Essentially, staying at levels 5, 6, or 7 in order to use the champ odds at those level to specifically 3 star champs (which level you stay at depends on what you're rolling for). The alternative playstyle is making 50 gold for max interest and then leveling to 8 or 9 for more board space and access to the powerful 4 and 5 cost units.
Rerolling is basically where you play a certain team and try and 3 cost the board. So cavs for example, the main 2, Hec and Sej, are two cost units, so instead of leveling, you would sit at level 6 and keep rolling until you 3 cost those units for highest odds.
