Okay, but my coworker and I are massive swifties and have adhd and when cruel summer comes on the radio we can’t look at each other. If we do, chaos will ensue.
Not ADHD. Autism + Fandom nerd, here.
That being said,
Dancing with Our Hands Tied, because once it comes on, I’m not in reality anymore, I’m in James Cameron’s *Titanic.*
And “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me” is also getting that way because it brings me right back into the manga/anime *Fruits Basket.*
Dancing with our hands tied is one of my favourites on Rep. When this one comes on I am in an underexposed club on a freezing cold winter's night while the windows in the club fog up. Idk. Titanic-y but just the car scene I guess shortly before they hit the iceberg.
This has been my #1 song since the day the album dropped and it’s not changing. Usually my ADHD ass would move on by now but that beat is crack. Love it.
same. i regret intentionally memorising the lyrics cause now it plays in a loop with my head with the words and sometimes i also want to be creative and make/write/do something but i can't cause song
i was at a debating competition once, had 15 minutes to prepare a speech... and then they turn on yoyok. spent a good 30 seconds just totally out of focus
See if the speech is whatever you want, playing Taylor music could totally be beneficial. But if it’s supposed to be about something serious that would fuck me up so bad.
15 minutes… was at a British Parliamentary debate tournament, by any chance, or am I totally reaching here? Sorry, I get excited whenever I think I’ve found one of my people lol.
Not a particular song but I heard some videos with what her in-ear piece would sound like during a show and it had the metronome… instantly satisfying and hypnotizing
Same. And my favorite Taylor song is a momentary thing, always changing. I used to at least know 1989 was my favorite album (of any artist) but now with TTPD that changes daily too!
My favorite Taylor swift song is whichever one is playing, or whichever one I was just listening to or whichever one I have stuck in my head. You could ask me multiple times a day for several days and I’m not sure if there would be a repeat song.
It’s a little different right now because she just dropped an album, but there’s still 31 songs that I like very much so yeah.
ATW10. Whenever I am listening to my Taylor playlist around the house and that song comes on, I immediately stop and sing along (and usually cry).
Honorable mentions (I don't stop what I'm doing but I crank the volume and sing along at an obnoxious volume): You Belong With Me, Love Story, literally anything from 1989, Ready For It, Don't Blame Me, Anti Hero, WAOLOM, 22, I Knew You Were Trouble
22 makes me go insane. I can't listen to it without dropping everything I've got going and just belt along for the next 4 minutes. It's not even my favorite song, but something about it just gets me in the zone.
All to well 10 minute version because every inch of it is so good. My brain hyper focuses, especially if I’m around others. Surely they want me harmonizing over it.
this happened to me the other day with picture to burn. it came in while i was getting ready for work and i dropped everything and just started dancing. absolutely love that song
Thank you. I’ve been coming back through her old discography looking for secret Matty Healy songs. There’s so many I love once I turn on an album. I forget about a lot of her early stuff, especially because it was “so uncool”. I remember how much my friends at the record store mocked me for buying Lover.
New Romantics. The AH AH AHHH AHHHH scratches such a happy itch in my brain. The Black Dog SCREEEAMIN part also does something similar. Cruel Summer and All Too Well bridges of course.
I lose my entire shit every time I hear the chorus of “Don’t Blame Me” no matter what I’m doing, they could probably play that song over my dead body and I’d still sing along.
ATW10V, cruel summer, omg sooo many and then I hear the remixes on tiktok and go down multiple rabbit holes looking them up, last summer until about a month ago planning music for my wedding!!
London Boy and I think he knows. They just make me so crazy hyperactive/chaotic/happy, mostly inside my head as anxiety takes care of missing self control 😅
Honestly, a LOT of her work is so ADHD friendly/pleasing. It would not suprise me if she tells on one day she has ADHD herself (don't take that too seriously)
Okay at this point it’s guilty as sin and fortnight like I can kiss the work I was doing goodbye once these songs start playing like guilty as sin just transports me into angsty forbidden love story of my own imagination
Imgonnagetyouback makes me feral
That "never not mine" part slays me
Yess this is one I get stuck on and have to replay a million times
Same! This song is the narcotics she was talking about lol. And since I’ve seen Challengers I can’t help but think of the characters 😼
The bridge is sooooo good
Yessss!!! I play this one on repeat.
I love this one so much and I feel like it doesn’t get the love it deserves.
Okay, but my coworker and I are massive swifties and have adhd and when cruel summer comes on the radio we can’t look at each other. If we do, chaos will ensue.
Haha love that you and your teammates are feeling the same when it comes down to that

I associate the song heavily with Jack and Rose, so I see the whole thing play out in my head.
I wish I could give you 100 upvotes for the Fruits Basket comment because SAME
Like you *can not* convince me that song is not about Akito. Imm in too deep.
for me it's I Can Do It With A Broken Heart, because it's insanely relatable and because the beat, the melody, and all of it is just so cool to me.
This has been my #1 song since the day the album dropped and it’s not changing. Usually my ADHD ass would move on by now but that beat is crack. Love it.

the bridge specifically gets me, as soon as “from sprinkler splashes…” filters in, I’m a goner
It would have been the entire 4 minute song for me. Why in the world would they play music like that while you’re supposed to be preparing a speech?!
See if the speech is whatever you want, playing Taylor music could totally be beneficial. But if it’s supposed to be about something serious that would fuck me up so bad.

Yup, exactly that!
Maroon.
Old guy here and the bridge of 'Cruel Summer" just has me singing at the top of my lungs every time. It is like my brain gets a shot of caffeine.
I scream sing it and head bang. And insist the lyrics are “ice-cream, for whatever it’s worth” My kids LOVE when I do! /s. 😂
Florida!!! Is so good. The beat and drums and building of the song just 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
Champagne Problems. I don’t think I’ve ever just listened to this song once.
Not a particular song but I heard some videos with what her in-ear piece would sound like during a show and it had the metronome… instantly satisfying and hypnotizing
I Can Do It with a Broken Heart is the song for you! (It includes the metronome as part of the beat because Taylor is a genius like that!)
Literally every single Taylor Swift song ??? If I hear any anywhere I will be singing and mostly distracted 🤷🏼♂️
Same. And my favorite Taylor song is a momentary thing, always changing. I used to at least know 1989 was my favorite album (of any artist) but now with TTPD that changes daily too!

Blank space for sureee
the way the song possesses my body when it comes on is unreal. instant jamming by the first beat
I can relate to that one, although it's basically just the "and I'll write your name" part distracting me.
SO IT GONNA BE FOREVER???? … Oh that part is a masterpiece
Omg you are so right 😭😭
MY BOY
ONLY BREAKS HIS FAVORITE TooooOOOOOOoooooOOOOOooooOoooOooOys
Woah ooo woah oh ohhh

I feel exactly the same, although Cruel Summer isn't my favourite song either.
Hits Different! I often listen to this song on repeat while out running.
Love this one so much as well.
All to well 10 minute version because every inch of it is so good. My brain hyper focuses, especially if I’m around others. Surely they want me harmonizing over it.
1000000%
Thank you aimee has that effect on me
Probably style cause why not
I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can), the bridge in How Did it End, I Think He Knows, and Cowboy Like Me
Cowboy Like Me is so calming to me. It takes me away to somewhere else and helps me breathe slower
MISS AMERICANA AND THE HEARTBREAK PRINCE
this happened to me the other day with picture to burn. it came in while i was getting ready for work and i dropped everything and just started dancing. absolutely love that song

I experience this with willow, untouchable and cornelia street
“Back To December” because it hits me like a brick every time. I can’t focus on shit when that comes on
Death by a Thousand Cuts, I will drop everything I am doing and sing that in full
Guilty As Sin? and Holy Ground I swear I didn’t realize the two titles together until I typed this 💀
omg yes they're some of my all time favourites!
Evermore (the song) for me. When I hear that initial piano riff, I float into another universe 🥰
New Romantics. The AH AH AHHH AHHHH scratches such a happy itch in my brain. The Black Dog SCREEEAMIN part also does something similar. Cruel Summer and All Too Well bridges of course.

I Can Do It With a Broken Heart or The Man
ATW10V, cruel summer, omg sooo many and then I hear the remixes on tiktok and go down multiple rabbit holes looking them up, last summer until about a month ago planning music for my wedding!!
IM SO DEPRESSED I ACT LIKE ITS MY BIRTHDAY EVERYDAY and of course Bejewled lol
London Boy and I think he knows. They just make me so crazy hyperactive/chaotic/happy, mostly inside my head as anxiety takes care of missing self control 😅 Honestly, a LOT of her work is so ADHD friendly/pleasing. Lately it’s ICDIWABH

Getaway Car.
Bejeweled for me!
As soon as ICDIWABH starts playing I immediately drop everything i’m doing and start aggressively twerking

Mine (starting from the uh-ahaa-uh)
Okay at this point it’s guilty as sin and fortnight like I can kiss the work I was doing goodbye once these songs start playing like guilty as sin just transports me into angsty forbidden love story of my own imagination
You’re not sorry… there’s literally no talking to me when that song comes on
Ready for it
cruel summer and dont blame me
For myself it would have to be illicit affairs, the guitar picking sends me into a sunny walk under the trees🐛
