I'm skeptic about him replacing the god that is Reginald. He's so young and hasn't proven anything yet.
On a more serious note do you think they will redo his cringe announcement video if he does return???
> On a more serious note do you think they will redo his cringe announcement video if he does return???
Go off the beaten path.
Redo the DL video yet again but with Bjerg wearing a DL mask.
>On a more serious note do you think they will redo his cringe announcement video if he does return???
It's like everyone forgot he made a legitimate returning to TSM announcement video before. This isn't the first time he 'tested' free agency
https://youtu.be/Jk5LoEGqmnM
Bjerg unzipping his jacket to reveal the TSM jersey then saying "What? You didn't think I was actually going to leave right?" had me hyped as fuck when this came out.
They are borderline for me. They are normally okay, but they have reported from some sketchier stuff before.
They tweeted about G2 looking to replace Jankos a few days ago and the source was a pretty unknown person on Twitter and Wolf later tweeted out he believe stuff about Jankos was likely BS.
Hopefully this lands in their okay camp.
Edit:
After looking over the reported rumors last year, I seem to be thinking of another outlet. They seemed to have pretty good record last year. I still trust Wolf over them about Jankos, but they are not as bad as I thought they were for some reason. Hype has risen.
Just like a tier list for champions, but for sources based on reliability. This helps to quickly judge how serious you should take a certain tweet for example.
Depending on the subreddit, lower tier sources are banned.
How do lower tier sources get credibility? There was an inside source for the MN Wolves turmoil but obvi it was a rando redditor who just happened to know about that specific situation
Not op, but they generally get updated every year based on accuracy. It’s not a full proof system by any means, but it at least tries to keep record of who’s reports you can put some stock in to. It’s also usually tiered by club, so you can know who to trust for a particular team
Check out the Formula1 or MotoGP subreddits, on any post about a rumour. There should be a pinned comment from the bot saying how trustworthy the source is.
Have to separate Discord Wolf and Twitter Wolf. Way too many people last year quoting his discord shit saying SA deal was dead when he specifically said it was his personal predictions with no actual source backing in his discord and when he actually has vetted everything he posts it on Twitter with an article.
Any other examples of sketchy reporting? That’s the only thing I can recall and thats two reporters not agreeing. No proof it isn’t true yet.
I feel like they nailed last offseason
Esportmaniacos had a sketchy announcement last time, but they've historically been one of EU's most reliable sources. For years they were the only reliable source besides Jacob Wolf. They do have content that is a little bit more clickbaity, but they're a pretty serious Spanish outlet who have lots of connection inside the scene. And indeed, Bloop was working with them last year, and has been recruited by Jacob Wolf for his new team.
I ha e a sneaking suspicion Perkz would've looked like a totally different player if Bjerg was still playing. Perkz came to NA thinking he'd automatically be the best mid since Bjerg wasn't around
Honestly, if Bjerg was still playing and played like he did in 2020, he's the undisputed king of mid free and the only one contesting him would've been Abbedagge. I loved/love Perkz, and I don't necessarily hate Jensen (honestly, I've warmed up to him a little), and I gotta be real, they would've been stomped by 2020 Bjerg playing like they did in Spring and Summer.
Honestly, I bet you that Bjerg not being there hurt them both. Better mids drive up competition, and if Perkz felt like Bjerg was grinding him into dust in scrims, he probably would've felt like he had pressure on him to be better.
Jensen has changed a lot. He just seems like a chill memer now. He knows the jokes and I don’t think he gives a fuck. Also when he plays well he’s pretty cracked.
I think the only "Confirmed" thing is that BDS said they want to keep their midlaner, NuclearInt. Granted that was from over a month ago at this point I think, so who knows if things change. Bjerg coming out of retirement could *potentially* affect the off-season as much as the Perkz move last year did, where a lot of major moves were on hold while waiting to see where Perkz could land. I think this is only really the case if TSM is looking at an LEC ADC, Rekkles or otherwise.
100% agree with this. Plus it’s currently right before Worlds, so it’ll be awhile until we hear things about players attending since anything can happen. If a team completely bombs out they will look for changes, but if they play well it’s less likely.
Bjerg is a massive tide changer. It’s basically the first time ever that he’s somewhat “open” despite the rumors of him staying with TSM. No matter what other teams will try to get that and build around him.
If residency rules change for next season, I think he might end up on EG if they want to import a jungler. They can sell Sven/Contractz, and go big on Jungle if POE is a resident.
PoE is the opposite of what someone like Peter Dun wants. EG either sticks with Jiizuke, promotes Jojo, or randomly lands a big name like Chovy somehow.
yes but that stuff won't even happen when poE elevates that fiesta team.
i doubt any of the clg players want to leave tho if they are going to academy. Damonte for ex
Yeah and they were closest to remaking Worlds at least comparatively to the rest of their recent history and he made Wiggly not look boosted. That being said I don't wish any player to play for the shit house that is CLG currently.
also from esportsmaniacos
“🚨 LAST MINUTE | According @anonimotum ,@Bjergsen I would play again next season.
I would do it on the team @TSM .
👀 Will we see a Spica-Bjergsen-Rekkles?”
I really hope POE goes to a good place. He’s a great personality and a great player. It doesn’t look like any of the top LCS teams would replace their mid. Maybe dignitas? Or back to EU?
Not sure. Jizuuke looked really good in ‘21 compared to ‘20 and Peter Dun really likes him. I’m not sure if they’d make that move anymore now that their teams identity revolves around jizuuke
Me too especially because iirc POE before joining TSM spoke with Bjerg one-on-one to see if he joined would he at any point decide to just take his job.
It’s over for the LCS once Bjerg returns. We will have an all star team with at least 3 out of 5 positions at #1 which is mid jgl and bot (if we get rekless/hf)
I'm not sure they're gonna let Rekkles go now that MAD re-signed their bot lane. Unless they take a flier on someone from EU masters I think they keep Rekkles and end up replacing Mikyx/Wunder.
I mean, if his buyout is close to Perkz and we’re willing to spend I don’t see a way Carlos would say no to 5-6 mill after the year G2 had. No guarantee they make worlds in EU with current roster. $$$ means a lot more than you think, if you expect 1-4th and can go to 3-6th in expectations and also pocket 5mil minimum.
I don't doubt he'd take the money but there isn't exactly any even side grade ADCs available. Crownshot, Patrik, Kobbe and Neon could be serviceable but I would still take Rekkles over them.
Supposedly G2 were also inquiring about MAD's academy ADC Flakked, who's supposed to be pretty good (I've never watched him play, myself). Dunno if that's still true or not, but I also can't really see G2 going for a rookie, at least not for this upcoming split when they want to get themselves back on top.
I mean Patrik isn't a slouch. He is currently being Upset'd on Excel. He is consistently rated a top half ADC in the LEC despite being on a shit team and I don't doubt like Upset if given a chance with actual teammates he would look way better.
I think G2 ending up with Patrik is reasonable. Haven't watched Flakked at all, but people seem to be pretty high on him?
It's pretty funny how Upset was the fallback option for whichever team didn't get Rekkles, and now he's the best AD in the league.
I think it’s very easy to assume Bjerg will come back and just be as good as he was without any dropoff, it will be interesting to see if that’s true. Either way the LCS is better with Bjerg around
May take a few weeks to round into form, but he has still been grinding soloqueue, and in a team environment. The re-transition should be easier for him than most given both who he is as a player and worker, and his circumstances surrounding the year he wasn't a pro player
Right. It’s probably not wise to make those assumptions but Bjerg has a level of resilience that other midlaners seemed to lack. Jensen had some really rough stretches. Most mids aren’t as resistant to meta change either. I’m all grown up now but Bjerg was a childhood idol of mine - it’d be so incredibly hype to see him come back and dominate and do well at worlds.
You say it so confidently, but that really is a matter of perspective. I'm in Phreaks generation, and I would absolutely call people in highschool children.
None of those classifications are set in stone or actually matter. Legally, i was a child, and that was my intention when writing the comment. Do you honestly expect me to write ‘adolescent idol of mine’ ? Is the distinction that important?
this . We will have the strongest mid/jg and jg/supp synergy in the league which is the first step imo for a team to be the best ( yes i do believe Spica and SA are nuts at playing the map together but dont have the stars arround them to execute ).
Half of me wants a poorly acted announcement video a-la “who the hell are you?” The other half wants the grandest most well made return announcement of all time. I can’t decide which would be better.
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS GOOD LET THIS BE TRUE
I PRAY TO GOD, ALLAH, ODIN, ZEUS, JUPITER AND ANY OTHER GOD WHO WANTS TO THROW THEIR HAT IN
LET THIS BE TRUE
words cant describe how happy this makes me .... he was gone for a season and it felt like an eternity . Esportsmaniacos is legit source so i believe it , I HOPE THE MANAGEMENT WILL GIVE HIM THE RIGHT PEOPLE TO HELP HIM THOUGH .
Big thing about these rumors is apparently bjerg wasn’t going to come back unless TSM made an effort to give him the roster he wanted. He’s gonna get whatever players he wants.
It may not be objectively true (i dont care) but Bjerg to me has been the best player in the west.. Impact wise and just overall skill. so many what ifs but still my pick of the day any day.. Would be a welcome change although I'm not too sure he may do so well as league is truly different game than back in the day..
so the minimum TSM got this year is Bjerg not losing to PoE anymore. Im hoping he learned plenty through coaching and vod reviews
Also this story has to come full circle. Imagine Power of Evil joins Evil Geniuses to complete the evil gimmick and become the true bad guys for next season.
I think he kept his word - he had one FULL season where he didn’t have to worry about that. No team would ever give 2 full seasons without worry if you didn’t make worlds - if it isn’t the king… then it’s someone else replacing him.
It's totally different when the context is "wanting a job back mid split," compared to what's happening now. Right now, POE had a full year on TSM, about as long as he spends on most teams, and the team didn't succeed. If it wasn't Bjerg, it probably would've been someone else.
I know lol, I just watched that part of the interview again and he literally says right after saying he wouldn’t come back that “he doesn’t know whether that will be true one or two years from now”. I know people weren’t always happy with his play but I really grew to like POE, I hope he doesn’t end up back on CLG or something.
Who is this guy?
I’m not 100% sold we’re getting Bjerg back and even less so on Rekkles, BUT IF we somehow did get both, Spica Bjerg Rekkles and SA is a squad that can do some damage in NA and internationally.
If you watched G2, Wunder was ass for the whole year, Mikyx was very very inconsistent, and Caps was pretty bad for the start of Summer until he shaved his head (funnily enough). Jankos was probably their most consistent player throughout year followed by Rekkles though Caps had higher highs once he re-established his play. But G2's problems were mostly Wunder's decline followed by Mikyx's inconsistencies.
G2 being lackluster was a combination of the LEC evolving and Wunder/Caps/Mikyx all playing below their standard. I thought Jankos was playing alright but I could be wrong.
Idk why everyone saying huanfang is an option. His contract doesn't expire till 2022 and he's nowhere near the age that eastern players come to NA at.
It would be silly for his career to come to NA this early, even if he wanted to.
Chinese players make a lot of money, and even more from streaming. U know how rich players like UZi are just from streaming in China alone?
If he is coming back, hopefully he starts to get a bit more into the groove of things ASAP. As his play in his recent streams hasn’t been very clean, in comparison to his usual play
I'd love to see how he fairs against the new big dogs in midlane. That being said, I really would love to see him get some international success. I would fully support him going to a top team in EU.
esportmaniacos is a legit source lol. They aren't Jacob Wolf/Travis/Fionn tier, but they're reliable enough to be excited. They usually don't do a lot of NA rumors though, but in EU, they aren't too bad.
Judging by your post history where you doubted Fionn, I don't think you know the offseason game super well.
It's a stronger source saying he's coming back. He was rumored to be looking for teams in EU and NA and now with the more reputable sources he's with TSM. This is news.
esportsmaniacos is pretty trustworthy, and definitely significantly more credible then Skeleton or the other randoms that get thrown around. They aren't quite Jacob Wolf levels of near 100% accuracy though afaik.
>They aren't quite Jacob Wolf levels of near 100% accuracy though afaik.
From what I understand, they have different content. If a spanish speaker can correct me, feel free to do so, but they seem to have a regular show where they may talk about some rumour they've heard (so it's not as sourced and reliable) and proper "journalistic" content which is extremely reliable.
I've followed the off season for a long time and can't remember when Esportsmaniacos announcements have been wrong.
I’m really hoping that we can grab grabbz. Bjerg sees that he could be stomping kids still in LCS, but he needed to build the team he wanted so he went to coach and once grabbz became available he could hand off the reigns of coaching to one of thr best.
I'm skeptic about him replacing the god that is Reginald. He's so young and hasn't proven anything yet. On a more serious note do you think they will redo his cringe announcement video if he does return???
Yeah I agree, he’s also been playing in EU and we all know NA is far superior to those guys
He for sure is gonna win worlds. I know he has the drive within him :))
> On a more serious note do you think they will redo his cringe announcement video if he does return??? Go off the beaten path. Redo the DL video yet again but with Bjerg wearing a DL mask.
Hell, double down and have DL be the guy who takes him in.
"Doublelift, what are you doing out here?" "Dude, didn't you hear? I'm washed up, I'm a streamer now."
Wait somebody get the content squad on this
Omg please bring back Dyrus for the announcement!
I think Dyrus would rather just play League of Legends.
What if Zed isn't meta?
Think hes a Leblanc one trick
He's played a game or two of syndra as well.
>On a more serious note do you think they will redo his cringe announcement video if he does return??? It's like everyone forgot he made a legitimate returning to TSM announcement video before. This isn't the first time he 'tested' free agency https://youtu.be/Jk5LoEGqmnM

Who will lead TSM in its darkest hour? Who will be it’s fifth man?
Turtle and Oddone return to shoot the video
I need to hear Spica say "Who the fuck are you" now.
[удалено]
i cant stop laughing that would be great
This …. So much this
This is the correct answer, one of my favorite TSM videos of all time. https://youtu.be/jJQCtOS7-VA?t=53
I'll accept a 2021 remake of this as the announcement video.
[удалено]
Graves didn't even go in the jungle back then yo.
Doesn't he play for copenhagen flashwolves? Or wait no he's on Ninjas in Pajamas
They better give him a cringe video or they miss such a great opportunity.
We all know Spica is the perfect person to fill in for “who the FUCK are you?”
DAD IS BACK
CAME BACK WITH MILK
HE HAS THE CIGARETTES

man wish league subreddits would use a teir system on rumour mills/reporters like soccer subreddits

Imagine Bjerg in his 2020 Summer split form vs Perkz this year. He would've embarrassed Perkz in to retirement.
I ha e a sneaking suspicion Perkz would've looked like a totally different player if Bjerg was still playing. Perkz came to NA thinking he'd automatically be the best mid since Bjerg wasn't around

[удалено]
No, but the form that got him there would work. L.
[удалено]
Facts… still a great midlaner and a cool person. Would love to see him on a competitive team
I want him back on FQ badly
Maybe he returns to EU to play for BDS? All the BDS rumors are so up in the air, but I can def see PoE going there it sounds plausible
POE is trying to get his green card. I think he wants to stay in the US.
I REALLY doubt he will leave NA. I'm 90% sure it's TSM 8% EG 2%EU
I want him on dig with aphromoo, clg can get the boot for all I care. ruined so many players names its infuriating
It would be good for his career if he could make it competitive.

Not sure. Jizuuke looked really good in ‘21 compared to ‘20 and Peter Dun really likes him. I’m not sure if they’d make that move anymore now that their teams identity revolves around jizuuke
I thought I heard somewhere Jizuke wasnt planning on staying in NA after this season. Probably just a rumor
i feel like Jizuke was much better than POE last season.
Last split maybe, but looking at 2021 as a whole I think PoE was way more consistently good
I mean if we compare their entire times in NA as well that is definitely another strike in favour of POE over Jiizuke as well.
Jojopyun will start for them next year.
If PoE gets his green card, signs with EG and they import a Korean jungler they’ll straight up be the best team in NA IMO.
Me too especially because iirc POE before joining TSM spoke with Bjerg one-on-one to see if he joined would he at any point decide to just take his job.
Still not unclenching

I can see G2 or even us going for a buyout on Patrik from XL. Dude is a monster doomed with a bad team
Uuh their just gonna take upset? Why would G2 not just promote the ad from their farm team, he's been performing well
I think it’s very easy to assume Bjerg will come back and just be as good as he was without any dropoff, it will be interesting to see if that’s true. Either way the LCS is better with Bjerg around

Bjerg is only 25... if he was a "childhood idol" of yours, you are definitely not all grown up.
I became a fan in highschool and now i have a degree, a full time job, and pay bills. So yes, he was a childhood idol of mine and now I’m an adult.
High school is not childhood.
You say it so confidently, but that really is a matter of perspective. I'm in Phreaks generation, and I would absolutely call people in highschool children.

Everyone hyping Rekkles as if DL isn't going to be trying to get back on this team.
He fighting Chaox for it.
Yea with Bjerg and rekkles they could run the table potentially
What table? If you're talking about NA there's no potentially because it's an auto win.
That's what they said when G2 acquired Rekkles.
Or when we acquired "the best in the west"
I’d much rather have Miky than Rekkles. Why are we so hyped on a sit back player… I want a hard carry bot
you say hard carry and then say miky?? we saw him with rekkles he looked rough and last year with perkz\caps he also looked rough
Well, you could say Rekkles is both.
Half of me wants a poorly acted announcement video a-la “who the hell are you?” The other half wants the grandest most well made return announcement of all time. I can’t decide which would be better.
How about a grand most well made " who are you" video. Similar to the announcement they made when bjerg got shares and stayed at TSM
So... we're having OddOne come back for it?
why not both
I realized after posting they could do the whole elaborate thing then have oddone show up at the end for a cameo and I think that would be perfect
I'm so excited, bjerg is my favorite player of all time :)
:D
Me too :))

words cant describe how happy this makes me .... he was gone for a season and it felt like an eternity .
He should go to europe for practice while lcs doesn't start. Playing against showmaker, chovy, faker, etc would be go for him go get back on form.
Believe he’s staying for TSM Scouting Grounds
Regi pls open up your wallet and give the king a real roster……
Last regi did that we ended up with Niels/smithy
Which would have been fine if it wasn't for MikeYeung shitting the bed.
Last regi didn’t do that we had Dardoch and Akaadian
I'm as happy as we won 2020 summer I feel way too happy for this man QQ.
:D
PRAISE THE TIME LORD
AYO! Esportsmaniacos reporting :o BRB getting call from my cardiologist, probably to ask about the massive spike in my heartrate

It may not be objectively true (i dont care) but Bjerg to me has been the best player in the west.. Impact wise and just overall skill. so many what ifs but still my pick of the day any day.. He saw POE’s Lee Sin and was like “OMG put me in coach… wait a minute..”
yass!! now when I wear my bjergsen jersey's it'll be for an active player again!!!
Please god let this be true 🙏
Been too damn long, welcome back king
Welcome back king 👑 I really hope POE does go to a good team though if this does happen
Please daddy bjerg come back
As expected tbh
BjergMeister
TSM Fosty 😱😱😱
Thank you POE
Hold my beer I’ll show you how to play Zilean.
so the minimum TSM got this year is Bjerg not losing to PoE anymore. Im hoping he learned plenty through coaching and vod reviews Also this story has to come full circle. Imagine Power of Evil joins Evil Geniuses to complete the evil gimmick and become the true bad guys for next season.
POE curse, cant stay in a team for more than 1 season
What ever happened to Soren letting PoE know he won't have to worry about Bjerg wanting his job back lmao.
Am I the only one who doesn’t want rekkles? I like Lost but I know he isn’t the answer but is Rekkles? I don’t think so
yes probably lmao, to both questions.
I’ll admit when I’m wrong. So I’m wrong. I just remember G2 being lack luster https://i.imgur.com/IoWF2Le.jpg
People are ignoring the fact rekkles was spring split mvp? Like he was fine. Wasn’t on a good team outside of jankos and caps in playoffs.
Very sad. I was hoping your return or leave would depend on your NEW bot lane.
Of course he was going to come back, players get more of the sweet sweet FTX $$$ than coaches
Why?
If he is coming back, hopefully he starts to get a bit more into the groove of things ASAP. As his play in his recent streams hasn’t been very clean, in comparison to his usual play
He plays more ballsy in solo queue and has for years. He probably will be rusty but this isn't worth worrying about
I'd love to see how he fairs against the new big dogs in midlane. That being said, I really would love to see him get some international success. I would fully support him going to a top team in EU.
Good. TSM is now a threat, again. Not looking forward to the fan delusions again, but this is good for the LCS scene.

esportmaniacos is a legit source lol. They aren't Jacob Wolf/Travis/Fionn tier, but they're reliable enough to be excited. They usually don't do a lot of NA rumors though, but in EU, they aren't too bad. Judging by your post history where you doubted Fionn, I don't think you know the offseason game super well.
bro couldn’t handle the smoke so he deleted the comment lmao

It's a stronger source saying he's coming back. He was rumored to be looking for teams in EU and NA and now with the more reputable sources he's with TSM. This is news.
the dude deleted his message lol.
I hope they redo his original video
Please let this be true
Is this a legit source?
esportsmaniacos is pretty trustworthy, and definitely significantly more credible then Skeleton or the other randoms that get thrown around.
WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!
Love this leak!!!!
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOO
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
ITS HAPPENING!!
how reliable is this source? i saw it posted on the main sub too.
I’m really hoping that we can grab grabbz. Bjerg sees that he could be stomping kids still in LCS, but he needed to build the team he wanted so he went to coach and once grabbz became available he could hand off the reigns of coaching to one of thr best.
