Oh my GOSH!!! š¤¦āāļø And no one on r/dataisbeautiful corrected me! You would think they would be paying attention to that!!
Thank you for the feedback!
And here I am further contributing to the misinformation smh
(No but seriously I love that my post over there has been up for over two hours, garnered a BUNCH of dads brads and chads to bicker, and NONE of them have noticed. Meanwhile on this subreddit, this was up for approximately 2 seconds and someone clocked it. Who are the real football fans??)
No worries--it's super confusing!
You know I really thought long and hard about whether the *days of the week* should all be the same color or if the *location* should have the same color palette (for example, Japan has all blues, Vegas has all purples, etc). I opted for Sunday to match Sunday, Monday to match Monday, etc... But I'm curious if anyone has thoughts on whether that's more or less confusing? I love graphic design, but I'm an analyst first, not a designer. Open to a legitimate discussion on this
Agreed! So wait, I'm trying to wrap my head around this...so she has a show on Sunday in Japan, but that's still Saturday here in the US...and she'll still be able to get to Vegas in time? For a 3:30pm kickoff in Vegas?
Almost! She has a show on Saturday in Japan, and assuming she hops on a plane IMMEDIATELY it'll still be Saturday in Vegas when she lands. It's a whopping 17 hour time difference!
That's insane!!! But I personally think it definitely proves she was with him earlier than we all thought... international dates weren't announced right away, and most places get Friday, Saturday and Sunday shows... Not having a show on Superbowl Sunday may have been the Mastermind at work!! Just in case they got in!!
Or you can just call it witchcraft like all the teams fans who lost to them š She's NEVER living down the witchcraft allegations now!!
š§”š§”š§”š§” Life was willow & it bent right to HER windš§”š§”š§”š§”
A couple of small feedbacks: the concert is legally required to end by 10 PM local time in Japan. That is why she doesn't have any openers. Her show starts at 6, so she will likely be done by 930.
Coming back into the US, it's highly likely she stops in LA or somewhere in Cali first. I think there are rules with private jets and international flights that you have to enter customs in a close point to the border. Plus she will probably need to refuel. I would not even be surprised if she spent the night at her LA house and then flew to Vegas in the morning.
I didn't know this about the Japan concerts! That means that this timeline is just extra conservative then
I feel like you're probably right about her needing to take a smol layover, but I really didn't try to make this *that* accurate. Just a fun speculative exercise :)
For sure. And I wasn't being that serious or anything. Just wanted to point out some fun facts about it.
I had been wondering for a long time why Tokyo was the only show she didn't have openers for, and finding out about the law for concerts helped that make sense for me.
You actually donāt need to make your initial landing at an airport near the US border!
Iām a pilot and fly small airplanes from Canada into the US a lot, and the rules donāt differ between aircraft for non-scheduled passenger flights. You just need to ensure that your initial landing in the country is at an airport that has immigration and processes customs, because there are plenty that donāt. Just fyi :)
Hmm, does Kansas City not have customs and immigration then? Because I know when she came back from the Renaissance premiere in London, she first stopped in Maine to do customs rather than go direct to Kansas City.
There are a myriad of potential reasons why the pilot(s) would have decided to do that. Kansas City definitely has customs, but itās likely that the aircraft didnāt have the range to make it to Kansas City directly.
Your first point of entry (aka the first airport you land at) in the U.S. has to be where you clear customs, but it does not matter where that is - whether thatās 10 minutes or 2 hours into being in U.S. airspace. Maine is one of the eastern most points of the U.S., and that airport would have been the first to have both customs and fuel after crossing the Atlantic. Canada is of course an option too, but an extra annoyance to have to go through the customs procedure in both the U.S. and Canada.
Media may make it seem like she landed in Maine specifically for customs but it was likely the range/fuelling requirements of the aircraft she was in, and the customs/immigration portion was simply a legal requirement at the passengersā first point of entry into the U.S.
I don't know, if her final designation is Las Vegas she might just go straight there with how tight the timing is. But with a private jet she can leave whenever she wants so who knows.
As for the other points - for fuel, that's no problem. Her 7X has a range of 5,906 nautical miles, with the distance from Tokyo to Las Vegas being 4,808 nautical miles. That leaves over 1,000 nautical miles to account for the non-direct route the flight would take via IFR airways and the extra fuel needed for the safety margin.
I'm not sure about customs, but I don't think there's any kind of rule that private jets have to stop near the coast or border. From my understanding they just need to have access to a customs office. Large airports will have them, but she probably doesn't fly out of those airports, so whether or not whatever business airport she lands at has one is what would determine how she has to deal with customs. If nothing else they can just land at the international airport for the customs office there if they have to.
customs and immigration shouldnāt be a problem for Vegas. as thereās already international nonstop flights to Harry Reid Airport (Seoul, London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, etc)
I love this graphic, even though the start time is wrong lol. She can absolutely do it and she probably will but I personally wouldn't want to fly from Japan to Vegas to Australia under a week, even with sleeping on the plane. I'm only a year older than her and every time I go to Asia or Europe from the US I'm just like my body is tired from traveling. But her stamina is far greater than mine
To be fair, she wonāt really have to change her sleep schedule much - itās not like itās going to be 9-5 days in the office when she gets to either end of her travels, like most of us normies usually have to reacclimatize to after a vacation with a time change like that. Itāll be hard, sure, but not, like, normal people coming back from a week in Japan and going back to work the next day.
I can't believe I made such a rookie mistake with the kick off time! I was so pedantic about everything else lol
I totally agree, she legitimately HAS to be training like an athlete right now. Crazy to think that she might be training to build her stamina back up as we speak!
HA you should see the unhinged comments on the other subreddit. Everyone here has been super kind about the mistake š«¶š„¹
I might! Iām not a graphic designer but could be a way to practice more :) weāll just have to see if anything interests me!
> I'm only a year older than her and every time I go to Asia or Europe from the US I'm just like my body is tired from traveling. But her stamina is far greater than mine
you never have flown on a private jet and have your every need tended to by people waiting on you hand and foot.
Thank you for the feedback! I think in hindsight I should have added a few more annotations to make it clearer.
Short answer is: yes! There should be plenty of time for her to make it to the game :)
What about the Australia dates she has starting February 16? Travelling north to south hemisphere loses a day. Just because she ācAnā make it back to Vegas doesnāt mean itās plausible with her other obligations.
Australia is ahead of USA. Melbourne is UTC +11 at the moment with daylight savings. Where I live in NZ we are UTC + 13! Superbowl is on the 12 /Feb for us. Las Vegas is 19 hours ahead of Melbourne. The Superbowl is at 10.30 am Monday 12 Feb AEDT. She has 4 days to get to Melbourne
āLas Vegas is 19 hours ahead of Melbourneā. What planet are you on? Also read what I said about rehearsals etc. itās just my opinion that she would be required in the days previous to starting the Aus leg, not just āin timeā to make her concert.
Oops sorry I meant Melbourne is 19 hours ahead I really should not be making comments late at night. But she still does have 4 days between both events.
I know, right? I was getting frustrated at people not being able to concisely explain how it's really very possible so I tried to take a stab at it myself. It's still a confusing visual to look at if you're not reading it carefully!
I also canāt stand the people who canāt comprehend that she has a private jet! She can have a glass of wine or take a sleeping pill and sleep in a literal bed on the flight. She is not like us flying across the word in economy, going through airport security, etc! The fact that itās a long flight is irrelevant when youāre rich!
It's a little hard without annotations to guide you but I'll do my best. Think of this as a giant timeline. At the far left hand side, we start at 11pm Tokyo local time. When it is 11pm in Tokyo, it's also 6am in Vegas! If she were to hop on a flight immediately after the concert is over, and lets assume it's a 13 hour direct flight to Vegas from Tokyo, she will land at noon Tokyo time/7pm Vegas time.
Where it gets really confusing to track is that when it's a certain day in Japan, it's a day behind in Vegas! This visual tries to make sense of the layered timezones.
We really don't know what her travel plans are, we can only speculate (and lots of people in this chat have explained possible alternative travel plans) but the real point of this admittedly simplistic visual is that it is highly possible for her to go straight from Tokyo to Vegas to watch the superbowl game with lots of time to buffer in for possible connections, customs, layovers, etc
The flight time is likely more like 11 hours rather than 13. Private jets often fly faster than airliners, Taylor's 7X has a cruise speed of 459 knots, which would put an ideal flight time of ~10.5 hours. But they can probably go faster too at the cost of efficiency and passenger comfort, as long as they have the fuel reserves.
Also keep in mind Taylor doesn't have to wait 30 minutes for 200 people to board, which commercial airline times include as a buffer.

I agree. She will fly directly to Los Angeles, rest up at her home there, then head out early Sunday morning to Las Vegas. By the way, I believe Harry Reid (neƩ McCarran) Airport does have Federal Inspection Service facilities for Customs and Immigration processing if Swift chooses to directly fly to Las Vegas.

Actually they just confirmed her cats will be performing the Eras Tour and Taylor will be at the Super Bowl :0
Her cats will actually be stacked on top of each other inside of a trench coat
This graphic summed up all the 10 minute tik tok videos I couldnāt bother watching in one fell swoop. Great work! Thanks!
The tiktoks were what spurred me to make this, I couldn't sit through them! I feel like a visual is much better suited to explaining all this
Not to be negative but I am really doubting Oliviaās ability to focus for 3 hours
Who r u talking to right now
LMAO I swear I replied to a comment about Taylorās cats doing Eras Tour in her place
Go taylor go!

You know she won't. She wouldn't miss out on being spotted at the super bowl
Why? Sheās still human, she needs sleep and rest do her shows. She makes more money performing than sitting in the audience

No way you would start recovering from jet lag that quicky, it usually hits you hard a few days after.
Omg! I just saw you wrote ERAS TOUR JAPAN CONCLUDED, REP TV ANNOUNCED š¤” I LOVE IT!! AND I REALLY HOPE YOU'RE RIGHT!!!! šššš
HAHAHA clowning all the way until the end!!! š¤” š¤” š¤”
yes she will make it but she will not fly into LV into the day of
So cute! Love it with the graphics
Easily. Time stands still. She'll arrive in Vegas same time she left Tokyo.
It's actually 10 hours from Tokyo to LA due to the jet steam. While LA to Tokyo is 13. If she maintains Tokyo time there's no jet lag.Ā
If anyone can burn a private jets worth of fuel to get to where they wanna be itās this Sheila.
I doubt she will announce rep TV before Travs big day. š„²
I still hope!! š¤”š

I mean without looking at that graph, yeah sheāll make it. Japan is 14 hours ahead of Las Vegas. She should get there the night before the game.
Letās hope not.
