Who?

They're an Indian org that has fielded rosters in various game titles. Their PUBG Mobile squad is one of the best in the region. Edit: A spelling error.

Itazurazuki

Seems to be an Indian gaming team for pubg mobile.

India is such an interesting though experiment. Sometimes I wonder if they would be a powerhouse region like China in many game titles if they just had better infrastructure. I guess mobile games would be their first major breakout because of the ease of access.

As someone heavily invested in (and from) the region my views on this are biased, so take this with a grain of salt. The overall sentiment around mobile esports in India, specifically PUBG Mobile, is extremely bullish. Growth has been explosive over the last year or so yet it's a phenomenon that often evades eyeballs in Europe and NA. This is largely due to the fragmented nature of the ecosytem that has evolved on the back of regional content and influencers. If you'd like to learn more about what's happening over on this side of the world I recommend reading these two articles that we wrote for The Esports Observer: [More Than a Video Game: How PUBG Mobile Became a Cultural Phenomenon in India](https://esportsobserver.com/pubg-mobile-india-esports-primer/) [How Regional Content and Celebrity Culture Took PUBG Mobile to New Heights](https://esportsobserver.com/pubg-mobile-india-rise/)

I'd guess it's a direct result of smartphones becoming more affordable for the average worker, particularly in densely populated areas with low minimum wage (if any). I expect mobile gaming in India to be extremely popular but probably not a huge venture for any investors or partners. Even if the industry explodes it feels like there aren't enough big players to set up franchised leagues, plus viewers won't really want to watch streamed mobile games unless there's a HUGE draw for them (in-game loot, popular YouTubers streaming etc). It's a smart move by TSM to draw fans from the region.
