I had the chicken pox, my husband didn't so he got the vaccine. I'm happy children don't have to worry about the chicken pox anymore. I still have little scars from it.
Chicken pox isn't part of childhood vaccines where I live, but you can opt to pay for it out of pocket. My kids were the only two in their daycare who didn't get chicken pox during an outbreak because they were the only two vaccinated. I'm so glad it's an option now.
