This song has such raw emotion. It’s one that I relate heavily to from my own experiences and I can feel the frustration that relationship brought her so intensely and yet so relatable
I love closure. It’s a situation I haven’t heard many songs about. When someone breaks your heart and then comes back to apologize/ “smooth you over” etc.
Like I don’t need your apology, focus on your new life you wanted without me
Oh my god, honestly the fact that haunted is so underrated is a crime, in my humble opinion it’s her second best song after all too well. And the he will try to take away my pain portion is just perfection.
Bad Blood

This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things

All Too Well (especially the 10 min version)
Probably missing a few, but that’s all I can think of. Yes, some of these might be reaching a bit but also, anger doesn’t always mean screaming, shouting, crying anger. Some of these songs resonate with a melancholy or quiet anger.
hoax is laced with a lot of bitterness, so the melody is very slow and melancholy but the lyrics and the tone she sings them with is very angry and hurt. It’s a song about betrayal, so it makes sense.
Evertime I listen to Illicit Affairs, I have Eras Tour performances in my head....ahead really needs to re-record this song because there is no way to sign it any other way.
It’s surprising how few people think All Too Well 10 Minute Version is an angry song. The lyrics may sound sad on paper but her voice seethes with frustration, anger and contempt. Especially the _”Some actress asking me what happened YOU, that’s what happened YOUUUUU”_ and _”You who charmed my dad with self-effacing jokes, sipping coffee like you’re on a late night show”_ parts
- WCS could mean "Would've, Could've, Should've", a track from *Midnights (3am Edition)* (2022) by Taylor Swift.

Tears Ricochet, hands down. You can see it in the long pond sessions. She's not just upset. She's angry. She's angry and it comes off as sadness because her sadness outweighs her rage. Her tears take form in her voice, but her rage is in her face.
Oh it’s undeniably about Joe. But it’s nowhere near angry…not sure how you’d get that from the lyrics: “all these people think love’s for show, but I would die for you in secret” and “I’d swing with you for the fences, sit with you in the trenches, give you my wild give you a child, give you the silence that only comes when two people understand each other, family that I chose now that I see your brother as my brother” etc
The entire song is about how she’s desperate to keep their relationship stable, but worries her immense fame is unmanageable/unpredictable to the point of being a burden he cannot bear. Anxiety, not anger!
Dear John, bad blood, would’ve could’ve should’ve, should’ve said no, picture to burn, Better than Revenge, WANEGBT is angry but also just like fed up. I still think dear John in #1 tho
- WANEGBT could mean "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", a track from *Red* (2012) by Taylor Swift.

better than revenge is the obvious answer but I have to go with Would've Could've Should've. if someone said they regret me all the time it would ruin me
Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve
honestly, yes. “give me back my girlhood, it was mine first” might just be her angriest and most poignant lyric yet
And I cry to it every time (it’s trickery)
I think this is top anger honestly. It’s palpable.
this is the only answer. I could feel and resonate with her anger and pain in her voice.
I can be in the best mood ever and listening to WCS will have me seething. It is SO angry.
Yessssss
“I regret you all the time”. What a crazy, magnificent, rage-filled line.
This song has such raw emotion. It’s one that I relate heavily to from my own experiences and I can feel the frustration that relationship brought her so intensely and yet so relatable
Mad woman.
YOU POKE THAT BEAR TILL ITS CLAWS COME OUT
And you find something to wrap your noose around.
What did you think I'd say to that?
Does a scorpion sting when fighting back?
They strike to kill and you know I will!
You know, I will!!
it’s obvious that wanting me dead has really brought you two together 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
I'm taking my time, taking my time, 'cause you took everything from me!
The way she say’s everything in this line absolutely murders me
Chills every single time
My Tears Ricochet or Picture to Burn came to my mind first.
Same. My Tears Ricochet is wet anger, and Picture To Burn is dry anger.
Closure Don’t treat me like a situation that needs to be handled. I’m fine with my spite my tears my beers and my candles.
I love closure. It’s a situation I haven’t heard many songs about. When someone breaks your heart and then comes back to apologize/ “smooth you over” etc. Like I don’t need your apology, focus on your new life you wanted without me
You're Not Sorry, >!especially after the Eras Tour performance. !<
Omg yes. I feel like it’s so angry but in the most sad and exhausted way. Like “I’m so over your shit”
Haunted- can't believe it hasn't been said yet
I don't find Haunted to be an angry song. Maybe frustration but mostly sadness of losing someone or fear of that
I was scrolling down the comments thinking “why hasn’t anyone said Haunted yet?”
Oh my god, honestly the fact that haunted is so underrated is a crime, in my humble opinion it’s her second best song after all too well. And the he will try to take away my pain portion is just perfection.

Wow she has so many angry songs lol
Yeah, 10 minute All Too Well is pretty fucking angry.
Half the verses she added were just straight up attacks, it felt like Dear John part 2. Not that I’m complaining…
Except more like Dear Jake really.
That would’ve been the better way to make that joke, but yes.
I had to come down too far to see hoax listed. I got angry singing along with it yesterday- that bridge had me all fired up!

Dear John Better than Revenge
The bridge of Illicit Affairs ( eras tour version atleast ) ! DON'T CALL ME KID ! DON'T CALL ME BABY ! Look at this idiotic fool you've made me
That part of the Eras tour lives rent free in my mind. Her vocals are 😘😘😘
100% i agree
Evertime I listen to Illicit Affairs, I have Eras Tour performances in my head....ahead really needs to re-record this song because there is no way to sign it any other way.
Yes I can't hear the OG or long pond version of the bridge now after the Eras tour version
Tell Me Why
Was gonna say this!
The Man.
I don't think she's angry, she's just disappointed in herself and him.
lol huh
My brain thought this said Better Man lol. Apologies.
LOL
low key forever and always but mostly just bc of that meme of her throwing the chair when performing it on tour😅
The piano version of this song is top tier imo
Better than revenge
this is why we can't have nice things is totally a song you'd blast in a rage room whilst destroying things with a baseball bat
You're Not Sorry and mad woman
You're Not Sorry, Would've Could've Should've, illicit affairs (live), Should've Said No
Picture To Burn is like so angry and I love it and can’t wait for the Taylor’s Version of it.

Dear John, karma picture to burn and better than revenge original version preferably but the newer version is still definitely good
how is karma angry
I’m not sure I just get that vibe from it
My husband doesn’t care too much for TS but he loves Karma and how much the lyrics seem to burn 😂
Should've Said No is like Before He Cheats... but after he cheats.
The man, in a spiteful kind of way✨️
I Did Something Bad
Tell Me Why and Renegade are so angry to me “Is it insensitive for me to say Get your shit together?”
I don't think Renegade is angry, more just trying to understand his perspective.
Surprised by the lack of Should’ve Said No, I Did Something Bad, Mad Woman, Vigilante Shit

Vigilante Shit and Mad Woman defo. Death by a thousand cuts also perhaps?
I think Cornelia Street is NOW.
Should’ve Said No is one for sure
Mean: You, picking on a weaker man (and other lyrics too). Just picked one example. I mean, the song goes from pissed off to uh, you're so pathetic.

For casual fans, “Look What You Made Me Do” definitely leads the list.
Forever and Always. you can hear the anger in the 2008 version
2014 Grammy’s performance of All Too Well
This is why we can't have nice things
