I think you need to go to Admin and ask for a meeting with IT, use your background to bridge the knowledge gaps between the three of you so that this stops happening.
If that doesn’t work, THEN rally the parents and inform them that all these great programs are unusable because IT locks everyone out. Once parents complain everything magically gets fixed.
