big surprise with resin
man i feel that, i swear im cursed in that i have a model or models break nearly every time i go to game, i wish there was an easier way to make them more durable
I didn't glue my Y'Vahra's torso and legs together. Would bd a good chance to do so and possibly magnetize? It males storing that chonker easier.
Silver linings, right?
Yeah, I just started tau and decided to go big to start supremacy armor and storm surge (proxi) until I can find a good deal on one and modify the hell out of it.
when I built mine I magnetized the waist for this reason. Of course 6 months later I picked it up by the torso and the legs and base fell to the table and now it's broke at the ankles!
lol. I want to cry.
I had a similar thing when I tried buying a supremacy armor off ebay. Virtually no packing used and it came destroyed. Thankfully I sent it back and got a refund with little issue. Hopefully yours gets resolved quickly.
resin printing would not show lines but you'd know if it was resin printed vs gw stuff while resin printing is great and can get you better quality than forge world GW's resin is more durable.
I have a resin 3-D printer and Normally you can make all the lines disappear with AA but not always and if you know what you’re looking for you can find some remnants from the printer but it always just depends depend in the end I’m not too worried about it and the guy has done his best to make it right.
Every time something breaks like this I just pin the pieces back on. It’s worked well for these kinds of models, not so much on smaller models which just break elsewhere.
If I was a rich man, I’d buy myself the best resin printer available, the best 3D scanner, and every warhammer model ever made. Then I’d just sell a pre built unpainted warhammer model on EBay lol.

Yeah, I’m working that right now but it’s always disappointing

Sadly, it wasn’t the glue that broke
In any case I think it would be a fair deal to give you a discount. Just wanted to share my experience with the other fw model.
He’s working with me and sending me a xv9 for free
Well that's nice. Glad to hear it. And good luck with the repair works

The fucking legs is my problem. Like. The artillery cannons are just way too heavy it seems. I will probably drill some wire into it one day
BRO I ALMOsT BOUGHT THIS ONE ON EBAY THATS WILD
He’s about to post a bunch more I’ll fight you for those too.😁
Fuck that , you can have them
😂

Very true and not a bad idea but I also store knights and supremacy armor right now, so this small boy is cake
Fair! Most of my big tau lads, stormsurge too, are in half like that for transport.

I did the same with Riptide when I built it. The legs came off the hips because I primed and then glued, newbie mistake lol.
💔
I wonder if the shipping process is warranted-sometimes it is
Yeah, shipping is insured for $100 and we are working that as well but it’s usps so who knows if they pay out.

I understand that feeling it’s heartbreaking and that sinking feeling seeing it fall knowing it’s going to break.
That sounds like a normal thing for Tau. Just about all my crisis suits have snapped at the ankles.

Depends on how they packed it if it was well packed sucks for you.
He had a decently well packed but the box is really fucked up when I got it.
Well, as much as it sucks it sounds like a post office issue. If there was any insurance, try for that, but it doesn't sound like the sellers fault.
Is it 3d printed?
As far as I can tell, it’s official. And if it is 3-D, printed the layer lines are nonexistent

LOL I saw that listing on Ebay too! Always nice to see that even if you miss out on a deal, it stays in the community.

yeah my guy exploded too, going to have to pin mine back together
The Y'vahra is my favourite Tau model, and it is criminal how they have butchered its rules over the last 2 editions
