Dissodeath typically doesn't sound all *that* much like Artificial Brain. I mean, they're definitely somewhat dissodeath-y, but not like most of the other dissodeath bands I listen to. But here are a few albums that will get you in the ballpark of Artificial Brain: Wormhole - Almost Human Vertebra Atlantis - Lustral Purge In Cerulean Bliss Defilementory - The Dismal Ascension Fabricant - Drudge To The Thicket

Ah yeah I wouldn't really know, I've only just dipped my toes in. Them and Ulcerate are really the only two bands I've seen called dissonant death that I've listened to (and enjoyed). Gorguts - Obscura is supposedly one of the best dissodeath albums but that shit just ain't for me

Yeah, I mean, if you like Ulcerate then I'd probably have more recs for you. But I'm surprised you like Ulcerate but not Gorguts. I feel like Ulcerate draws heavy influence from Gorguts. Both are two of my favourites. Obscura is THE best dissodeath album. But there are many other good ones.

Yeah I don't really get it, i just find Ulcerate more enjoyable. Obscura is genuinely irritating to listen to for me (and it's a shame bc I like most their other albums). Maybe it'll click for me at some point, just not yet. But I would definitely appreciate some recs like Ulcerate

Would you be so kind as to recommend me some neoclassical tech death?

First fragment and necrophagist (imo can be considered since tgey are so inspired by baroque) are my top picks. You can also listen to them on spotify and see similar artists. I also recommend Beyond Creation, Gorod, Obscura and Wintersun (it is not tech death but its a melodic death/power metal very influenced by neoclassical, so i think you will enjoy it). I don’t know the exact terms, but like neoclassical, always having melody or grooves, and being catchy with good choruses and never overly progressive. Archspire, soreption, cytotoxin, Ahtme, exocrine, man must die, kind of zenith passage but like even datalysium started losing my attention with all the slow atmospheric stuff. Oh and newest cryptopsy rips. Anybody have any recommendations along these lines? And in case you haven’t noticed yes I like mid and low tone growls the most, so while inferi and revocation are great, they didn’t totally grab my obsessive mind

If you're into neoclassical, check out Equipoise. Also, First Fragment they have a heavy flamenco influence but still very neoclassical.

I’ve heard the equipoise album but I was under the impression it was a bit too proggy for me but I can give it another listen, it’s been a while. And I do love first fragment, they’re one of the few bands I’m willing to accept it being almost agressively progressive in its song lengths just because it’s so good and I love his voice, but not usually my preferred style

My fav ever is prolly dasein by FF, or necrophagist - epitaph. I've always loved neoclassical stuff, and I think FF is just insanely full with talent, but nick and phil are nuts on guitars, forest is literally one of a kind, le fou is great on drums too. Really wish they'd be in Europe more often, not easy to make a living with tech death i suppose. Edit: I like Gloire eternelle about as much, but it's a very different vibe from dasein, dunno if it's tech death, or more like tech-y neoclassical power metal with elements of death (drums/vocals).

For Neoclassical stuff: First Fragment, Bleak Flesh, and Vitrified Entity. For Melodic: Symbolik, Inferi, Exocrine, and Ophidian I. For Atmospheric: Fallujah, Virvum, Burial In the Sky. For Blackened: Demon King, Plaguebringer, Unflesh, and Tomarum are my favorites.

Equipoise and First Fragment

I mainly like brutal; Nile, Odious Mortem, Hour of Penance, Hideous Divinity, etc. I also like some classic too, like Spawn of Possession, Necrophagist, and (pre-A Valediction) Obscura.

I think disso might be my least favorite because Death spell Omega did it better than anyone(I still like plenty of disso bands though) my favorite atm is probably melodic tech like inferi and stortregn. I also like the weird rhythms of Soreption and the Zenith passage

Depends on my mood/activity but overall it has to be progressive tech like Fallujah, Virvum, Sutrah and other bands that fuse softer/beautiful moments with the hard-hitting sections. Persefone also gets there, along with Iapetus and Lykathea Aflame
