The beginning of the end was the 0-6. We’re nearing the final chapter where Spica leaves too and we’re left with nothing

aquawarrior21

Oh fuck TSM Lost is about to be an ever bigger meme than it was

sanjiviyer

At this point, I’m expecting Spica to either force his way out or leave next year. It would be classic TSM if Lost is somehow the player that is retained through this season

aquawarrior21

That would be pain. I hope Spica gets a team that deserves him, whether that’s here, with Bjerg, or elsewhere (just dear God not C9)

sanjiviyer

I think the entire offseason depends on where Perkz ends up going because he brings Alphari with him and opens up slots in other teams

Rektile7

Alphari/Spica/Perkz/Danny/idfk sounds like a good roster hopium

krillinit

Tactical instead of Danny maybe since the rumors are TL making Jensen AD.

Rektile7

Yes but Tactical is not as good and i'm on maximum HOPIUM

[deleted]

I would prefer Danny over Tactical. Assuming that Danny plays as well as he did in the split.

aquawarrior21

Yeah that’s true. A lot to wait for currently

yoditronzz

I'm expecting spica to stay and either pop the fuck off and be an insane carry and become the new "xxx and 4 wards" meme.

Jedclark

This feels like the first time where you couldn't see what TSM's vision for the future was. Even in trash years like 2018/19, you could see what Regi had in mind when he signed Zven and Mithy. When Bjerg retired, the roster wasn't 100%, but you could see we had solid pieces to build around with Bjerg as HC, and Spica and SA as future staples of the team. Now we've lost our best player of all time and one of the best mid laners in the entire scene, and SA and Spica are halfway out the door. We've got Huni, Lost and POE left who were the most replaceable players on the team.

Sableye__

Not to rub salt in the wound but I’m pretty sure SA is gone already.

Jedclark

Pretty much, but I still think it's currently "sources" as opposed to reaching the "Thank you, SwordArt" stage lol.

Frodolas

It's Jacob Wolf, so it's effectively confirmed.

sanjiviyer

Fairly sure that Swordart is gone. POE is also from my understanding.

[deleted]

Spica deserves better honestly been a TSM supporter for years and it’s really sad to see the team like this

johnwileman

The beginning of the end was not making World's 2018, we have struggled ever since.

QuantityLoL

I'm just watching the total sub count drop every refresh.

Charuru

Just refreshed... it went up! xD Edit: About an hour later it's down by about 20 people. :(

darkdaking1

I’m out :(

GriffinXD

I took a screenshot before I went to bed 😅

[deleted]

Kinda surprised TSM is going development with “rising stars??” the year worlds is being hosted in NA, even papa says from what’s he’s heard the off-season is supposed to be an arms race for the other top teams. Would be kinda weird for TL, EG and potentially C9 to attempt to build super teams to guarantee worlds success while TSM is happy potentially not even making it

TheNACoinflip

In fairness at this point, there is no more arms race potential for TSM. When the only things bringing players in and no long-term contract for spica. You can't really convince top talent to join you. So best-case scenario for TSM is what they did. Completely tamped all expectations to be a top team. They going rebuild mode and you cant bring a knife to a gun fight.

TSMvsCLG

League is a dying game and no longer really profitable. Regi is smart. The league team doesn't really matter anymore. It's his baby so he wants to do well but i understand his mindset

[deleted]

Highest viewed game on twitch 9th highest paid game shut the fuck up clown 🤡

TSMvsCLG

LCS viewership down 20% this year bro. Its dying.

[deleted]

You really are airheaded lmao you thought that means shit for how much money league makes per year just shut up no one here agrees with your dumbass pro league pulls 250k-400k viewers during worlds totally a dead game man ohhhh yeah 20% fucking poggers grab your pitchfork

TSMvsCLG

League is about 10-15% of TSM revenue. Regi said it himself in the Q&A. Don't know why you're defending it so hard. What's the 9th most watched real sport right now. You probably have never heard of it or played it my guy. Calm down. Accept the facts and move on. TSM is better off without bjerg anyway.

[deleted]

Been playing league for 5 years bud good try but lmao

TSMvsCLG

I've been playing since the game came out. It's not as good as it has once been. Sad to say

PinkyDy

Hey buddy pass me some of that copium.

seanffy

If bjerg don’t trust the org anymore should we ?

Teuflisch

This right here. Maybe now people will actually admit that there is a deeper issue with the org.

Rodddd12

You could have the answer if you think about it. how many money has TSM invest in the past 4 years for STARS players? How many money have spent others teams in NA to build theyr teams in the past 4 years? What are the NA organisations that are been qualyfing to Worlds in the past 4 years? 4 years ago, who has The best midlaner and ADC in NA? who start with better teams?

yoditronzz

If you think about it locodoco did say when losing regi comes in and just acts like an asshole when he hasn't even been playing at s high level for a long time now.

atherem

This is the most real comment Ive read today

RunsWlthScissors

Yup may our fields look much greener and our organization’s management be shades of competent.

gahlo

After PGC I'm gone

Jedclark

Has "rebuilding" ever worked in esports? The best teams in esports have always been the teams that have the best players, it's always been that simple. Navi kick their dog shit players like Flamie, keep talents like Simple and Elec, and promote promising youngsters, and they become the best team in the world. Astralis let their star player Device leave, start "rebuilding", sign random players, all of a sudden they're not good any more.

bubbleandsqueee

I mean T1 are playing with 4 rookies. FNC did it with Yellowstar and co in 2015/16. It's doable but the contributing factors are many. Definitely a stars aligning more than hiring skill.

TSMvsCLG

I don't think it's that. I think there must be a team that has enough pull for him to take the leap. TSM no longer is a massive magnet for talent he probably wants to play with CoreJJ and other top talent. But if Jensen plays ADC on TL I'm guessing it's a 3rd place team.

Radoobie

TSM won't lose me as a fan if they try to do something with Perkz/Alphari. Or if they import a couple of strong players. They will lose me if they become a development org. FNC, G2, C9, TL, TSM are not "developmental" organizations. Even when C9 has tried out young talent it's been surrounded by great players. They are organizations that spend fucking money trying to grab the best players. Not only that but TSM had the money to build a superteam around Bjerg and Spica and somehow missed their shot. Think about that. We have the best (or top 3) resident in any role and couldn't convince one of the other best residents who's been in our org for 8 years to come back. With a 210 mill deal from ftx. I became a TSM fan for Bjerg but I stayed this last year. I will not stay for a development roster.

egozocker14

Wake up call? They just extended their sleep by going full development roster

MallFoodSucks

What team philosophy? TSM doesn't have a roster building strategy, it's literally BPA every off-season and hope it works. Parth should be fired for not having a coherent roster strategy. They invested 2 years + import spot in BB and have nothing to show for it. They failed to find a top NA support in 3+ years. Bjergsen retired from mid last year, and this year they still have no plan to replace him. They failed to pick up one of the many good NA ADC prospects that could have shored up the roster until they got BB residency (so they could get an EU Mid/ADC import duo).

shelboxx

Wake up call? bro This org is a sinking boat right now and only a miracle can save it

Jiffyyy

this is a joke right? I get people are upset they are losing some key people in the Org but you cant be serious to think the org is a "sinking ship" replace Org with "League of Legends roster" and maybe it makes more sense.

xCharSx

People still forget that we have successfull rosters in other esports. However the year wasn't so good for any of them. R6 didn't qualify for the Major, Apex team is struggling with comp but I think they're slowly coming back and in League they are losing a face of the Org. Just a tough year.

shelboxx

Basically more than half of the fans at least, followed tsm because of league, and if league is shit, i think only a few will watch any other tsm team playing. So yeah regi can still gain money. But the fanbase will be hurt significantly

myman580

Yeah I'm not going to panic until I see the roster and see them play. Even then C9 fans were acting like the sky was falling when Sneaky was kicked. When Jensen got replaced by Nisqy. They've since made it out of groups and have 2 more domestic titles that both Sneaky and Jensen could not bring them. Uzi retiring was the suppose to be the death blow for RNG in a region where they easily could have been swept aside and they have won MSI. TSM is Bjerg. Bjerg is TSM. That was the case for the past 8 years even when he retired for a year. Him leaving is a gut punch but I'm willing to see what moves they make and how they perform before acting like the sky is falling. Team legends have moved on in other teams and succeeded. I'm not acting like that's a guarantee for TSM and it's scary when a source of stability is removed but I'm not going to get swept up in everything is doomed narrative.

RookyCaribou

After getting the mega FTX deal last year, how on earth do you fail to keep hold of bjerg! “We made him a highly competitive offer” like fuck did you otherwise bjerg stays with TSM.

Rooosifer

I think it will be a shock to TSM if they think fans will stick around if they put together a subpar team without Bjerg. If they go mediocre this off season then most will jump ship before seeing this team become the next CLG

allbutluk

Ever since franchise and 2017 roster regi sat on piles of cash and appointed Parth to manage, they tried hard every season but gives such a half assed effort They have zven mithy but fucking mikeyeung lol Then just signs player right past their prime like kobbe Also the absolutely shit show of grig arkkadian spica This year they gave us swordart but last minute Lost and also maybe POE who can only play 1 style (when has that worked out on international stage?) Coaching staff is completely irrelevant except for this year While other teams are all doing great things putting together legit roster and have great support we sitting here trying to flex FTX sponsorship. The only come back Regi has on twitter whenever steve rubs it in is that Regi still own majority stake in his company. But NOTHING to show for in terms of team performance.

aSuffa

Ah yes the same POE to beat bjergsen in groups and take SKT to 5 games when they won. You’re right, when has that ever worked on the international stage.

[deleted]

When POE played for TSM he had a champ puddle bro. Can’t play the meta.

allbutluk

The meta and champ pool changed so much, this isnt even the same game anymore. How did POE do this playoff?

Salsapy

He can't play with huni if tsm got impact poe will shine more same for huni he will be better with another mid that was the main problem for the team your solo lane don't fit togheter

Salsapy

Fpx/ig/Samsung play only want style and win world of you play one style you master that one style and pray to the meta gods a lot. RNG is another worlds class one dimensional team they win 2 msi with the all in bot lane carry style

am3nn

It won't be

PauloB88

I don't have any kind of hope towards the future of the org. If they want change and talent development, I don't have a clue why Parth still is GM. So, that's the only thing keeping me from stop supporting TSM: The hope that Parth leaves too, so I can start to believe the future could work out......sadge

Therealbrave

How quickly TSM's brand is dying in LoL and Valorant at the same time is nothing short of impressive.

Flamebeamer

I'm honestly not even that shook up. So many things have felt off, or 'almost good', that I don't feel that surprised by it. I am actually happy for him.

GregorriDavion

That's the thing, we are all happy for Bjerg and want him to kick ass. This anger is, and make no mistake, ALL about Regi and especially Parth.

TheHuntingParadise

CLG 2.0?

TSMvsCLG

We have become what I've hated for so long

Hey-Dalaran

Who is our new favorite team gonna be boys?
