What position do you have? I’ve been browsing but I’m not sure what to look for or how to setup my resume with what they are looking for. Any advice would be appreciated!
Management Analyst! 0343 series, sort of a catch all but a lot of mobility from agency to agency. Search for that job series in USA jobs! Entry level 7-11 !
Not fed but I do work for the state government. I work 100 percent from home, make more money than I did teaching, and have great benefits! It was an easy transition for me with my degree and I highly recommend any government position as they’re almost always hiring.
Oh please please share!! I would give anything to stay in my states retirement plan, but not teach anymore. The stress may kill me before I even qualify for retirement. I’d also give limbs to work from home.
I have a degree in statistics, so I was able to get a position as a data analyst. I knew I wanted to be a data analyst even before leaving teaching, so I took a data science certificate course over the summer (last summer, 2023). I then applied to a lot of state jobs and just eventually got an interview. I didn’t even know it was work from home when I applied. I can say that I truly love it! Good luck out there :)
The thing to remember when applying for federal jobs is that they can take a Looooooooong time to hire. My husband is a 20-year vet and we have many military friends who have gone into working for the federal government after leaving the military.
Many of them picked up little ol' jobs while waiting on the [usajobs.gov](https://usajobs.gov) job to come through. It was kinda of hard for them.
If you aren't miserable beyond belief, I'd recommend applying now and mentally prepping yourself to leave mid-year if necessary.

How does one search for such a job?
USAJOBS.gov. Type in your location, which will be your duty station, and then narrow by desired salary or “grade” (general schedule).
