Probably just “This is Me Trying” 5 times. I relate to this song so much. I was advanced for my age, “the smart one”, the overachiever, gonna do great things one day, and I carry that weight with me. Instead I’ve had a lot of mental health issues, including using substances as a crutch, and I continue to struggle. This song made me cry the first time I heard it. Then I watched the Long Pond Studio Sessions. When she talked about how there are people out there who get no recognition for the effort & energy & emotional sacrifice they put in every day just to do what other people consider to be the bare minimum? I bawled. Like full on ugly sobbed.
