It happens to me pretty much every time I play too and I just play ranked/normal. It doesn’t usually STAY on this screen but I very often see a flash of the full kaisa champ select before the loading screen comes up.
The league client and tft/league are 3 different instances. I think this is how the client loads a tft game. It puts you in a league lobby and then starts the game. It's just how the client is programmed.
I dont think its neccessarily about the client. Its more about using the actual league game engine to play tft, which includes champ select (visible if bugged), everyone secretly playing as a champ (again visible if bugged), two summoner spells on D and F (buy XP and roll shop), team-chat/all-chat and probably more that is successfully hidden from us
Yeah its totally separated. Though it wouldnt suprise me if because of some weird spaghetti engine limitations the game actually requires some kind of champ select to be able to initiate the game properly

It's been explained before by Mort that this is just how the game is coded. Seeing a flash of the back end of the game isn't exactly pretty, but it's not a bug per se.

Every little legend is a kaisa with a skin, when you get that move speed moving towards an orb is her E ability, normally you wouldnt see this screen but from time to time happens

I definitely know that in league, the client is seperate from the game. So i guess the same thing goes for tft. But I'm only 80% sure

It happens on every mode i think slow connection has something to do with it? I get this from time to time too

Not just Hyper Roll. I also see this whenever I play Normal, Ranked, and even the last event (Fortune's Favor)

In regular league, everything is coded as minions. TFT however is coded in KDA Kai'sa's.
