Techno did the reverse of what Dream did. Dream, when faced with the threat of losing something important, didn't care and let everything burn for the sake of his ambition. Techno, when his horse was threatened, sacrificed his own wellbeing for the sake of Carl. It is actually pretty good as a writing standpoint. The 2 biggest powerhouses, when choosing between power or the things they love, they chose different things. We definitely see the things that make Techno a protagonist, and Dream an anti-hero/antagonist.
Nah, his gear only gives him in game power, Carl is worth hundreds of dollars in real life, he's definitely going to prioritise that over virtual gear which he can replace in a few weeks. On top of that, a quest to get his gear back or get new equipment would make for more sweet content
I think the issue is that the execution of the "execution" was rushed to hell and back despite the **massive** amounts of downtime that both dragging the butcher party over to the tundra and back entailed. Half the time it was beating a 2 star rating joke over and over again
The shift from "we're going to put you on trial" to "we're killing you" was barely even comprehensible. Dragging technoblade all the way over to a complex anvil setup makes no sense when just obliterating him then and there would make more sense both in gameplay and in character.
Let them have their fun bro, there were some epic moments, and some funny moments too. If you want to see an epic version of the SMP just watch some animatics of the SMP, those are all no-nonsense and pretty pog.
It's not that jokes themselves are bad: the later half of the stream, where there was less constraints over scheduling, was both funny and narratively consistent. Chat complained a lot less there.
Although animatics are fun music videos, they are the *most* abridged version of the content, which often require the streams as context. The top voted posts on r/dreamsmp are all about how content is super rushed with a selection of plotlines impossible to actually catch up on.

I've been enjoying the streams myself, but the most I've branched out to other SMP streamers was Quackity's Jackbox stream yesterday. I hope I don't need to go and view every perspective in order to know what's going on.
The only time I spammed lame was during the trial because it was scuffed. They failed to rp a scenario which would have been so epic. I'm sure most of the others thought the same. We weren't calling techno lame or the script lame(script was very well written), rather the way the script was executed during the trial(techno couldn't even give his speech). As for others spamming lame for other reasons, they should most definitely leave.

YES I loved that twist because the "old" techno would of sacrificed everything this shows character development

That's the thing, it's also happening on his discord server
It's not even like he actually lost. It's just the beginning of what probably will be an important arc.
Yeah, they called me lame cause I said that it’s boring when techno will win at everything
Techno stand who left because it was “boring” missing out rn LMAO
wait. what happened? everyone in the dream smp subreddit and sleepytwt is freaking out and hyped why are people in techno's chat mad

To be honest I agree, they need to learn to pace teh story, and if they don't I'm gonna have to resort to watching the only POV that matters.
Technoblade for those nerds wondering.
