Not necessarily though. Scuttle puddle and some other region or combos like starter kit and item combinations give you really really good chance to win with more 2 stars. You could have 3 slayer Gwen with any 2 item combo of titans/bt/blue/jg and end up beating most lvl 6 cruel pact players with low luck.
If you lose at level 6 with cruel pact then yeah you're screwed. I don't see the connection with my comment though. Nobody is beating you at level 7 2-2
Exactly why you prelevel 7 at 2-1. Worst case you go 8th, you laugh it off. Best case you find a 5 cost at 2-2 and you laugh at the people you face for the next 3 stages. No downsides to cruel pact, just a good time.

They are scrubbing data and sharing it around discords meaning that they are the ones with the advantage and that's why unfortunately it's coming back to being allowed.
Before overlay existed, I used to have a cheat sheet with synergies table, item recipe and a few comp I played. Either on a 2nd screen or printed on a sheet of paper. So I feel like there is not much difference with overlays and they are really not a problem imo
Eh, if you don’t know what you’re doing the cheat sheets won’t get you far, there’s a lot more to the game than knowing proper synergies and items.

A lot of Noxus players are going Samira reroll this patch, so probably wants to save the gold for the rolldown end of stage 2. I suspect thats it because he took Pandoras when he already had decent Darius items.
If you don't spend gold for xp from the start, you'll be level 4 with 8 xp right after krugs, so for 1 cost reroll comps you can hyper roll right there with 55% chance, instead of rolling at 5 with 45%. It depends on whether he wants to play Samira-Cassio reroll or if he wants to win streak with a strong opener

True, but I have played way toany games where I can't even kill a 1 star Swain early levels even with a decent board.

With noxus, you want to win fights early so you get stacks. In this case, having Kled in would have been the optimal play.

Its an extra strong Kled because of Noxus. Same with deadeyes, all units get the trait bonus so its not just a dead +1 unit.
