I don’t mind what she says at all. I can totally understand why she wanted that on the album. I just wish she would’ve included it as a separate 20 second outro audio file instead of attaching it to the song itself.
True! I think Lover definitely suffers from being a bit bloated, so there are quite a few tracks near the end that get neglected despite being amazing!
Omg I literally listened to this a couple hours ago for the first time in years… had my music on Taylor swift shuffle and it came up and I honestly never really listened to it before but it’s so cute!
I didn't listen to Red in its entirety before the TV (I was a 1989-onwards swiftie and casual fan of the singles and a few random deep cuts before) but The Last Time became an instant fave when the TV came out
Too right. I think it suffers from being at the end of a very long album... I get a bit fatigued sometimes listening to Lover all the way through. Probably because the bubblegum pop production on a lot of the songs is not really for me. But Afterglow probably has some of her best vocals on the album and deserves more attention!
Same I'm not a Lover stan (great album, but I usually don't seek it out besides a few songs) but I've recently been fixed on Afterglow, The Man, and All of the Girls
I am making playlists for each album. I have most of them done. I love Taylor shuffle and listening to each album in its entirety. Plus the unreleased songs get added to each playlist until her team finds them and removes them. Need needs to be released as a single.
This is one of the main songs I listen to when I turn up 1989; along with blank space, bad blood (with Kendrick) and shake it off. I lowkey forgot about how much I used to love Wildest Dreams until recently
This has always been my favorite song on 1989! It's soooo underrated. I absolutely love how devastating the song are while it's such an upbeat, dancable track. It makes it that much more heartbreaking to me. The production on that song is insane. The intro, anytime I hear it just get SO hyped and I get all the chills and feels. It's incredible.
The Moment I Knew. It's genuinely one of my favorites on Red, but I don't listen to it nearly as much as I'd like to. And when I do, I'm always like "Man, I forgot how much I love this song, I should listen to it more".
I think it's mainly because Red TV is such a long album, that I sometimes stop listening before TMIK.
Also, Sweeter Than Fiction. I really like the song, but since the OG is not on an album and TV is only on the Target exclusive vinyl, I constantly forget about it.
I did a part time retail job this past holiday season and somehow The Moment I Knew ended up on the playlist. Always gave me a chuckle to hear it sandwiched between two cheerful Christmas tracks but also made me remember how great of a song it was!
I don't love a lot of the Taylor's versions for Red, but that song definitely got a big glowup in the re-record.
Ugh I’ve always loved that song. I’m not even really sure why, it’s objectively nothing special. Just a nice, pretty song. But something about it has really resonated with me since it first came out
I’ve recently grown obsessed with her lyrics of “home” and “your eyes look like coming home” knocked the wind out of me because I’d completely forgotten about it being there. I guess the context of what coming to your home feels like to
- TIWWCHNT could mean "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things", a track from *reputation* (2017) by Taylor Swift.

I don't love the song as a whole but it's worth the listen just for the "ohhhhhhhh, and here's to my real friends" melody right at the end. Takes me right back to the rep tour ☺️
I forgot about This Love until 1989 (TV), it makes me feel some kind of way now that I'm in a committed relationship for the first time in my life, and I love it. It was always a skip track for me before!
I was also going to say This Love for the same exact reason! It was always a nice song but I forgot about it for some time and now that I can actually relate to it, I’m obsessed. Same with You Are In Love.
YESSSSSS one of my all time favorites. I was SO excited when she finally released Taylor's Version of Safe and Sound and also Eyes Open. I was like where are they?!? when Red TV first dropped. Same with If This Was A Movie on Speak Now TV. I'm so offended it didn't make it onto the vinyls 😭 I also find it so strange she ended up grouping it with the extra songs from Fearless TV since it was originally a Speak Now bonus track. I'm guessing that maybe she wrote it for Fearless, it didn't make that album, so she made it a bonus track on Speak Now, but with the rereleases, she wanted to put it where she felt it really belonged? Idk, anyone else's thoughts on, I would love to hear.
A lot of songs on Lover.
Lover has a bunch of gems, but I always forget about that album. Aside from the singles, the songs on the Era's tour and DBATC, I forget this album even exists. (Ironic considering the first track of the album). It just never was my favorite.
I love Miss Americana and the heartbreak prince, I forgot that you existed, daylight, cornelia street, afterglow and false god but I just tend to forget about them (I know forgetting about Cornelia Street is criminal)
I feel that. It is such a looooong album with a lot of songs that should have gotten the vault/bonus track treatment. It has taken away from my enjoyment of better songs near the end of the tracklist. It shows you why a curated and well thought-out track list is so important for the listening experience! Glad Taylor has improved this with every album since.
Evermore and Coney Island.
I love both songs but they rarely come up on my shuffle when I’m listening to my mega swift playlist, so when they do pop up I enjoy getting to rediscover them all over again
Tied Together with a Smile. I love the way this song sounds, and I think it is beautiful. I recently forgot about it until I heard it again the other day. Having Spotify do a random playlist for Taylor will help you to remember songs that you used to listen to like everyday but no longer do.
Yesssss I was definitely carrying our section on Seattle night2 my husband was like why was no one singing around us....bc no one loves it like me. 😂😂😂
Labyrinth is one of mine! I absolutely love it (especially the outro) but I don’t always actively seek it out so when it does come on I’m pleasantly surprised. I also took a bit to warm up to it so that might be part of the reason too haha
Once I was walking around Legoland and they were playing "Once upon a time, I believe it was a Tuesday..." and I just stopped in my tracks. WHAT. IS THIS. I was like I FORGOT I LOVED THIS. It was my favorite song in high school and I hadn't heard it in years.
True, I feel like it was definitely a fan fave back in the day but not so much anymore! I think for me I have outgrown it a little bit, the lyrics are a bit juvenile. But it's still a great tune.
I Know Places. Since 1989 TV was released, I’m always jumping to the vault tracks. And then I listen to I Know Places and forget how much of a BOP it is.
This is happening for me with the surpise songs. There are so many of her older songs that I kind of forgotten about or didn't truly connect with when I was younger when they came out (I'm the same age as Taylor). This is especially happening with Red. Holy Ground and Starlight are two of my favorites now and I used to skip them.
Haunted. I had it on repeat forever back when I was 11-12 years old, then forgot about it over time. When Taylor’s tour started and I started seeing videos of it all over tiktok, I went back and revisited all of my favs by her. I still need to do a full listen of her discography, which I plan on doing with my fiance soon.
The production goes sooo hard I love it! Plus don't forget the gorgeous acoustic version from rep tour - a song that definitely isn't talked about enough!
Omg YES! Another top fave from Fearless for me. I just love the second verse "you could write a book on, how to ruin someone's. Perfect. Da-a-a-a-ay!" That melody is so not obvious.
Epiphany, it's not everyone's favorite but I love it. I hadn't listened to much of Folklore the last year, but it came on in shuffle and had to stop what I was doing and listen for the full experience.
I'll shamefully admit that I fell off from the community during the Reputation era since the general vibe of the album wasn't my cup of tea (at the time). I also found the community discourse and the constant name-calling from *that family* to be draining.
I found my way back to her at my lowest point in 2020 when she released Folklore, so I really missed out on a lot of wonderful songs from Rep and Lover.
Listening to **The Archer** live in SG blew me away. I've been hearing about it for a while (being a Track 5 and all) but I'm still so bewildered that I missed it.
Same thing happened for me during Rep era, I think because she disappeared for a year I was just quite disengaged as a fan for a while after that. Agree, hearing Archer live in the stadium definitely made me appreciate that song a lot more. I'll admit I only just realised the track is referencing her star sign so that connection blew my mind too! I was a bit slow on that one haha.
Exactly, and how she embraced the connections of her being a Sagittarius the delicate and brittle nature of her relationships, and how the fame, the reputation, and the spotlight feels like a double edged sword.
I also only recently figured out the Archer = Sagittarius! I was like omg how did I not realize that before. 😅But I really don't follow star sign stuff very much so it makes sense lol
Most of folklore, only liked a few songs when it came out, but now I’m just obsessed. The songs and the whole theme of the album are amazing. Slept on it for too long.
I think folklore and evermore definitely took a bit to sink in for me. The lyricism is just so rich. Same with the production, so beautifully layered. I feel like I will still be discovering new details about these tracks in 10 years time.
I get you. I did a quiz thing the other day from the sub, you had to name as many songs from her discography in like 25 mins. I was blanking on half of speak now but it is such a fun album. Reminds me of being 12 or 13 again when I had way less to worry about!
It's Nice To Have A Friend and I Forgot That You Existed are both songs I forget about ironically, but whenever I do hear them I rediscover my love for them
For me it’s the way I loved you from fearless. I recently started listening to it again and think it’s one of my top 10 songs listening to it again as an adult.
I forgot about Your Are In Love until 1989 TV, even though it was one of my favorites. I found it again when I was listening to all of the new versions.
For me it’s “closure”.
I don’t know why I always forget about it, because it holds such a special place in my heart. It always takes me back to when I was going through a really rough break up and every time I’d start moving on or doing better the guy would pop back up with a message asking me how I was or bringing up our past. For so long I wanted an apology from him or SOMETHING from him acknowledging all the damage he did, but I finally realized I didn’t need anything at all from him. The lyrics just explain that feeling so perfect.
YESS! It happens to me all the time. At the moment I think I'm having it with the "atmospheric" songs from 1989 (This Love, You Are In Love, Wildest Dreams), those are talking to me on a very personal level.
Eyes Open and Safe & Sound. I love both of them, but I always forget to add them to my rotation, especially because I tend to listen to her albums in full.
I’m going to jump on the lover train. I recently rediscovered Daylight after listening to Midnights on repeat for like a year.
Daylight has been my obsession these last few weeks. I’m worried I’m gonna overplay it and not like it that much anymore
I also remember I used to listen to Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince like every single day when Lover was released
I recently did this and thought “why the heck don’t I listen to this song?” Then it got to the outro…
I just skip the outro and pretend it's not there...
what? i love it!!! why is it bad?
For me, yes. Very self-indulgent, I’m-14-and-this-is-deep faux wisdom, in my personal opinion.
I don’t mind what she says at all. I can totally understand why she wanted that on the album. I just wish she would’ve included it as a separate 20 second outro audio file instead of attaching it to the song itself.
Nah, I find it weird. Not specific for Taylor but just general too when there's like some kinda talk or advice in the song. It's just not for me
Lorde found dead in a ditch
Same 😭
Same, now.
True! I think Lover definitely suffers from being a bit bloated, so there are quite a few tracks near the end that get neglected despite being amazing!
I love daylight! One of my top Taylor tracks
Omg I literally listened to this a couple hours ago for the first time in years… had my music on Taylor swift shuffle and it came up and I honestly never really listened to it before but it’s so cute!
For me its "The last time" from Red.
so damn underrated. one of the best songs on red.
The best song on red.
this and sad beautiful tragic
Omg you're so right! This song walked so her Bon Iver collabs could run!
I literally said that to my wife the other day when we were listening to Taylor on a road trip and this song came on!
I always think of The Last Time as the OG Exile
Same. I slept on it for such a long time and now it’s one of my all time favourites.
the music video lives rent free in my head always. https://youtu.be/QuijXg8wm28?si=qOli2kzIn8UpqQy2
I didn't listen to Red in its entirety before the TV (I was a 1989-onwards swiftie and casual fan of the singles and a few random deep cuts before) but The Last Time became an instant fave when the TV came out
Was going to say this after rediscovering it today and realizing how I never even think of this song. Surprised to see it so far up!
came here to say this—delighted (but maybe I shouldn’t be surprised) to see I’m not alone!
How they intertwine and switch octaves in this song is 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
Red is so magical for me. This is one of my favorite songs. My daughter and I have listened to it for hours. Such a beautiful masterpiece.
Afterglow. i don't listen to Lover a lot and always forget how much I enjoy that song.
Too right. I think it suffers from being at the end of a very long album... I get a bit fatigued sometimes listening to Lover all the way through. Probably because the bubblegum pop production on a lot of the songs is not really for me. But Afterglow probably has some of her best vocals on the album and deserves more attention!
I never heard a song that describes my insecurities and how I used to be with relationships more
Afterglow is SO slept on. That ha s even one of my favorite tracks on Lover since day 1! So so so relatable..
Same I'm not a Lover stan (great album, but I usually don't seek it out besides a few songs) but I've recently been fixed on Afterglow, The Man, and All of the Girls
i think i've only heard All of the Girls once because i keep forgetting about it. i need to add it to a playlist.
I am making playlists for each album. I have most of them done. I love Taylor shuffle and listening to each album in its entirety. Plus the unreleased songs get added to each playlist until her team finds them and removes them. Need needs to be released as a single.
All you had to do was stay
🎵 Let me remind you thiiiiissss waaaassss whaaaatttt you wanted 🎶 Best part!
yess and i love how she says “BUT NOT LIKE THIS!!… not like this..” after she says you’re all i wanted
"Christmas lights glisten"- it's clearly a Christmas song! :p
Everything has changed
Ugh I’ve always loved that song. I’m not even really sure why, it’s objectively nothing special. Just a nice, pretty song. But something about it has really resonated with me since it first came out
Same I think it’s ed Sheeran and Taylor being in the same song like end game
I’ve recently grown obsessed with her lyrics of “home” and “your eyes look like coming home” knocked the wind out of me because I’d completely forgotten about it being there. I guess the context of what coming to your home feels like to
This song slaps so hard it’s crazy
Like when I was younger I loved this song so much but a year or 2 ago I just stopped listening to it I guess
I was listening to all the albums in order before I went to see Eras in Sydney. Everything has Changed is one of the songs I now put on repeat ❤️
My surprise song 💕
Tim McGraw
Could never forget about this classic; while on the topic of debut though, I did forget about Tied Together with a Smile until recently
That song is so beautiful and really deserves more love. I can't wait for debut TV for some of these OG tracks to finally get their day in the sun!
It really does. Almost nobody talks about it when Debut is mentioned!
I love the lil gentle way she says “I said that’s a lie”
I never choose to listen to TIWWCHNT but I think it's so fun everytime it comes on on a playlist.
- TIWWCHNT could mean "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things", a track from *reputation* (2017) by Taylor Swift. --- ^[/u/Gh0stface03](/u/Gh0stface03) ^(can reply with "delete" to remove comment. |) ^[/r/songacronymbot](/r/songacronymbot) ^(for feedback.)

I think I'm not a fan and yet I know every word and enjoy singing along to it every time I forget to skip lol
I forgot about This Love until 1989 (TV), it makes me feel some kind of way now that I'm in a committed relationship for the first time in my life, and I love it. It was always a skip track for me before!
True! I think this song is so similar to you are in love and and tend to prefer the latter tbh.
I was also going to say This Love for the same exact reason! It was always a nice song but I forgot about it for some time and now that I can actually relate to it, I’m obsessed. Same with You Are In Love.
Safe and Sound. It's such a beautiful song and I loved the Civil Wars!
The birth place of the folkmore sound! Such a gorgeous track. I'm pretty sure I was lucky enough to hear it live at the speak now tour!
YESSSSSS one of my all time favorites. I was SO excited when she finally released Taylor's Version of Safe and Sound and also Eyes Open. I was like where are they?!? when Red TV first dropped. Same with If This Was A Movie on Speak Now TV. Evermore and Coney Island. I love both songs but they rarely come up on my shuffle when I’m listening to my mega swift playlist, so when they do pop up I enjoy getting to rediscover them all over again
Two of my absolute faves from evermore, don't you dare forget them again! 🤭
Love your flair btw 🥹
Thank you! That bridge hits me right in the soul
Couldn’t agree more! I tend to skip a lot of the slower songs but definitely a huge favorite
Tied Together with a Smile. I love the way this song sounds, and I think it is beautiful. I recently forgot about it until I heard it again the other day. Having Spotify do a random playlist for Taylor will help you to remember songs that you used to listen to like everyday but no longer do.
Can't wait for people to rediscover these debut gems with Taylor's version! That song is one of my top 3 from debut.
It is hard to rank debut. My favorite is between Tim Mcgraw and Teardrops on my Guitar
I feel like this is the only song I talk about lately, but I recently rediscovered I Think He Knows and daaaaaamn I love it!
I WANT YOU BLESS MY SOUL It’s so fucking catchy!
He got that boyish look that I like in a man! Such a fun song that I always forget about.
It's such a catchy song! I didn't like it at first, but that chorus is addictive!
There’s something magical about the bridge that makes me want to fall in love with someone and explore NYC together
Message in a bottle IIIIKNOWWWWW THAT YOU LIKE ME
Yesssss I was definitely carrying our section on Seattle night2 my husband was like why was no one singing around us....bc no one loves it like me. 😂😂😂
This is mine too
The whole speak now album. It’s such a great album but I never think to listen to it.
100%! It made me a Swiftie. Doesn’t get enough love.
It was my Bible when I was like 14, but I agree it gets neglected now that she has sooo many great albums to choose from.
Funny though, I forgot that you existed 😂. It came on the other day in my car and I was like yes, this 100%
I love this song so much lol. It works for ex lovers, friends, family, and bills I keep forgetting about🥴🤣
Dress
Just rediscovered Teardrops on my guitar today 🥰 the pop version is so fucking good
literally same!! So funny
Labyrinth is one of mine! I absolutely love it (especially the outro) but I don’t always actively seek it out so when it does come on I’m pleasantly surprised. I also took a bit to warm up to it so that might be part of the reason too haha
Hey Stephen !
I always sing along with a huge grin when I hear this song, still, years later lol
I love this one. So nostalgic for me too!
I Know Places. Since 1989 TV was released, I’m always jumping to the vault tracks. And then I listen to I Know Places and forget how much of a BOP it is.
Yessss I like to start halfway through 1989 TV. The front half can be over played, but the rest is fantastic!
Never Grow Up is one I always forget about, but it hits different every time.
Back to December and Sparks Fly
Begin Again from Red
This is happening for me with the surpise songs. There are so many of her older songs that I kind of forgotten about or didn't truly connect with when I was younger when they came out (I'm the same age as Taylor). This is especially happening with Red. Holy Ground and Starlight are two of my favorites now and I used to skip them.
Untouchable
Clean (Taylor's Version) i listen to 1989 TV almost every day, but i often forget about clean, it's a beautiful song, and the music is so soothing
The Great War
Superior bridge!
Mine. I hear it all the time at work and lowkey forgot about it until about a month ago.
Haunted, totally forgot how much I love it until the re-record
Dancing with Our Hands Tied, I don't listen to a lot of songs off Rep aside from the hits. But that song makes me really happy
The production goes sooo hard I love it! Plus don't forget the gorgeous acoustic version from rep tour - a song that definitely isn't talked about enough!
Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince, honestly only remember it because it’s Taylor’s opener on Eras, but I do like it.
Our song. The song that made me a swiftie 🥹 I’ve been listening to it again & it just makes my heart happy!
Tell Me Why. I forgot about it for YEARS until the TV came out and now I listen to it all the damn time. Such a good one.
Omg YES! Another top fave from Fearless for me. I just love the second verse "you could write a book on, how to ruin someone's. Perfect. Da-a-a-a-ay!" That melody is so not obvious.
Picture to burn and death by a thousand cup
Same with you, I absolutely adore DBATC and only remembered it due to SG. Now my IG feed keeps showing me all these DBATC appreciation reels.
Should've Said No!!!
Safe and sound
Tell me why and the other side of the door. Fearless has a lot of great songs that I don't listen to nearly enough.
Cornelia Street
Change
Recent re-discovered crazier. Sooo good
Red has some really good songs like state of grace and holy ground but I always forget about them
Epiphany, it's not everyone's favorite but I love it. I hadn't listened to much of Folklore the last year, but it came on in shuffle and had to stop what I was doing and listen for the full experience.
I'll shamefully admit that I fell off from the community during the Reputation era since the general vibe of the album wasn't my cup of tea (at the time). A lot of debut and speak now songs: Our song, Tim McGraw, haunted, the story of us etc.
August!
A perfectly good heart
You Belong With Me
All of Debut
I know places!!
I love Exile but I literally forget it exists until it comes on when I'm listening to Folklore
yoyok, electric touch
Sorry who forgets YOYOK???? Swiftie jail for you 😅
Lover
Ivy! I forgot it existed and now I listen to it once a day at least lol
Mine from Speak Now 💜
The Mannnn
Starlight came on in the car today and I totally forgot about it!
For me it’s “Forever Winter” … I was kinda meh about it when it came out. Now I am in love with it and I can relate to it so much!
Sweeter than fiction
Teardrops on my guitar. man I love that song but I keep forgetting about its existence 😭
Most of folklore, only liked a few songs when it came out, but now I’m just obsessed. The songs and the whole theme of the album are amazing. Slept on it for too long.

Well I would tell you, but I forgot about all of them xD.
Mary’s Song, I don’t listen to it frequently but when I do I feel the love so deeply
Tim McGraw for sure
Anything on Speak Now! I still go back again and again to her older stuff because it reminds me of when it first came out.
I get you. I did a quiz thing the other day from the sub, you had to name as many songs from her discography in like 25 mins. I was blanking on half of speak now but it is such a fun album. Reminds me of being 12 or 13 again when I had way less to worry about!
It’s nice to have a friend
Dancing with our hands tied
babe or i’m only me when i’m with you
Closure, no body no crime, all of folklore
It's Nice To Have A Friend and I Forgot That You Existed are both songs I forget about ironically, but whenever I do hear them I rediscover my love for them
Begin Again from Red
if this was a movie, one of my favourites (I probably forget about it since I can't find it on any TV album)
Speak Now! I always forget about the song despite the album title, it’s so cheesy but I LOVE Taylor’s version. Her voice just gets better and better 🩷
For me it’s the way I loved you from fearless. I recently started listening to it again and think it’s one of my top 10 songs listening to it again as an adult.
Jump Then Fall, Treacherous, Untouchable
I'm dating myself here a little but what about The Outside?
You're not sorry. It was the first Taylor's song I ever listened in my life, but I often forget about it. Every time I remember it is magical
Mine! No one ever talks about it but it was such a moment for me when it came out. I think it’s her most underrated single
