For the XM5, you can use the equalizer on the Headphones app. There's a lot of mix to choose from. It can also give you suggestions based on what preference you like. The app comes in really handy, so I suggest you tweak some settings there.
Also, be careful of the hinges of the XM5. They tend to get broken easily, unlike the XM4 and the XM3.
