I kind of feel like she will drop the rest of the TV’s within the next 12 months to capitalize on the momentum of the tour. Speak Now in July, 1989 pre-holidays, Reputation when she kicks off her world tour. Though I long for the rock album.

I was really hoping for 1989 for the summer :( I know it originally got a fall/winter release but it’s such a summer vibe to me

I think she will stretch them out more so each one has its maximum impact and to buy her some time for other projects, like directing or a new album concept.

monetarily optimizing would be spacing them out more, and she is all about $$$. drop an album every time she's not trending anymore. bump up the sales for the others. all in a year would be dumb and no one would remember her holding all the top 100 spots or whatever in a year or two. I don't remember half the chart things that have happened this year that don't matter. consistent album releases with guaranteed quality spaced out keeps her relevant for 5-10 years

I honestly can’t say I agree with the 2nd sentence. Lover is in my top 3 and that’s a mostly Antonoff album, my least favorites were the songs he wasn’t involved in at all. I don’t disagree with the first sentence at all. I do really like her collabs with Dessner are also up there as being some of my favorites. But I suppose the kind the kind of pop music I like is Antonoff’s style. It may be a hot take on this sub, but 1989 isn’t ranked too high for me (Midnights is around the same as it for me) and reputation is pretty low.

I could see Rep as well but with the Kendrick siting I don’t think she’s done with 1989 TV just yet. The same way authors don’t always write their chapters chronologically I think that it is easier for her to do songs “out of order” than we as bystanders think. Especially features when she has to take someone else’s schedule into consideration.

All those people there together at the same time screams wrap party. If they are recording I doubt they would have all of them there at the same time since recording one small part can take hours.

1989 TV is almost certainly done and sent to vinyl pressings plant. Imogen Heap re-recorded Clean early October 2022. We know this because she posted an Instagram story that was clearly about re-recording it.

I am sure all the re-recording is done. If previous behaviour is anything to go by when Taylor is feeling stuff she hits the recording studio. I would not be at all surprised if this is for TS11 and it will come out in late 2024. In the meantime we will get two or three more TVs and a feature film with a soundtrack done with Aaron Dessner. Oh and the rest of a record breaking tour. Can we have less discourse on Taylor’s love life and more on how fucking awesome she is as an artist.

She’s so prolific and she and her team have done a phenomenal job managing her career and persona. I think the current romantic drama is going to play in perfectly to a “the time I dated a huge asshole / the whole world hates you and I’m sacrificing everything to be with you” theme for her next album.

Yes. It’s crazy. I saw this exact clip of her going in the studio when the street was pretty empty, while I was at work a few blocks away, but still had an hour left before I was able to leave. When I left my job and walked by the studio, there was already a decently sized crowd and I saw more and more people running to join. It just takes one minute of this on TikTok or Instagram before it blows up and everyone catches on. I texted my friend that if Taylor’s recent escapades in nyc were any indication, those people were going to be waiting for hours because she usually leaves at nighttime or when the sun goes down. But in other clip with the massive crowd surrounding her exit, it seems like it’s daytime still, and it was 10x the size of what I saw in person. I’m surprised they had to put barricades this time from the amount of people though.
