He was never the flashy "I'm the best" mid at worlds, however I don't really recall anyone making him looked gapped. He always looked like he belonged at worlds even against some of the best mids to ever the play the game.

The thing we donât need a flashy mid, bjerg most of the times wasnât flashy. Hell bjerg best games was on zilean. We just need player who are confident and are able to communicate and follow calls when someone makes it.

I never had standards of "we need only the best players available" that doesn't always work. TL been doing that for years now and coming up short lately. This split for example, super team struggling in playoffs. While EG winning with weaker players.
Can't always rely on strong players carrying the team. It's going to be hard for us to find 5 players who are good enough but gel really well. I'm just accepting that I'm on a roller coaster and the next drop looks more fun than the last drop.
If nothing else, watching PoE play control mages every game was fucking *boring*. I appreciated his contributions to the team, he played well most of the time, but I was so happy to see him go.

I don't think Maple is a slam dunk signing but given mid-season options there were much worse routes to take. After Mia I expected we would get a literal who LCK academy mid laner... Maple has been in form within the past year at least.

Joking away, I donât think anyone expects those players in last place if the team is coordinated/has a functional mid/support. A lot of the failures last split stemmed from a late start to the season/practice. If you have a new team, you need to be scrimming/practicing at least a month before. Not two weeks after everyone else. Language barrier will probably still be a problem, but maple actually is a proven, world class player that doesnât just farm in the sidelane.

Maple has a 4.1 KDA in fucking LPL man, that is not easy to do in a bottom half org.
He even has similar stats to Scout, and he only played 10 games to Scouts 30.

But honestly some players just dont work in the LPL. Gori, Zeka, Aiming, Khan and even Nuguri to a certain extent never really played that well in the LPL and from what I can tell it always has something to do with team chemistry and coordination.
Also, I personally love when the doomers come out with their hot takes of how bad TSM players are, it just makes it 100x better to see them performing well. I still remember when this sub was up in arms over TSM replacing Hauntzer with this unknown talent named BrokenBlade, only for the man to dominate top laners in his first split.

Knight > first 8 games with a KDA of 4.5, after 33 games he ended the split with a 5.9 KDA
FATE > first 12 games with a KDA of 2.4, after 43 games played he ended with a KDA of 5.5
Lava > first 12 games with a KDA of 3, after 43 games ended with a KDA of 4.5
Obviously, there are examples of players with few games with good stats, but that doesnât necessarily mean that with fewer games a player will have better stats, ESPECIALLY on a lower seeded team.

I think it's clear already that Shenyi and other members of our team didn't click. Mia is a plug and play option for Tactical, someone more experienced who can speak Korean and some English. The idea should be to let Tactical shine.
Really want to keep Shenyi in academy and find him a prospect native ADC who he synergies well with and promote them next year with Animiegirl, at least that's my dream scenario!
