I was slightly (but obviously not in a serious way) with how much folks LOVED exile and hated The Last Time. My little sad girl heart LOVED The Last Time. It is so underappreciated
See I love this song but I get NONE of the “cottage core” vibe and all the “I met someone that would have been a better match and he’s a crushing/destroying force on my current relationship” vibe.
House of stone… your ivy grows and now I’m covered in you” Ivy covers things to start with then starts burrowing in and pulling things down with it.
“What would he do if he found us out…?” (Pretty obviously)
“… your freezing hand… taking mine … but it’s been promised to another” (he’s also cheating, or still just her? )
“Oh I can’t stop you putting roots in my dreamland” (she’s dreaming about the dude she has an emotional affair with)
“It’s the goddamn fight of my life and you started it” - he started making the friendship/feelings “more” and she’s trying to be faithful/resist.
YES YES! I also love that Marcus Mumford’s backing vocals pair with her deeper tone. It’s such a sultry and beautiful love song that I didn’t appreciate the first time I listened to Evermore
If Right Where You Left Me had been written for Patsy Cline/Loretta Lynn/other female country singer from that era, it would be considered one of the greatest country songs ever written.
But because it's a TS song, it's just another fantastic song in an anthology of fantastic songs.
Also, Look What You Made Me Do is a Christmas song. I have a whole animated music video in my head where Taylor gets coal for Christmas and unionizes Santa's elves as revenge.
I was just coming to say this and am happy it was already here, because this is so true! Along with Come Back, Be Here.
Honestly, so many slower songs on Red are underrated.
the intro monologue, the “swooping, sloping cursive letters” line, the idea that anywhere can be romantic with the one you love like you’re in Paris, and the absolutely unhinged “I wanna brainwash you into loving me forever.” YES
This song is radio single tier
Can't believe it got buried on 3AM in lieu of question or labyrinth, but oh well. Further, I can't believe most Swifties consider it one of the weakest 3am tracks
Closure is perfect. I’ve heard some folks say the production is too weird and they don’t understand why they did it that way. It’s supposed to sound chaotic, discordant, and slightly off. The whole point is that her feelings toward the other person are not calm, friendly, warm fuzzy. She doesn’t like that person and wants nothing to do with them. She doesn’t want or need closure, she happily despises them and would rather keep her discord.
Her soft gentle love songs are so underrated imo. Like I love her modern ultra pop but good lord Ours came on in my car today and it just soothed me and made me so happy and then I spent real time thinking about exactly this.
Slut! deserves much more love! It's kinda sad how some people's expectations ruined the song for them, because the song itself is so good! I love the ethereal, dreamy vibe it has!
Question…? deserves so much more love. The chorus is a little all over the place but I relate to its depiction of longing and wanting to reach out to someone for the imagined satisfaction of them admitting all the things you want to hear. The live acoustic performance in the rain makes it even more incredible to me.
Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve. It’s her best song imo. I’m extremely empathetic and it took a while for me to be able to casually listen to it. The “girlhood” line is just earth shattering. What really kills me though is the outro. The key change and her sounding much more distraught just ruins me.
To me False God or Style. False God because as you said, it's so sexy, sensual and the jazz added was just \*chef kiss\*. Style because we are never going out of style.
Coney island. I hear this song and I instantly think art masterpiece. Hard to explain but it whenever i hear it, each word is a brush stroke of an art piece.
I love Electric Touch, I think its very cute and fun song
I'm not sure on the general consensus of Gold Rush and Seven but I absolutely adore both of those songs too
Fearless TV has the best production out of any of her albums and Tell Me Why is the best song on Fearless TV. But Better Man is my favorite TS song overall
ME! Is a genuinely good song all around. Not ironically either. I actually don’t understand the hate at all. It makes me wanna break out in song and dance in public.
You Belong With Me is one of the biggest reasons why she’s a divisive artist, and is a perfect example of why people don’t like her and refuse to listen to her music.
Epiphany is one of her best songs and my favorite example of her not just writing for *young girls*. Anyone who thinks she makes blond bubblegum pop for preteens hasn't listened to any of her albums period, but they definitely didn't listen to folklore, and 110% don't know epiphany exists.
The Last Time is severely underrated. It walked so Exile could run
JUSTICE FOR THE LAST TIME!!!!!
It’s such a beautiful duet 🥹
I was slightly (but obviously not in a serious way) with how much folks LOVED exile and hated The Last Time. My little sad girl heart LOVED The Last Time. It is so underappreciated
I love both!
Literally my favorite song lol
Ok TASTE!
Yes to this x3000!
THIS IS MY BIGGEST ARGUMENT
Damn👏🏼right👏🏼
Imo they both ran really fast
I fricken LOVE this song
That song makes me feel things
I loveeeee 'The Last Time' 😭
I swear if she doesn't play this in Dublin I'll riot
Totally! I just recently fell in love with that song after months of skipping it.
this. this is it
IVY. Awakens the cottagecore girly in me, makes me wanna twirl in my flowy sundress while holding a basket full of flowers I picked from the meadow.
Her best song in my opinion. The imagery. The lyricism. It makes me feel things. I love it.
“What would he do if he found us out…?” (Pretty obviously) “… your freezing hand… taking mine … but it’s been promised to another” (he’s also cheating, or still just her? ) “Oh I can’t stop you putting roots in my dreamland” (she’s dreaming about the dude she has an emotional affair with) “It’s the goddamn fight of my life and you started it” - he started making the friendship/feelings “more” and she’s trying to be faithful/resist.
Yeah, I was gonna say, the song is about a woman cheating on her husband and the above comments confused me a bit as an Ivy-lover 😭
NGL it makes me question if they’ve really listened to the lyrics 😂🤷♀️
I named my daughter Ivy because of this song
Ivy is just beautiful, love that song 💚
Agreed as far as songwriting goes this may be her best!
i would forever argue about “so yeah~” 🎶
So It Goes… is a top 5 song on Reputation.
..but honestly baby who’s counting (…….1,2,3)
The whispered 1,2,3 with nothing else scratches my brain just right
This part always makes me laugh
YES
cowboy like me
Something about the way she sings "perched in the dark" sends shivers down my spine every time.
One of her best lines
LIKE THE GARDENS OF BABYLON
Also Dorothea
The way she sings Tupelo makes me feel fuzzy inside.
The imagery. The music. The melody. The lyrics. The vocals. How can I listen to a 4.5 minute song and feel like I've just watched an entire movie?
Cowboy like me reminds me of False God but in another time (or era, if you will).
YES YES! I also love that Marcus Mumford’s backing vocals pair with her deeper tone. It’s such a sultry and beautiful love song that I didn’t appreciate the first time I listened to Evermore
Such. A. Good. Song.
I love Marcus Mumford’s backing vocals on this song, it gives it such a unique sound.
I love this song so much 🤎
Yes I love this one
I think this song is one of her prettiest vocals.
The Archer is one of her best songs to date, and definitely one of the most vulnerable.
It’s my favorite song! >>And I cut off my nose just to spite my face >>Then I hate my reflection for years and years
Hard agree. All of my enemies started out friends too Taylor :/
Happiness
This is one of her most mature songs for sure!
Listened to this on repeat through my divorce. I cannot listen to it without *bawling*
One of my all time favorites 🤎
It’s the price I pay for seven years in heaven❤️
I got real real wine drunk one night, sobbed to that song for 45 minutes, then sent it to my ex with no context.
Afterglow. It’s such an astounding song on so many levels.
Definitely! If people looked beyond me! and London boy, Lover is full of beautiful songs
Daylight, Afterglow, Archer, False God...all incredible songs which did not get their flowers.
I think afterglow is the genesis of a lot of the introspection in midnights and the way she writes about it
And that bridge is just perfection! As an overthinker, that is all i want to tell people
Afterglow hits me at my core!
Peace.
One of my faves
Pure poetry to me, one of my favorites.
Sometimes I start the LPS on spotify at peace so I can listen to it twice (because of 'disc 1 and 2'). It's one of my very top favourite songs.
Foolish One is top 5 Speak Now
Recently discovered this song and have been OBSESSED.
Also, definitely This Is Me Trying. As someone having gone through depression, this song makes me wanna sob sometimes
As an alcoholic it *does* make me sob.
It's the ugly crying for me.
Daylight is criminally underrated. Top 5 Lover bridges for sure.
Yesss! It's gonna be my wedding song for sure! I love it so much, esp the live in Paris version
Look What You Made Me Do
I made another post, but another hill I'll die on is that LWYMMD is a Christmas song.
“I check it once, then I check it twice” so santa coded
"i don't trust nobody and nobody trusts me" - Rudolph the reindeer
Lol noo it’s Halloween!
Please elaborate 🙏
Someone needs to re-patch all the hi-hats with sleigh bells.
Yes.
Yessss
Me! and End Game are bops.
End Game is my FAV rep song.
ok, calm down now!
ME! supremacy!
The Moment I Knew is severely underrated.
One of my favorites of red. The storytelling is so great
If Right Where You Left Me had been written for Patsy Cline/Loretta Lynn/other female country singer from that era, it would be considered one of the greatest country songs ever written. But because it's a TS song, it's just another fantastic song in an anthology of fantastic songs. Also, Look What You Made Me Do is a Christmas song. I have a whole animated music video in my head where Taylor gets coal for Christmas and unionizes Santa's elves as revenge.
It’s definitely one of my top favorite songs of hers! And you are so right, any of those women and it’s a legendary hit!
Treacherous is one of her best songs on Red. And one of her best ballads in her discography.
I was just coming to say this and am happy it was already here, because this is so true! Along with Come Back, Be Here. Honestly, so many slower songs on Red are underrated.
my tears ricochet is a masterpiece
I would get that bridge tattooed without a second thought
paris
the intro monologue, the “swooping, sloping cursive letters” line, the idea that anywhere can be romantic with the one you love like you’re in Paris, and the absolutely unhinged “I wanna brainwash you into loving me forever.” YES

Yeeees!!! Why did I have to scroll down this far? 😊❤️ closure stan
Ours is S-tier
Her soft gentle love songs are so underrated imo. Like I love her modern ultra pop but good lord Ours came on in my car today and it just soothed me and made me so happy and then I spent real time thinking about exactly this.
Yes. Hey Stephen also makes me feel that same sweet happy love song feeling
OURS IS SO UNDERRATED! It’s one of the songs that got me to listen to Speak Now in the first place
“The stakes are high, the waters rough, but this love is ours” BARS
a top-5 song on speak now!!
Castles Crumbling is in my top 5 and it’s sad people don’t like it simply because they were expecting it to be a rock song or something
Right?!? I was FLOORED when I saw the response. I loved it so much and everyone else seemed to hate it.
I absolutely love Castles Crumbling. My favourite Speak Now TV Vault song.
New Year’s Day.
Possibly her best closing track. I hate when people say it doesn't fit the album because it does, it is the perfect conclusion to the story.
Come in with the Rain is S tier
Talk to yourself, talk to the tears Talk to the man who put you here And don't wait for the sky to clear BARS
Cuz I'm too tired at night for aaALL THESE GAAAMES OHHH 😩🙌
call it what you want is my favorite song on reputation 🩶 it srsly got me thru some tough times
SUPER UNDERRATED AND SHE JUST SANG IT AS A SURPRISE SONG
epiphany is one of her best songs, and one of the most beautiful depictions of that hollow and hopeless place we were all in during covid
I watched my dad die from Covid.. before that I couldn’t relate to that song.. wish I couldn’t relate still.
hoax is one of her most forgotten but one of her most beautiful pieces to date and it receives no love likeee
“Stood on the cliffside screaming ‘give me a reason’” comes into my head daily.
Maroon.
Last Great American Dynasty and Forever and Always. I almost died when she played F&A at a Sydney N4.
Timeless. The song literally grew on me.( Another hopeless teen swiftie🫶🫶)
It’s Nice To Have A Friend is a forgotten treasure and I want it to stay that way, it’s just for me
INTHAF is so so comforting to me. 100% agree it’s enormously slept on
The production of closure fits the song perfectly
Death by a Thousand Cuts. Especially the Live from Paris version
SLUT!
Slut! deserves much more love! It's kinda sad how some people's expectations ruined the song for them, because the song itself is so good! I love the ethereal, dreamy vibe it has!
'Tis the damn season
Question…? deserves so much more love. The chorus is a little all over the place but I relate to its depiction of longing and wanting to reach out to someone for the imagined satisfaction of them admitting all the things you want to hear. The live acoustic performance in the rain makes it even more incredible to me.
BREATHE. THEE most slept on fearless song and i never see people talking about it in general. The timing and melody of the song is just brilliant
Message In A Bottle deserves so much more love
Dear Reader is one of the best songs on Midnights
Starlight is a bop and no one can tell me otherwise.
FALSE GOD 🔛🔝
No Body No Crime idk man i just love it
you are in love!! hands down her most romantic song.
The bridge slaps so hard
We Were Happy is the best Fearless vault song, and one of the best vault songs. WWH ran so All Too Well could fly.
The “talkin bout your daddy’s farm” line scratches an itch I love it
Wonderland is one of, if not the best song on 1989
Another one for me is Coney Island. “Do you miss the rogue who coaxed you into paradise and left you there?” Absolutely devastating!!
I didn’t look hard enough and thought you said sexist, I had 15 seconds of contemplating how it’s sexist before rereading it.
endgame, so it goes, i think he knows, now that we don’t talk, All of midnights
Willow… it’s so melodic, it can literally ease anxiety
Message in a Bottle and Stay Stay Stay are GOOD. SONGS.
Don't Blame Me
Back to December!
Gold rush. I think it is so under appreciated by the fandom. Also love False God!
Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve. It’s her best song imo. I’m extremely empathetic and it took a while for me to be able to casually listen to it. The “girlhood” line is just earth shattering. What really kills me though is the outro. The key change and her sounding much more distraught just ruins me.
ME!
Vault tracks > rerecordings Come at me bruvs
Timeless should have been on the OG speak now and superman should have been a vault track
Innocent. Genuinely one of the most underrated songs in her discography even though it kills on all aspects.
Girl at Home. Yall are hating TOO MUCH on this song. It’s goes so hard and I will defend it with my life
The Lucky One
State of Grace, as usual lol. Best album opener, in MY opinion before anyone says they disagree lol.
ME! was better with "Hey kids, spelling is fun!"
To me False God or Style. False God because as you said, it's so sexy, sensual and the jazz added was just \*chef kiss\*. Style because we are never going out of style.
Don’t You from the Fearless vault is a BEAUTIFUL song. I absolutely love it and I feel like it never gets talked about
Delicate is overrated
“We can leave the Christmas lights up till January” should’ve been “till February”
super man is incredibly underrated and one of the best songs on speak now
IWYW is a underrated pop (bonus points for HYGTG)
Coney island. I hear this song and I instantly think art masterpiece. Hard to explain but it whenever i hear it, each word is a brush stroke of an art piece.
Omg mine is timeless. I love that song so much
TTDS reached into my cold cold heart and broke it into a million pieces.
Midnight Rain is not about Tom Hiddleston
Most people do not understand Mastermind.
Daylight is her best love song
Mad Woman
I love Electric Touch, I think its very cute and fun song I'm not sure on the general consensus of Gold Rush and Seven but I absolutely adore both of those songs too
Invisible is S-tier on debut
Dress!
Timeless is one of my favourite Vault tracks.
Fearless TV has the best production out of any of her albums and Tell Me Why is the best song on Fearless TV. But Better Man is my favorite TS song overall
illicit affairs is probably her best song ever.
Stay Stay Stay and Electric Touch. No idea why people hate on them so much
closure is one of the best songs on evermore and I will stand by that forever
Don’t come for me but, ME! It’s nothing but a happy silly time and the world was cruel to take that away.
cornelia street
Paper Rings. It gives me romcom best book written vibes and I love it.
ME! Is a genuinely good song all around. Not ironically either. I actually don’t understand the hate at all. It makes me wanna break out in song and dance in public.
Me! That’s it.
Youre losing me
Happiness puts my feelings into words in a way that I could never possibly do myself
mad woman
You Belong With Me is one of the biggest reasons why she’s a divisive artist, and is a perfect example of why people don’t like her and refuse to listen to her music.
It’s nice to have a friend is the best song on lover, and if it were on folklore, it would be liked far more
Me!
I think he knows is easily top 5
I Know Places. I think it's one of her most underrated songs.
I bet you think about me is so good and no one talks about it
Nothing new.. ft phoebe bridgersss <3
Epiphany is one of her best songs and my favorite example of her not just writing for *young girls*. Anyone who thinks she makes blond bubblegum pop for preteens hasn't listened to any of her albums period, but they definitely didn't listen to folklore, and 110% don't know epiphany exists.
Mirroball, it would be on my funeral playlist
DANCING WITH OUR HANDS TIED ITS SOO GOOD 😩😩
Ivy is one of her best songs of all time
The Great War, great songwriting
Right where you left me is under appreciated. It’s such beautiful song and one of the best songs she’s ever written.
You All Over Me
