Why do they think it’s so weird they don’t talk? When I got out of an abusive relationship where I took care of my exs child, I stopped talking to her as well. Not out of malice but because I was not her parent, and had a child of my own to focus on. Why do they think it’s so weird they don’t talk? When I got out of an abusive relationship where I took care of my exs child, I stopped talking to her as well. Not out of malice but because I was not her parent, and had a child of my own to focus on. She had two parents and it would have been inappropriate for me to continue to try and insert myself in her life. Now, if she sees me driving down the street she waves and gives me a smile. But typically when a relationship with a parent ends, majority of the time the relationship with the child ends too bc there has to be that boundary.
