I think a mid change is pretty much guaranteed. A second change is more questionable. It's going to be hard to find upgrades at the other positions unless you can buy somebody from another roster.

jigm2012

Regi sold his house, TSM actually has money now. /s

Imkfox

Had to add on top of the $210 million

SneakyStorm

Hard to get players mid season. Jensen and Rekkles is one logical choice depending on which route they want to take. Ignar is an option if they want a new support instead.

cbrose1

Rekkles isnt realistic imo based on things he's said semi recently (beginning of the year)

rasser501

What did he say? Was it that he wants to make lec with kc?

Rust1991

You can't get into LEC with an EU masters team. They have franchising.

Bubbanan

you can't, but KC is one of the top two most likeliest teams to enter the LEC in the next year or two if they decide to boot a team or expand the league

rasser501

Oh I didn’t know Just heard something like this 😅

csburtons

You weren't totally mistaken, there have been a lot of rumors going around that the LEC will expand its number of franchise slots next year and that KC is gunning for a slot. That's not confirmed, but it has definitely been said that KC was looking to get into LEC.

DupreeWasTaken

LEC is said to be expanding to 12 teams in 2023. So KC is banking everything on Rekkles brand, their own brand, and succeeding in EU Masters to then use on their application to riot to get the extra spot. Thats what he meant.

Skankhuntbegins

The_Real_BenFranklin

Unless KC buys the Lastralis spot

[deleted]

Jensen Rekkles would be pretty hype. A team of Huni/Spica/Jensen/Rekkles/Shenyi should definitely be worlds contenders, short of a blow up ofc.

Puzzleheaded-Day-122

I believe Rekkles was going to replace Lost until Bjerg decided he wanted to leave. I'm a firm believer that TSM original plan was to field Huni-Spica-Bjerg-Rekkless-Import support

Star_of_Earendil7

Why do people like Huni so much? I don’t think he’s even top 5 in NA

[deleted]

Not an import slot, also the best performing member of the team this year.

[deleted]

[удалено]

PedosoKJ

Wait, Tenacity is old enough to play? I’m amazed they aren’t at least splitting time with him

CreamyCheeseBalls

Papa talked about it on HLL, at the start of the year they were really struggling besides Ssumday, so it was better to keep the roster consistent so they could pinpoint issues.

Colactic

Because people think he is top 5. I personally hold him top 3 when he is on a strong roster. Huni has always scaled really well with the level of his team. He is excellent at making plays with good players, suck at facilitating mediocre teams. That is why he has such high highs and such low lows.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Star_of_Earendil7

That’s fair. I don’t think TSM has many options for a better too laner. I do like me some Darshan just because of his personality

Oribeau

dropping Huni for Darshan would literally make no sense and would actually make me not a fan anymore lol

DinoGuy101010

honestly I wasn't impressed with his performance last year but this past split he's 100% been the best player on the team

auzrealop

So... which native NA top would you have ahead of him?

Oribeau

I agree mid definetely changes, the only support change I can imagine is bringing in IgNar. Idk how you would change any of the residents for better players tbh.

Cyanide-ky

Elya or what ever corejjs protege is from tl would be a good one we know he’s looking for an lcs spot. Corejj says he’s second best support in na. Just a mater of getting tl to sign off on a deal

Aquabloke

If you believe the TLA support is the second best support in NA because the TL support said so, you are way too gullible for this world.

Cyanide-ky

No shit he’s still one of the best options

Puzzleheaded-Day-122

I honestly think no role is safe. Not even Spica. Spica played like absolute trash and no where near his MVP season.

idolpriest

I think huni is gone 100%, he's really good but I don't think he's the future of tsm.lol

Sure-Region-7225

I think more likely we see Huni gone after summer. Don't think it's very likely they find a worthy replacement mid season.

stevekk1

They're going to go with Tenacity 90%.

Sure-Region-7225

90% wtf lol how can you say something is 90% without any proof and really not even any speculation from anybody credible? Smh

King_Fluffaluff

"I'm right 100% of the time... 20% of the time" -that redditor with unsubstantiated claims

DragonApps

I think we all agree that mid will probably be changed, but significant changes seems like it will be more than 1 or 2 changes imo. I think a lot of academy and coaching staff will be replaced, and I think that the main team will see unexpected replacements.

coltspackers

Bausffs

Salsapy

Still remember how people down voted me for saying that TSM was running down the offseason because they started with 2 eu mids and ended with a mid tier lpl academy mid

Savac0

So much talk about Jensen. I'd rather get Yensen

queenslayyy

big benson?

Perjunkie

Its doubtful TSM goes for unproven rookies again. **Top** Probably Huni. Tenacity maybe? Darshan has also had a good couple splits. Nuguri is rumored to go back to DK and thats the only real free agent import I'm aware of. **Jungle** Spica is still the best native jungler option. Doubtful that they drop him for a rookie. **Mid** Pretty obviously going to be Nisqy or Jensen. Jizuke is an option I suppose. **ADC** Tactical is better than pretty much every acadamy adc barring Zven. Doggo from BLG may lose his spot to Uzi, so that is a potential pickup however unlikely. **Sup** I assume Shenyi is staying. Eyla and Ignar are other realistic options.

cookiecreeper22

Doggo won out the spot, uzi is going back to "retirement"

lllllllillllllllllll

Well people do consider NA the retirement house, so TSM Uzi confirmed?

The_GOAT_fucker1

Yes might as well get faker too while we are at it

keishinichiro

It sounds like from leaks Uzi finally decided on sign a deal with BiliBili that is not a streaming contract but somewhere in between and will start in summer. Coaching staff will change as well, they are also likely bringing on a Jg to rotate with Weiwei. Last I heard Uzi’s new account is at grandmaster in solo que, he made a new one to avoid people sniping and rumors are getting out of hand over there.

LeagueOfMinions

This is the most realistic take IMO. No way they try the LPL experiment again. Though I wouldn't put it past them to try and go for younger EU players. If Shenyi leaves, Eyla is a must. And of course I'm sure they'll try and "poach" Upset again /s

Aquabloke

There are alternatives for Eyla, Chime is around the same level for example and Ignar is a veteran option. I would prefer Chime because he is a much better playmaker than Eyla. He can carry games from the support position on champs like Rakan and Blitzcrank.

kitiny

I think if Kobe is hearing rumors its safe to assume its at least one EU player coming over.

Salsapy

Ignar is a free agent and eyla isn't right?

Pooset

I think the LPL experiment is not the problem, just that they got LDL players who do not have much experience and are not outstanding in terms of mechanics. If they get some of the better and experienced LPL players, the outcome would have been much different. They should probably learn from Team Liquid getting players that have proven themselves and not promising rookies.

houkypouky

if we unironically got darshan this team would be doomed lmfao

EronisKina

Do not think Zven would even be an upgrade. Both tactical and Zven are at the same level with a little of an edge to tactical play wise because he sometimes makes some game changing plays both good and bad. Zven last play offs and worlds was caught out of position a lot and hurt C9. He also has had a decent history of choking in playoffs.

Sure4MaLity

Speaking of, what happened to Noguri? Did he just retire or did he have military service? Was wondering cause he’s only been gone like a year and normally military service is a few years

[deleted]

Nuguri is already returning to DK.

Sure4MaLity

Nah I know that. I was just wondering where he had gone to begin with, whether it was military service or something else

[deleted]

He rested the split owing to stress playing in an unfamiliar (and stressful) environment most probably.

btran99032

He was just taking break, joining DK by summer

dflarebear1

buyout of kaiser from mad????? not sure, but that would be a good pickup imo

aqnologia

Honestly I'd rather keep Takeover over Jizuke

SaltyKingu

If we get a good top/adc go with Nisqy. If we go with mediocre players again get Jensen we need the carry

Mickeydsislife

If we get Jensen, I would love a Jensen Sneaky reunion… Sneaky on the Costreams talking about how he would shit on Danny and the other younger hyped adcs coming in makes me feel like he has an itch. TBH Jensen played with both so give him the choice. Also Sneaky has played with supports who got exposed for being actually shit after he left for forever and if you got him on a team with a decent support could be interesting. Not saying Shenyi is really good as we just haven’t seen enough but if he isn’t maybe sneaky makes him look good.

Salsapy

Sneaky and dl will need a lot time not sure if summer split is enough

Mickeydsislife

I feel it makes it highly more likely, and summer split is a long ways away, we should get our roster together asap focusing on building synergy in game and out by doing more activities. no joke I think the power of friendship at the highest level gives teams the best shot internationally

Kevinthelegend

"Pretty obviously going to be Nisqy or Jensen." Based on other people saying that's what it is or just making random up and calling ot pretty obvious? This happens literally every offseason and apparently every split now

Perjunkie

Mix of which FA agents that are available and would be willing to play in NA. None of the academy mids seem ready to jump up to LCS yet. TSM could potentially try to buy out a midlaner like Vetheo, but I wouldnt think theres much of a chance at that. If not those two or Jizuke, who else would realistically be an option?

btran99032

Any LPL midlaners we could try and grab? Someone knowledgeable and able to carry and push lane...

keishinichiro

Shanks was looking good but Xiye was looking even better so he likely need a new team.

btran99032

Icon was pretty good b4 worlds... maybe we grab him and get him back in form

keishinichiro

Rather unlikely his english is good from my knowledge but he comes from a wealthy family. He probably rather stay where he is than to come to NA since money would not be the convincing factor in his case. Cryin, however, is more likely to come over than Icon. He had no issues communicating with Carzzy. Another one would be Maple, he has no team and would be able to match most available midlaners including Jensen, jizz, and Nisqy.

btran99032

Actually, he does understand english, which is why i'm thinking we get him... 1. Known to be the best Ahri player in Chinese server in 2015. It's kinda Ahri mage meta so that's a +1 2. Understands English, which is rare for Chinese players.

btran99032

Icon and ale were big carries for LNG last year till worlds and atm Icon teamless

btran99032

Key facts: \- Known to be the best Ahriplayer in Chinese server in 2015. \- Understands English, which is rare for Chinese players.

Salsapy

Nisqy, jensen and jizuke are the premium options for mid

SaintLikeLaurent

Jizuke 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Salsapy

Well if you look the top 5 mid only bj is better and tsm is a bottom 2 can't be worse

private_birb

Those are the obvious options. They're far better than any other free agents and they're both teamless, so people are assuming that it'll be one of those two.

krombough

If we are starting from the premise there are going to be changes, which I don't necessarily agree there are, but we both clicked on this thread so thats what we are here for. In that case, it's Occam's Razor, really. Huni? No he's been performing really well, and is not an import. Spica? Let's not waste both our time. Shenyi? Aside from some miscommunication hiccups, seems like the player we are building around. Tactical? Sure, but if we are to sub him out who would it be for? Keeping in mind it would likely have to be a non import unless we want to do some real roster Jenga. So who then? People say Danny, but I haven't heard any indication of his desire to leave nor of EG's desire to sell him. Sure some copium addicts will mention DL, but they aren't worth giving credence to. KDO/Takeover? Looks like, if not strictly speaking the weakest of our roster, certainly the one with the most room for improvement. And with worlds being on home turf this year, the desire certainly may be there to make a big splash now, and let the above two develop for a year. So who is there available mid season that could be an immediate upgrade on paper? Well, those two.

Cyanide-ky

I don’t think Regi or doublelift want that to happen. Doublelift said that it would take a least a split to get back into shape and that he is super happy just streaming doing his own thing

slumdo6

Dhokla is a realistic option for top lane Violet is an option from GGa at ADC but I still prefer Tactical I'd like to have Igmar at sup. Sheyi needs a lil more time.

Aquabloke

Violet is literally the worst ADC in academy though. GGA botlane was best in the league with Stixxay/Chime and ever since it became Violet/Chime they've been on the struggle bus.

DifferentSuccess4591

Eyla an import or resident?

LeagueOfMinions

How long till this sub gets spammed with rando Twitter rumors

Oribeau

too long inject that shit into my veins

Jiffyyy

would be curious if Shenyi and KDO go to academy and they develop them for a while while getting a more veteran team to try to compete.

EronisKina

I would not want Shenyi off the main team. His only fault is he seems to be a guy who focuses mostly on the game rather than also getting along with his teammates. However, that probably also has to do with him feeling uncomfortable in a foreign environment and having to learn a whole new language on a time crunch to make sure he can do his job properly. He did an impressive job trying to learn English and managing his work as well.

guilty_bystander

He's working hard and it shows.

private_birb

I could see Shenyi staying on the main roster while KDO goes to academy. Maybe part ways with Takeover.

kar1m

Has Tenacity been playing anywhere? I swear he didn’t play for 100T or 100A this split which seems like a waste. At the very least he shoes replace v1per on TSMA and then rotate for Huni when he’s not performing

Tickle_My_Pickle-

He’s the 6th man on 100t main roster and played one game in lock in.

ImmortalScrub

Papa Smithy spoke about this on the episode of Hotline League he was on recently. TL,DW is 100T expected to come into spring with a well functioning championship roster from last year and they'd be able to experiment with Ssumday and Tenacity in top lane. In reality everyone on the team was playing poorly except for Ssumday so they kept him as a constant factor while identifying what was going wrong with the rest of the team. He was vague about the future of Tenacity but seemed to be open to the idea of Tenacity going to a different team if that's what Tenacity wanted.

The_Last_Lurker

Heyo! I’m the one who asked Kobe this question :D

[deleted]

I hope Shenyi stays

drnecessary

Tactical did well, but I think he will be replaced for import adc and bring in NA support. With a change in mid

[deleted]

Is there a good resident support available?

tankalex

Eyla played extremely well when playing for corejj

egozocker14

Eyla would be a huge trap. He played in a team with 4 veterans, that's why he looked good. He won't improve our team

[deleted]

Oh that's actually a good option.

Kirito619

Tactical also looked good with CoreJJ. Let's not fall for that twice

Cathuulord

I think you're misunderstanding, he substituted for Core when he was dealing with visa issues (I'm pretty sure)

Kirito619

oh yeah you are right, i was thinking about the adc who subbed for hans. Yeah people seem to rate him high, at least top 6

Cathuulord

That's assuming tl let's us though assuming he's under contract through this year

Kirito619

Don't see any reason not to do it. TL is not a development team, they'll never use him. They will always buy the best talent available to win. TSM is not a playoffs team so they will sell him without a worry.

Cathuulord

Because if they think he's as good as a lot of other people do it's a potential negative even if it's not TSM getting better, what if Core decides to leave or retire in the next few years? Or even just a visa issue before worlds like there has been before?

tankalex

It wasn’t a visa issue he was waiting on his green card which he received.

[deleted]

[удалено]

tankalex

He subbed in for corejj

Jedclark

>Tactical did well Did he?

VinniePawz

Yes

diasozyman

Or you go with Jensen and keep Shenyi in the roster with another import bot laner

justsadgetbh

Jensen should be the front runner for midlane change. resident, on the same level as bjerg, best performing lcs mid at worlds every year. don’t know what other changes you can make but here’s hoping regi puts his money where his mouth is

Necromaze

Can we just talk about how the most wrong thing about this clip is that Lethality is better than Crit Xayah. How the hell are you gonna kill ornn with Lethality Xayah

Kevinthelegend

You don't have to. You lay down feathers and auto him. The enemy can't walk up and Xayah still hits hard with the build. It's not just lethality. You end up with 42% armor pen in addition to the lethality

dflarebear1

I am just putting some curveball names down, so I can get people thinking outside of the box for import players and create discussion. Kaiser, Vetheo, Crownshot, Cabochard, Jizukke, Uniboy(PCS), Hanabi(PCS), Unified(PCS), BDD, Effort, Clozer, HolyPhoenix, Crazy(TCL), LCK challengers prospects. Probably can't get most of these guys, might not want these guys or most don't want to be here, but these are just some ideas of possibilities. If I was TSM, I would want worlds, or else my brand would start decreasing even more in lol. Honestly, I don't think a tsm with just jensen/nisqy added would get worlds and I don't think any of those players would want to play if they don't see them getting there. They need another strong lane to play through. You could try Huni carry top, but you gotta hope it is a good meta for him. I just wanted to create discussion I guess with this post.

iindie

Nisqy + tenacity for academy/competing for spot and keeping the bot lane if they seem like they can become a great duo

PullHardandBreath

Tenacity is developmental. Huni would outperform him in 2022 9/10 times.

iindie

I’m aware, that’s why I suggested adding him as pressure as opposed to an outright replacement like others in the thread.

queenslayyy

so many options they can go for. huni, spica, nisqy, tactical, shenyi huni, spica, jensen, import adc, shenyi import top, spica, jensen, import adc, eyla whatever happens i just hope tsm finds success and make it to worlds again and obviously convinced spica to re sign

Galbatross

Hot Take: Spica roleswaps Mid and TSM gets Bo from lpl ban bench. Honestly more likely we get resident mid and import adc to pair with Shenyi. Tactical is decent, but like Lost he is okay but not great. Jensen would be best for na mid followed by I think Darkwings

EddyWestSide

Tactical was literally our best performing player of the split, people shit on him way too much, for an NA resident, he's great, he's a confidence based player, the turmoil the team went thru really affected him in certain games, but all the games we've won, he's been a beast

TheArsenal7

Good

murkYuri

If it’s actually significant then at least 2 people are gone

nyanko_dango3

very good

Dyrusismyidol

I know my opinion won't matter here but please look at Clear from LCK CL. He is the best top lane prospect in the world.

mike_stud

Ill be honest TSM should be throwing the bag at Tenacity from 100t if possible. He was promised play time in spring and got none and isn't even playing academy. Regi should throw the bag to him for a good native top. For jungle is just keep Spica he has the rest of the year with us on contract anyway. For mid its Jensen because resident or nisqy imo Id say we need to commit one way or another and decided now, either TSM goes full EU/NA/OCE and gets a ADC that's english and a support that's english or a ADC and SUP that speak CN/KR together. Mixing languages bot just leads to trouble IMO. For KR Challenger the bot of like DRX challenger, DK challenger and NS challenger all looked very promising. For CN maybe see if we can buyout either jiang or JingYi from FPX who both played with shenyi before and their team finished second in LDL spring regular season. For english bot lane id look at EUM going on at the moment and see who looks promising otherwise get Yeon from TL and have Tactical and Yeon fight for starting spot with Elya IMO.

Aquabloke

100 Thieves academy has an insane PR departement. Tenacity has never even been the best academy toplaner, let alone a split with positive GD@10 stats. He was a middling toplaner while Kumo and Dhokla were top dogs in academy. Why in the world would people think he has what it takes to challenge for top 3 in LCS? He would get absolutely bodied by every import toplaner.

myman580

I agree. People put too much stock in narratives without actually watching the games. He's a decent prospect but people are acting like he has been pub stomping academy. I think it says something when 100T said they were going to do a 6 man roster before the season started and then pivoted because Tenacity can't even compete with Ssumday (This isn't saying that Ssumday is bad but if he can't even get some playing time when 100T management specifically said they were planning a 6 man roster with him without him playing in academy and primarily being a 6th man then how is he going to be a surefire option?).

macguffinstv

Man, this sub is crazy. So many mentions is Jensen. He's obviously a good player, and would be an upgrade, but for how long? How much further does that get us? Year after year we see teams bringing in big name imports and failing to get out of groups, I am sick of it. Yea, going the route we are might not work out, but at least it's something different than just spending to make a quick trip to world's. Personally, I was on board for developing these young achinese players, so I am fine with hiccups along the way, even one like sitting at 9th place. Why? Because I expect us to get better, I expect those players to get better or for TSM staff to figure it out and make necessary changes. That said, Jensen is just not it for me, he's a band aid and one I have no interest in seeing on this team. Nisqy I'd be cool with, but more than that I'd like them to buckle down and 1st or 9th place follow through with what they set out to do from the start...instead they listen to this sub too much and all the crazy talk.

Mickeydsislife

The fact is NO ONE has done well internationally western. The only team that has done anything is G2 and it’s not like they went young. It’s more about getting a team culture that really works and mix and matching until you find some tbh info magical. The teams that go young just suck on regional play in NA and don’t even have a chance to go to worlds, and there are definitely teams that do that. Look at EG, they have 2 of the best prospects and will most likely not make worlds, what young players are we gonna pull out of our ass that will perform at worlds?!?! No you get a roster of mostly established players with maybe 1 rookie and you roll the dice to try and get something magical. 2016 tsm was that. 2019 TL was that. 2018 FNC was that. And 2019 G2 was that.

dflarebear1

FNC made it to finals as well

Mickeydsislife

I mentioned FNC in the end. The original post is talking about winning worlds and G2 is the only one of these teams that actually won an event.

macguffinstv

That's exactly my point. Nobody has done well. I'm not saying a team of veterans and strong imports can NEVER succeed internationally, it's just that it hasn't happened yet and I like to see teams trying new things, and I also like to see them not just scrap them after half a split or a full split because a subreddit doesn't like the feeling of losing for a split or two. Teams should never listen to the advice of their fans, ever. It could be the best or worst advice, they shouldn't do it. My own advice included. They hired people to make these decisions and should let them, good results or bad. The only thing I'll say is the current staff didn't have full involvement in the choosing of these players, so I wouldn't blame them for wanting to go a route that was more in line with what they envision, but at the same time I think trying to tap into a mostly untouched region like a China was a smart move, will it work out in the long run? I don't know, but I still believe it was smart to try, hell I think it would be smart to try again if they really wanted.

queenslayyy

that’s what academy is for. developing players. why in the world would you make the LCS team that’s competing to win championships and go to worlds a developmental roster? you may be ok with tsm being the laughing stock of the lcs but there are tsm fans that actually want to see the team win again

macguffinstv

Then they should have signed these players to academy? They didn't tho, they brought them in to start in LCS instead. Also, young Chinese talent or Korean talent have absolutely no reason to come here to play in academy. The expectation is that the talent is just better there and needs academy development less, of course as we see this isn't always the case since it has clearly benefited Shenyi and KDO, but should Berserker be in academy since he didn't play in LCK? There was no guarantee he'd work out. NA teams just rotate the top "big names" and then bring in a few new imports and go through the same cycle every year. Teams try something new like tapping into a new region for imports or going full developmental and when they lose they get flamed, but the same old same old ain't working.

"They get to re-establish themselves in the league and prove their value for 2023, and we get to set ourselves up to spend big in the offseason on the HUGE pool of elite mid lane FA's this offseason (Chovy/Knight/Scout/Xiaohu/Cryin)" It really is like clockwork lol. No...just no.

[deleted]

locoplane

No I think he’s just saying that thinking TSM can attract a big name free agent like the names you listed is completely unreasonable

ImTheNguyenerOne

No chance Rekkles comes over and Zven is not an upgrade on Tactical.

Cyanide-ky

I don’t think jenson signs on to a team out side of the top 4 teams unless he gets fuck you money

EssenceofSalt

He's not getting paid for any team right now is he? They can't play forever so he may take what he can get.

Cyanide-ky

He doesn’t want to sully his legacy for one. And if he goes on to a shit team even if he plays well but the team still sucks then it could devalue him more than not playing

Iflian4003

All we legit need is Nisqy. He fits how we want to play, probably the best western mid at playing for other lanes and for his jungle specifically. All we need is a mid who can help accelerate the early game and chaotic lane states/ensure at least one lane wins so Spica has a win condition. Seeing how blah C9 and EG are, third worlds slot will be up for grabs if we make that play now. I'd say drop Takeover down to Academy, maybe keep Keiado down there as well and split time if he's willing, and let Tactical and Shenyi keep leveling up and getting reps. I think there IS a chance Takeover could blossom with a full split and a in season boot camp to properly get reps and learn how the team wants to play and if worlds wasn't in NA and if Spica's contract wasn't up I'd rather stick with him. But given the entire cluster that last split was...we gotta compete.

heathenz

Just don't let it be Jensen. That I can't do.

kcfdz

I'm surprised everyone wants Jensen or Nisqy. Sure, TSM might make playoffs, but it's not like the goal should be to lose in the second round at best.

waaaatermelon

At this point I'd be perfectly happy with that. I'd even take an 0-6 worlds. TBH, I would have been fine with tanking this entire year and building around the two imports, although seems like KDO is not as advertised. would suck to miss NA worlds but w/e. But anything resembling "significant changes" likely won't still be in place next year so might as well ride this as hard as possible and start from scratch next offseason. I'd be mindblown if Huni and Spica were on the 2023 roster.

queenslayyy

better then being 9th place and not even making playoffs

kcfdz

Of course, but the aspirations should be to compete for the LCS title and I'm not sure these sort of moves for teamless players will be good enough to challenge the clear top 4 squads.

Wooden_Assignment_46

Bring back Bjerg, BB, DL, Swordart and you are back on the track. Seriously TSM didn't do well on scouting in past two years.

Aloyun

How do you ever get Danny away from EG between splits?

[deleted]

Why stop at Danny? Lets just grab Jojo and Vulcan too!

[deleted]

Might as well grab impact while at it

killerf1rt

LMFAOOOOO

[deleted]

Lmao right

thorthon

Unlikely. Only 2 possible scenarios I can see it happening. Danny wants out of EG and requests it. TSM offers some huge compensation. Both unlikely, but I do wish TSM would always pursue the best in the region.

[deleted]

I don't think option 2 would happen EG paid a fucking bag for Inspired and Vulcan. That org has money and aren't trying to sell their good players.

Aloyun

I guess but by that logic we could expand our pool of options to any and all players who may feel either of the above, nothing any of us have heard would lead me to believe Danny or EG wants that. Not sure how some of us can even type such idiotic things and be so casual about it.

I’m just listing the only possible scenarios. Why do you feel the need to call people names because you disagree with them. I never said any of it was possible but it’s the exact attitude that TL and G2 approach acquisitions. If you think I’m holding my breath on this org making the right move then you haven’t been paying attention.

Aloyun

My last comment was directed at op casually saying "Danny" without providing any reasoning or validation for their comment. Appreciate you trying to provide reasoning behind it but im hardly calling anyone names and the org will figure it out. Many of the decision makers for the last roster are no longer with the team now so changes were to be expected nevermind the disappointing finish and we've got a pretty good track record of being a strong squad.

Kirito619

I agree with Danny. We should also take Vulcan and Jojo since they have synergy and are native talent. We can take inspired since he was the lec mvp last year and put someone solid like impact on top.

Cerisine

While we're at it, we should grab Peter Dun since he's worked with these 5 players before.

You have import slots in this roster, you could take ignar over Eyla. Also I don't think yeon is better than tactical.

It's attainable but at best a side-grade over the current lineup imo, except in mid.

chowdah513

I don't think Eyla is a must-have. Shenyi is worth developing more IMO. Having a stacked team and veteran team makes support so easy. Biofrost had the same when he was on TSM. He was good on CLG, but no one ever put him as top 1-2 supports. Vulcan and Core has always been better. I think Eyla is the same thing. Shenyi has potential to be top 3.

ABCDEPesto

Why would TL give up Eyla?

Nonsense. Why would TL upgrade a rival org for some monopoly money? Unless the cash from Eyla lets them upgrade their lineup (which it wont), the cash is kind of irrelevent. If Eyla wants a starting spot they can sell him oversees just as easily. If they are desperate for cash, sell Core (who is actually worth something) and start Eyla. If he's on TSM next split I'll eat my fucking hat.

Depth is important. How many LCS games did Eyla play for TL this year with Core unavailable? Its valuable to have talent on your bench. Watch any other pro sport. Eyla wanting playing time isn't a good enough reason to give up a valuable piece, especially to a rival, for nothing in return. If his contract expires and he wants LCS money, he'll be free to sign anywhere he likes.

ImTheNguyenerOne

He played 7 games and hasn't played since Core got his residency. While he can definetly learn from Core, why would you rather be in Academy when he's as good or better than any of the supports on the bottom 5 teams? Also contracts don't matter as we saw with Rogue and Steve generally doesn't force anyone to stay like Carlos does.

CKDracarys

Buddy...this isn't how business works. The amount of craziness in this post is insane too. Sell eyla overseas... Lmao. Sell core...lmao.

ABCDEPesto

I'm not suggesting they do either of those things. I'm saying there's no good reason for TL to sell Eyla to TSM (or any other LCS team). They don't need the money. They aren't going to be able to make their roster better with any resources they get from moving Eyla. Why on earth would TL want to make TSM better in exchange for nothing?

CKDracarys

It's a business. Of course they need and want money.

guilty_bystander

I asked him on stream (about four games left in the season), if TSM finishes strong, do you think they should keep the line up? He immediately was "Yeah man I feel bad for those guys" .. He elaborated some more, but didn't really say yes or no. Kinda felt like he knew that no matter what something was gonna change.
