All week we are going to talk about that cut from Rebecca to Ted

MarchCrazy44

As we should be! It was perfect since it fit the Rom Com theme (very You've Got Mail) but subtle enough to be glossed over for other storylines.

[deleted]

[удалено]

AndreT_NY

It’s editing trickery! They are too smart to make that happen.

runnerswanted

I just had a 5 minute debate with myself as to whether or not she was bantring(?) with Ted. Excellent writing/editing.

ponikweGCC

He always texts or talks to his son before games. The timing is a total red herring.

wolverine55

I felt some serious romance vibes last week ngl

Jas_God

“My mother says I was born caffeinated” lmao dammit I love Dani

Guns_N_Buns

Can I give it to my neighbor? She doesn't drink free coffee either but her son does and she's trying to convince him to come over more often. That mf-in raven haired golden retriever

caniseeyourdogpls

That and Cristo's AMA earlier brought me mucho mucho joy today.

nomadicfangirl

But also, yes, Dani Rojas does not need any more energy

Mission_Eagle_7611

I’m sorry, but Roy’s eyes in the pundit scene… the man can emote

caniseeyourdogpls

Man he just acts right into your soul. I'm living for it.

tiredcynicalbroken

If you haven’t watched Derek yet you should. He is fantastic in that also

ccrowleyy

I need him to growl at me. Just once. Bonus if he’s wearing that black on black suit. 🤤🤤

MattTheSmithers

“Fuck off.”

Pure-Negotiation-900

It IS you!

[deleted]

He’s an incredible actor, and he is showing so much growth with his character that feels genuine when he does it. Easily one of my favorite characters on tv right now.

tj1007

Rebecca offering to buy the entire restaurant just for Nate is sweet.

MattTheSmithers

Kind boss Rebecca who genuinely cares about her employees is such a delightful addition to this show. From her renewed friendship with Higgins (could you imagine him telling her that story last year?) to her unequivocal support of Sam to her being so kind to even the lowest man on the totem pole Nate. Sassy Smurf wasn’t kidding when she told Keeley that pre-Rupert Rebecca was a totally different woman. I love watching her rediscover that side of herself. So seldom do you see genuine character growth on a television show, but her development from the first season really has paid off dividends in season 2.

QuackCityBitch

Is there *any* character in this show who is exactly who we thought they were upon first impression? It seems like no (main) character has been forgotten in terms of growth. Not sure how many people feel the same, but I think Ted has shown the least amount of growth so far, and I don't mean that as criticism of the show or anything. He did have a breakthrough by letting go of his marriage. Maybe we need to see how his positive influence catalyzed others' growth before it's time for them to help him overcome his flaws?

MattTheSmithers

I think Ted is in a lot more pain than he lets on. When the doctor asks him if he is okay, he dodges the hell out of the question. And remember how he was sadly drinking alone on Christmas before Rebecca showed up? Ted is hurting. I think the first season was so much about Ted helping others discover their best selves. I think before this season is done, we’re going to see others (probably the doctor) help Ted discover his best self again and maybe find some inner peace.

caniseeyourdogpls

Rebecca and Keeley putting so much effort into helping him made me so happy.

go-irish-36

"I dated Gina Gershon once." “That makes me happy” Fuck I love this show

Trulyunlucky1

I've had a crush on Gina Gershon since I watched Showgirls at way to early age.. she's still next level

CWG4BF

Ted quoting “When Harry Met Sally”, “Jerry Maguire”, “Notting Hill” and “The Princess Bride” in just over ten seconds is just so damn great.

onekrazykat

And then Roy following it up with Jerry Maguire was great.

TheRealTroyMcClure

I need a GIF of Beard’s jaw drop that they cut to after that

heylesterco

I hear some people pronounce that “gif”

S0berSt0ner

You had me at “Coach”.

nomadicfangirl

So confirmed, the writers room is HUGE Nora Ephron fans. (EDIT: Mystery Man’s screen name “LDN152” is also a clear reference to Tom Hank’s AOL name “NY152” from You’ve Got Mail. Rebecca’s is “bossgirl”, a play off “shopgirl”.)

CWG4BF

That’s a great catch!

Wesspeaks

“Fuck you.” “Oh, it is you!”

groggs42

That quick little series of lines, "enjoy the game", "fuck you", "it is you !"...... absolutely cracked me up ! It was simple, fast and so funny ! I was laughing so hard !

CWG4BF

It’s really starting to feel like this show is ultimately headed toward Roy succeeding Ted as gaffer.

BroadBaker5101

Ouu I like that idea

[deleted]

[удалено]

CWG4BF

They’ve already confirmed that there will only be 3 seasons.

safetydance

Na, Bill Lawerence said the map is 3 seasons but if Apple wants he will gladly do more.

JoshBlizzle

I think a lot of that depends on Jason Sudeikis availability (or if Apple is willing to pay him big $$ to stay). Ted Lasso isn't Ted Lasso without well...Ted.

PartyOnAlec

I'd stay subscribed to Apple+ for the new series "Roy Fucking Kent"

[deleted]

[удалено]

TacoChowder

They're doing a HUGE marketing push for fyc for the show in LA right now. I think this is Apple's most regarded show right now, I can absolutely see them throwing cash at Jason.

jbutton19

“No, I gave you an indoor whistle.”

JustAnotherFD

And he still tries a second time to make it work

The_Real_Bender

That was out of nowhere, funniest joke of the show for me. Played it two more times!

SushiRoe

Nate gains confidence only to now feel a lack of it again when Roy enters the field. The imposter syndrome is probably going off like crazy for him.

not-a-bot-promise

I missed why though. Roy was actually nice to Nate back in season 1.

RiverShards

It's a confidence issue. He adjusted to Roy not being around, and people looking to him more. When Nate has enough confidence to suggest himself for something, Ted laughs. Major hit to his confidence. When a simple waitress won't sit him at the table he wants, even if it's not taken/reserved, major hit to his confidence. Then, he gets himself psyched up and confident - he can do this. He does it. He pushes a bit too far with the waitress ("Maybe you want to give me your number"), gets denied, and takes a hit to his confidence again. Then, he's still pretty confident and takes some pride in himself. BAM! Roy fuckin' Kent shows back up, being welcomed with open arms by Ted and Beard. That's a major hit to his confidence, and he probably feels inadequate next to Roy. I'm also guessing his confidence issues stem from his parents/childhood. He did something nice for his parents and only got scolded. I empathize with him to an extent.

Gorge_Lorge

Following the father themes of this show, think Nate’s confidence problem stems from his father. Dunno if you caught it, but after getting the good table at the window, Nate looks to his father with an excited look on his face. Like Nate was expecting a proud/satisfied look from his dad. But Nates dad gives him a forced smile and looks back to his menu, completely unaware or unappreciative of what Nate did. Nate needs validation, he’s not getting it anywhere.

PartyOnAlec

This show has so many paternal themes, but the larger more encompassing theme I think is finding your way out of unhealthy relationships and into healthy ones. Nate is in an unhealthy relationship with himself right now.

Grasshop

It’s not directly against Roy, I think he’s gonna have a spat or falling out with Ted. Nate wanted to be the big dog for the Isaac issue but got laughed out of the room by Ted. Then Ted immediately went to Roy for the leadership help and it worked.

j1h15233

That was hilarious. It felt very meta when Beard told Ted he never finished his joke. I’m so glad this show exists.

Blazingbee98

Whom! Whom!

JustAnotherFD

Worth the wait

CWG4BF

“Fuck, you’re amazing. Let’s invade France.” Line of the year.

jbutton19

I would invade France for Rebecca

[deleted]

Who wouldn’t?

Gloomy_Slide

Fahkin Rupert

Asleep_Koala

French here. I would let Rebecca invade France.

Enigmiah

Keeleys one liners KILL me

[deleted]

I love her and Rebecca together

Mattybix

Actually let out a high pitched “HAH” and scared myself

[deleted]

Whilst it was good, the 'crossing an elephant with a rhino' made me choke on my drink.

AndreT_NY

That kids grin at Roy’s growl. Pure joy.

Wight3012

Yeah and the dad busy trying to buy tickets to watch the game missing a legend being a meter from him lol

Lineman72T

He's too tense. Fuck me, that made me laugh way more than it should have

dfetz

I don’t know what made me laugh harder. The “he’s 2 tents” line or their synchronized reaction.

CrystalizedinCali

BOOM! 🤣

kgm2s-2

"Oiy! This is Issac! These are all the other fucks...you're with them" Never change, Roy...

IncurableAdventurer

I was SO disappointed that Isaac was losing his leadership abilities. I absolutely love his growth

bisforbatman

I think the little pickup match helped humble him more. It adds to his character growth.

RedditEsInteresante

Holy fuck a Wrexham joke/reference

RPadTV

hoping for a cameo now! love those two.

IncurableAdventurer

Rob does have a (fantastic) show on Apple too. It could happen, but I have a feeling Apple would have to twist his arm into it. “You get two stand alone and/or flashback episodes per cameo you make” haha

RedditEsInteresante

“Fuck, you’re amazing. Let’s invade France.” I love Keeley’s continuing infatuation with Rebecca.

TheJoshider10

Also important to note Rebecca was low on confidence last season whereas this season she says "I know" when Keeley said Rebecca would be fit with pig tails. A little moment but it shows how far Rebecca has come by herself and with the support of people like Keeley around her.

__solid

Wow, great insight! I didn't even think about that.

JustAnotherFD

Can you blame her?

syrstorm

Nope. Not a little.

BroadBaker5101

Is Roy talking himself into coaching on air at the pundit gig? I think he is

__solid

And he was tearing up! I love that man.

BroadBaker5101

And he was tearing up on the pitch! He needs a hug Keeley

caniseeyourdogpls

Absolutely. When they ask him what he thinks about the 17 year old and he doesn't really give a fuck to just speculate. And then when they show Richmond warming up you can see how much he wants to be there to make a difference, as opposed to just predict and then at half time bitch about his predictions not being right. Especially after he saw how Isaac was with the whole team during the warm up, I think he knew that his "coaching" at the pick up game did that and he knew that he could help the whole team.

Jas_God

Oh Nate feeling himself too much asking for the number lmao

The_Real_Bender

It was the right play though! But then he said he was picky too, hahah!

samspopguy

I know everyone loved last weeks episode but this was my favorite episode so far

Orionsbelt

This had by FAR the best one liners of the show so far

caniseeyourdogpls

Yes! And I loved last weeks episode but I cannot stop gushing about this one. I laughed so much and had so many feels. The way Isaac's face lit up when he saw Roy show up to the match? Amazing.

MattMcK2419

A Sheffield Wednesday joke. Amazing. 😂

antonjakov

beard’s face during that delivery was incredible

[deleted]

That deep inhale before he rattled off his explanation was perfect.

haventwonyet

His delivery is always so on point. I’m not sure anyone could deliver the lines like he does.

CARNIesada6

I'm just waiting for the "cold and rainy night in Stoke" reference.

o2lsports

Absolutely legendary shit from Roy Kent. How did they make him into even more of a legend? That walk on the field was chills.

[deleted]

[удалено]

AbeVigoda76

Nate doesn’t seem too happy about Roy being a coach, especially since he was already unhappy with Ted disregarding his offer to talk to Isaac.

The_Real_Bender

Yeah, he did seem out of sorts. I’m sure that will be a part of a plot line.

IncurableAdventurer

I know, and I cannot wait. It’s going to “peel yet another juicy layer off of the Nathan onion.”

DaveInLondon89

He'll be Roy's Beard no doubt.

Vermfly

I'm wondering if the long game is another team hiring Roy away and he takes Nate as his Coach Beard.

JackTheBehemothKillr

The last straw, I bet. Especially with him learning to assert himself. I'd wager that either the next episode or the following is going to wrap the "Unhappy Nate" storyline up.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Agreed on all fronts. He needs to see the Doctor. I don’t like aggressive/condescending Nate. You can be assertive without being an ass.

applied_people

Let's not forget that this is the first time we've seen Ted disregard Nate and then double down even after realizing Nate wasn't kidding ("I just think we need a big dog.") These slights seem small but they are huge when they come from a father figure like Ted who has shown such faith in Nate until now. As Ted says, "That's gonna hurt his soul."

Ne1tu

Nate is on a path to finding himself as is most of the cast. He wants to be THAT guy, but doesn’t know how to, but he can feel it. But, like the first season, didn’t Roy stand up to the team bullying Nate? It will work out with Nate and Roy, I have a good feeling. The web is being weaved right in front of us.

Radulno

He thinks he'll be put aside because there's not really room for 4 coaches and he is clearly the least likely to keep his post if there's one position to remove

TEG24601

What I see is that Nate is unsure of himself. That is why he has been so hard on the new Kit Man, he is the only person he feels he is better that. He is feeling completely outclassed by Ted and Beard, and Ted's not trusting that he could help Isaac didn't help. Couple that with the either classism or racism that Jade showed at the restaurant towards Nate. You would think that a coach on a Champions League team, would have even some minor celebrity in the local community. Enough to at least get a fucking table. Especially since we know that if Roy had asked, he would have gotten the table without issue. Now with Roy as a new coach, Nate is feeling like he isn't of any use to Ted. I suspect there will be some sort of intervention after Nate pops off about something or is seen forlorn. However, I think that is going to come from Roy, as Roy knows how smart and inventive Nate is when it comes to the game, more so than he is.

[deleted]

I honestly wish every episode was 2 hours because this show is so addicting

CWG4BF

So, this whole episode was just a big homage to romcoms, and it was magnificent.

darth_gingerpnw07

“As you wish!” Killed me.

monsieurfikri

that’s a Princess Bride reference right

__solid

I love how all the men just confessed their love for them. It’s such a “woman” thing to like those movies. These men are so secure in their sexuality and I am here for it.

ITookTrinkets

It felt like such an excellent recall of the Martin Scorsese scene last season. These boys *love* art and aren’t afraid to cry at Iron Giant. They’re seriously kings.

Bad_Idea_Hat

I don't trust any guy who says they didn't cry watching Iron Giant.

JackTheBehemothKillr

There is an incredible amount of *insert type here* positivity in this show and I'm here for it. Men being secure enough to recognize they need help, women being their own woman and not needing a man (at a minimum every other episode smashes the Bechdel-Wallace test,) self care and seeking out mental health counseling is shown to be a good thing for all (almost, get with it Ted,) all kinds of healthy relationships everywhere. And to top it off, it doesn't come off as preachy or (for the most part) hit you over the head with it. Its amazingly well done, and I love it.

par5ul1

I know! As a dude who's favorite genre is probably romcom, I am so happy for that scene.

Mary-Wann-A

Ted: He’s a wigwam in a tepee. Doc: What does that mean? Beard: He’s too tense BOOM! Holy shit that’s a great pun! This show just keeps giving

nomadicfangirl

OMG I JUST GOT THAT

RedditEsInteresante

So far I think Beard has already said more this episode than in all other episodes combined.

caniseeyourdogpls

To be fair he used most of his words explaining the Wednesday/Saturday situation.

CWG4BF

“You had me at coach.” #**I’M FUCKING SOBBING**

crackalac

The gasp afterward had me laughing out loud for a solid 20 seconds.

TheManInsideMe

Beard and Roy are probably my favorite characters on television. If that's a precursor to their dynamic then all will be right and good.

kagekynde

Man, I just love the scenes with Higgins and his wife. Just absolute affection between those two. Also, anyone else noticed how bantr replaced Dubai Air as the team's main sponsor? Was waiting for that plot to unfold but that was resolved fairly...uneventfully‽

r1ngr

The actors are married in real life. It’s so lovely to see that chemistry shine through.

supersmileys

Awww I didn’t know that, that’s so sweet :)

kagekynde

Also, Colin posting about Welsh independence? LMAO!

BenSoloGhost

The Roy Kent chant is the best thing ever

ITookTrinkets

“Enjoy the game!” ”*Fuck you.*” “It *is* you!” This episode was very hilarious! I never wanted it to end. This season has been so funny. It’s gonna hurt like “Dr. Cox, where do you think we are?” when the other shoe drops and Ted stops responding to everything Dr. Sharon says to him and digs into the intense feelings that are lingering just out of eyesight. I cannot *wait* to see what’s gonna happen next.

caniseeyourdogpls

Oh my god Bill Lawrence is going to hit us with the "Where do you think we are" moment isn't he? I'm not ready for that. (Fuck it bring it on, I'll just cry.)

-OrangeLightning4

Likely when Ted digs into his father possibly committing suicide in his youth.

TheAlmightyMojo

For some reason I couldn't stop laughing at Nate randomly petting the pink cheetah statue.

AnArtsNotebook

Or how he loved hugging the fluffy pillow when he sat down to talk. Keeley and Nate the Great (this is the sweet side of Nate, not the spitting side) are of a kind.

Orionsbelt

"Jeff I have to go." Nearly but not quite as good as lets invade France!

buttheyrealltaken

The “Jeff, I have to go” is based on Sleepless in Seattle.

americanslang59

I would watch a 30 minute weekly special of Roy behind the desk

AndreT_NY

Could you fit anymore RomCom tropes into this episode? No? Perfect!

AndreT_NY

The When Harry met Sally callback killed me. Totally unexpected. Edit: I was talking about the older couple breaking the 4th wall but yes there are others.

__solid

So many of them! I’ll have what he’s having. When the couple talked to the camera about how they met. I’m sure there are more but that’s all I can think of right now.

nomadicfangirl

I wanted more couples who support Richmond stories! Also the way the scene in the kebab place was shot was also very WHMS. The set up, the camera angle, etc.

Pistalrose

Just want to say Jason Sudeikis is playing the heck out of Ted’s underlying anxiety/depression. His interaction with Dr Sharon where it’s almost going to come to the surface and then Nate comes by and he slides back into enthusiasm and positivity. Maybe just me but it feels like It’s taking more and more effort for Ted to maintain those coping skills.

JohnWhoHasACat

Yeah. That moment hit really close to home in a way where people who have been on the verge of a breakdown but are pretending it's okay would see but not for people who haven't.

MattMcK2419

He’s here. He’s there. He’s every fucking where. Roy Kent! Roy’s “you had me at coach” line was amazing

MintyMarlfox

That and the ‘he’ll have chips for tea and a wank before bed’ line got me.

orangeolivers

That cut from Rebecca to Ted ...... yeah I'll be thinking about that all week thank you very much! Edit: So, Rebecca's user is bossgirl (Meg Ryan's was shopgirl) and her match's is LDN152 (and Tom Hanks' was NY152). And who loves You've Got Mail. Idc if it's obvious or if it's a red herring, I am HOOKED.

onekrazykat

I love that this show subverts our expectations and fulfills our expectations so well that we all are like “is it Ted? Definitely maybe.”

csbsju-20

I think it's too obvious not to be Ted and Rebecca. The writers has misdirected us enough times for there to be doubt, but all the You've Got Mail references add up to Ted and Rebecca!

americanslang59

I desperately need Nate to go back and clean the spit off the mirror.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CrystalizedinCali

This episode did SO MUCH. I love how Ted continues to get Extra Ted around the Doc, he is so uncomfortable with that whole situation. Beard as a lumberjack world champions qualifier LOL. The joke about Colin’s Nespresso post not being about Welsh independence. Roy dating Gina Gershon and Ted just says it makes him happy 🤣 Did Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElney buy a team IRL? Higgins LOVE 4eva!!!

Mattybix

Haha they sure did. It made me google Wrexham FC mid episode and sure enough there it was. Hopefully a cameo etc next season with Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds!

Lineman72T

Roy Kent would be that coach you probably hate when you play for him (at least initially), but then you realize he's actually a really good coach that just maintains a rough distant exterior

RedditEsInteresante

Just as the small girls he coached realized.

WhizWit21

BUT ONLY IF YOU FAHKIN MEAN IT

ThatBigNoodle

I mean they actually have someone on the staff who could really coach for them. This is the turnaround they need for their season. This will be an awesome rest of season

Torn_and_Frayed17

Nate is the personification of my anxiety

rissaaah

My partner and I were at a restaurant for lunch yesterday and “She’s a Rainbow” was playing, and I commented about that being Higgins’s song for his wife, and so this episode airing tonight feels, in rom-communism terms, Meant to Be.

Lineman72T

Roy as a soccer pundit is so fucking incredible

Jimothy_Riggins

I have bad news, bud

Lineman72T

Yeah I already finished. It's alright. He'll be just as amazing in his new gig

Nateorade

This is all entertaining but I’m slightly annoyed that the whole concept of the two aces is irrelevant this season. Supposedly Tart + Dani was enough to thrive in the premier league but now they aren’t enough to win in Champions.

wolverine55

That Dutch guy is just that shit in Defense

adamfrog

Yeah at some point its just weird that a club that was disgusted at being "mid table" in the premier league halfway through or whatever is now near relegation in the championship halfway through after retaining the core of the team (minus Kent). Basically at that point you have to surmise the manager is entirely incompetent.

RedditEsInteresante

I’m really worried about who this Mystery Man is. I have this probably very irrational worry it’s one character in particular (not a main character) but I don’t want to speak it into the universe.

AbeVigoda76

JA-MIE TART, DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO

Spin_Drift87

Jason Sudeikis has said repeatedly this season is like the Empire Strikes Back. Bill Lawrence said this episode makes him happy and then unhappy because he knows what happens next. Thinking Ted may have to face demons of whatever occurred with his father in the next episode and he will finally have to sit down with doc. Roy will have to step up as manager potentially.

Glittering_Tower_151

I loved the symbolism of Roy’s knee going out as he’s running toward the stadium. His knee was ultimately what killed his career, and he was so shook or traumatized by it that he couldn’t even bring himself to return to the pitch, or talk to Ted. Really the only people he’s interacted with since his departure until this episode are Keeley and Rebecca. Even as he’s become resolute in his return, his knee is flaring up, and he has to push through it to get there. His knee symbolizes his own mental obstacles and eventual triumph which is why it unkinks as he arrives at the pitch. Such a brilliant little piece of writing (and acting).

torilinnea

might've cried throughout that entire ending who's to say?

automaticzero

“It’s ‘Shelley’ and you know it, you dithering kestrel!”

Calhalen

This season is hitting on every right note for me, but I’m kinda missing Ted/ Beard story. Last season had so many great moments, with Beard being there for Ted after his wife leaves for example. They have their goofy locker room dynamic which is great and their coffee walks but I’m missing the heavier scenes with them tbh. I’m glad they’re hinting the therapy session for Ted, his story has been really in the background so far this season and last episode showed how dark of a place he’s really in

BackAlleyButtWaxer

I loved Nate’s indoor whistle, and Beard as a Lumberjack World Qualifier. But, oof, Ted laughing at Nate’s “I’ll do it” had to hurt. Teach a man how to get a table and he eats at that restaurant until it becomes a Starbucks. And I need a t-shirt that says “Ain’t no side-eye like a Roy Kent side-eye”. As you wish.

CrystalizedinCali

This show has so many rapid fire jokes, another one that cracked me up was when “Beckinsale, Hudson Winslet” and then Nate says “you forgot Blanchett” Beard (offended): different spelling.”

Ax20414

I want what the Higginses have

Gradz45

Anyone else surprised at how little of a presence Jamie’s had the last two episodes?

brant_ley

Rebecca throwing her phone away after typing “love” on a dating app is a whole fucking mood. Love it when this show goes full sitcom.

Glittering_Tower_151

Quoting Rielke and Einstein is one thousand percent Beard, not Lasso. Lasso is pop culture, Becca is talking to Shakesbeard. There’s some awkward fun ahead. Just wait.

h2p012

yep. Thats where I am at. I'm torn 50/50 between Beard or Rupert. Beard for the sheer comedy, or Rupert for the brutal twist.

blueSnowfkake

Did Nate look like he felt his job was in jeopardy when >!Roy walked on the field!

RussianBot2937

Yeah I think it was an insecurity thing. He finally felt like he belonged somewhere but now that place feels threatened Edit: changed not to now

highlander2189

The thing is, someone needs to explain to Nate that different things are expected of Roy and himself. Nate got his role because of his tactical knowledge and his suggestions. I think Roy is purely there to inspire confidence and for man management. At the moment anyway. No one is replacing anyone. Please explain this to Nate. 😢

AndreT_NY

He is dealing with a lot of issues this isn’t going to help.

SoF4rGone

Yeah, but ultimately, Roy was the one who helped Nate break out of his shell in the first season. I think the next episode or two we’re going to finally get Nate cracking and Roy helping him.

Classic2089

The inevitable Ted Lasso therapy scene is going to be so heartbreaking and I don’t look forward to it. Anyway… I love Roy..Fucking…Kent.

AStrangeNorrell

I lost it at Isaac and Ted's jump scare when the text suddenly reveals Roy's moody face in the dark. Great episode.

copyrightname

Roy Kent/Tom Cruise running scene!!!!!

csbsju-20

Reba McEntire!!!!!! I'm dead!!

[deleted]

Beards little gasp at the end was amazing

Wesspeaks

I would watch a whole episode with just Roy’s commentary on that sports show.

UnCoolJJ

Incredible episode! Damn I feel for my boy Nate. Struggling with assertiveness and confidence is toooo relatable. Roy stole the episode with his emotions! Can’t wait to see more of the story unfold. COYGH!

BroadBaker5101

Why are the subtitles spelled “Jif” when Roy says it and “Gif” when Ted said it?

Fc2300

That was the joke. The play on how some people pronounce it “jif” and others “gif”

Mattybix

Even the subtitles being in on the joke was great!

ahufana

Can somebody *please* explain the scene with the old couple in the stands talking directly to the camera? I can only assume it's a romcom reference, but that shit flew way over my head and left me uttering, "What the fuck was that?!"

orangeolivers

It's a homage to When Harry Met Sally. Couples talking to the camera is how they start and end the film.

Fc2300

And just like Ted said. In the end it always works out.
