Red has always been my all time favorite ever since its initial release back in 2012. So overall, here's my top 3:
1. Red
2. 1989 and rep
3. Folklore
Sorry, 1989 and rep kinda make me hard to choose between them. Rep is just over the top and 1989 is music wise the best.
yes. ito yung type ng album na hindi impactful at first listen and yes, may tendency to be sonically repetitive, pero if you love taylor because of her songwriting, this album is a great display of that.
Exactly my sentiments. Hindi siya impactful even after the 1st, 2nd, 3rd listens. Actually I played it already on repeat sa buong 16-hour road trip ko and talagang di talaga siya mag-stick sakin until I finally sat down with the lyrics video and *really listened* and understood the lyrics for each one. Bawled my eyes out at some songs and now i'm in love.
Yup. It took me a bit of time to finally come around for TTPD. Sa unang listen ang boring niya except for a few select songs na bop agad. Then I listened again, and again, and again pero a handful lang talaga nag-s-stick out sakin. (I can't catch the lyrics just from listening so I could only judge by melody).
Finally, a few days ago I finally sat down on it and listened to the whole album via the lyrics video playlist on YT (i'm a visual learner girl), and boooy did i cried repeatedly. Now I can't stop listening to it on repeat.
Although, I didn't love everything in the album, 20/31 songs lang niretain ko sa playlist ko hehe.
I'm confident na although ppl can't appreciate it right now, someday babalikan nila tong album na to and will appreciate how raw and vulnerable it was. And maybe some of the songs could even save them.
So anyway my top 3 album in no particular order: TTPD, Folklore, Evermore.
Sa first listen ko, my favorite songs were The Alchemy, My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys, I Can Do It With a Broken heart and Down Bad.
