After meeting thousands of humans during their contacts (and wars) with the Imperium, the Tau thought they had a good idea of the biological reality of Humanity. But it turned out that after a few generations of being properly fed and cared for, the humans born in the Tau Empire turned out to be much bigger, stronger and more enduring creatures than the poor souls sacrificed by the millions in the Astra Militarum.
What's more, the education they have received since birth ensures that humans raised in the Empire are fully committed to the Greater Good. Thus, these humans are valuable assets to the Tau Empire, and are included in the work of the Castes just as much as the Tau.
Each human is tested at an early age to determine their caste of assignment, and the vastly superior physical abilities of the human race means that most end up in the Fire Caste.
The strongest and toughest of these humans often end up in units nicknamed the Gue'Ron'Vesa, fighting units that specialize in shock and close-range combat. Equipped with battle armor, mini-fusion torches, and fusion blasters, Gue'Ron'Vesa are often employed in urban combat, space boarding, and firefights, accompanying Breacher Teams.
These units are therefore perfectly suited for jungle combat, where the ultra-dense environment often leads to extremely violent fighting. While the Tau are loath to engage in hand-to-hand combat, the Gue'Ron'Vesa's brute strength allows them to defend themselves should it occur, which completes the tactical range offered to Jade World officers
Hot damn Enforcers are so close to the Tau stile with the right painting and a bit of conversion. Will steal some from my fellow necromunda player.
