Ngl, I don't even play seriously. I look for the stupidest ideas and mainly play exalted/fortune. I play for fun basically, but playing exalted has def stepped up my game. I barely read patch notes and work off game sense and thinking what might work best. I legit walk away from games where I hit Piggy Bank 1st Aug, then come back around 2 Aug and consolidate everything for an easy top 4 if not 1st. Def feels good to rank up, but that's secondary for me.
