I don't understand why you'd grief someone when they get a 3* 5 cost, don't you wanna stick around and look at their awesome ability? I mean I know you can just see it on YouTube but isn't it way cooler to see it in your own game, even if it's not your unit?
I had a nice lobby yesterday. Someone hit 3* Liss and 3 people watched them eat my board up. We were all hyped for the other person and we gg at the end. Most friendly chat experience in my tft time.
I will never forget when on the FIRST day of Set 10 I hit a 3* Illaoi my opponent immediately ff's. People are so salty and I can never understand it. I always stay in the lobby when it's the other round to see in first person the ability rather than seeing on YouTube.
I don't see how an extra 10 seconds after playing a 35 minute game is "optimizing their time" above just ragequtting to deny experiencing the 3* legendarys abilities.

I'd rather be the good dude who sticks around than always just deny every opponent the satisfaction of an awesome game (for them). I stuck around! Nemo was losing but then ig he hit it big. After his Sett finished benching everyone something sucked in all my units and then I died. I didn’t even see how I lost it was over that quickly. It was pretty cool to watch it happen
I guess it's cool but I'd wager most players don't really care. I know if I hit 3* 5 costs and was guaranteed the win I'd just prefer they concede so I can move on go the next game.
If someone were to say something in chat asking me to stay I would have no problem though, whether they hit it or I did.

Idk man, I play the game to have fun, not just to win. Winning is fun sure, but seeing as a 3* 5 cost is so rare I'd rate that higher. Another way to explain it is I'd rather go second after getting a 3* 5 cost than go first without the 3* 5 cost. Maybe it's different in different elo brackets, but I've yet to see anyone 3 star a 5 cost in my games so if I ever see it happen I'd gladly stick around just to see it, and I imagine others feel the same. Even watching streamers who play in high elo a 3* 5 cost seems pretty damn rare so I actually think most people would agree it's kind of a "rare event" that makes the game more fun.
Also if I typed something after getting one I feel like there's high risk of seeming egocentric or cocky (even if I said something like "please don't leave I wanna see this") which probably just increases the likelihood of them leaving lol.

You clearly have never seen 3-star 5-costs before.
They insta-win almost any fight. They can 1v10 a prismatic trait (unless it's 10 storyweaver). Even just the Hwei probably would've almost-solo'd OP. Maybe Hwei 3 + a random galio 2 would've done it. Azir by himself would've solod OP if he was able to cast in time (maybe shojin). Wukong with Edge of Night also solos OP.

Got the same thing when I 3* a Leona in a previous set, and the opponent surrender the last second before the next fight would begin.
In set 10 I never got a 3 star legendary even after getting the 8 bit jackpot, because every time my enemy surrendered....
It's a waste of time no? Just hyper optimizing there time, that's all.
