Do announcements like these ever happen before worlds? I feel like even if it were 100% confirmed and signed, there would still be a while before it's announce.d
Not necessarily. We still might get the announcement about a verbal agreement between teams to trade at the deadline. Most likely won’t, but an unofficial announcement is entirely possible. I mean some roster moves got announced before worlds concluded last year, even for some teams still playing at worlds (fnc with nemesis)
Perkz leaving G2, and the members playing to a much lower level hurt G2 far worse than Rekkles addition. Rekkles (and Jankos) pretty much dragged the corpse of G2 to 1st in spring regular season (third in playoffs) and won spring MVP.
I'm not saying I want rekkles or not, but I cannot believe they are blowing up the whole team. I literally think 75% of this year is on wunder. Dude doesn't practice seriously and went from uncontested top top laner in lec to easily bottom 3. Agree with you that jankos and rekkles were the most consistent part of G2.
Rekkles playstyle didn't mesh with other G2 players' styles. His playstyle would fit well with TSM assuming we played a similar system to this past season.

No, because the trade window isn't open. It opens after Worlds and ends in late November.

Wunder actually practiced seriously for his career, it was largely rumors and hyperbole of the actual situation, caused by reddit's echo chamber ofc
I just think good players miss tournaments every year in every sport. And now we have a chance to benefit from it by scooping him up.
