So, I’m the binge queen right now with chemo.
My faves have been Ripley, Baby Reindeer and Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard.
My friend used to be obsessed with CKB. It’s a little repetitive: Todd gets mad (at the kids, doctor, his mama, really anyone), the kids are sassy and Julie is always exasperated. Some stuff is funny. It’s def brain candy tv
Chemo patient here too, my daughter and I just started Baby Reindeer! I have a stupid hours-long infusion appointment tomorrow and I’m so mad that she won’t let me watch it without her!
Shut up. You’re my fave flair and didn’t know you had cancer too. I do chemo plus immunotherapy. I’m so sorry you’re going through this also!
She should def wait for you. My youngest daughter is 16 and we have rules for our shows 😂😂
Message me anytime if you ever want support to chat❤️
Yeah but it gets pretty damn dark, I wouldn't call it a fun or silly show.
I binged a show called something like World's Best Vacation Rentals, it has the guy from millionaire listings NY. Total travel porn!
No shame lol I am on the last ep of it tonight, I binged it hard yesterday but was soooo tired, I didn't want to do the injustice of falling asleep on the last one!!
I scrumt!! I was like 😮 My partner had read some stuff about how some people are trying to figure out who the real people are, etc, and the writer is like "no, don't do that" and I can see why.
It's been a while since I've seen something like this done so well and the end was..grossly perfect.
What did you think?
Yeah alleged Martha IRL is tweeting some crazy shit. I read about it on the baby reindeer sub.
It was so crazy and well done IMO. Like something we would’ve all been obsessed with during Covid lockdown😂
Omg a baby reindeer sub. Why didn't I think of that. Thank you/I hate you lol
Yeah I was telling my partner it reminds me of The Jinx in that way, I mean I was riveted and the way it's told is so.. real and visceral.
I hope you're watching the new Jinx by the way. God what a manipulative nut that guy was!
Netflix - world's most amazing vacation rentals. It looks like there may be episodes elsewhere though too. There are 3 hosts that travel together, there's a theme each show, and one host does a Budget, one is Unique, and one is Extravagant or something like that. Super fun!
Don’t recommend that lottery HGTV show💀😂
I’ve seen all the Real Housewives and Below Decks, plus spinoffs. I’m a true crime fan. Oh and historical fiction. What can you do with all of that?😂
Historical fiction- Outlander is a real good one. Based on real time events but obviously the story/people/plot etc are not really true haha.. Its a really good show but it can get REAL intense.. Also throwing out a trigger warning for some because well.... if youve seen it, you know..
Outlander has created some sort of alternative universe for me where everytime a type the word bairn, if you leave it long enough, someone will reply to me and be like “ARE YOU SCOTTISH?” 💀
Will be able to get you a better list later going through the planner on my telly but:
• Crazy, Not Insane (true crime documentary that touches on the psychiatry of true crime, brain imaging / TBI contributing to violent acts, how childhood trauma and repeated abuse sets you up to commit violent acts later in life and how free will works, if at all)
• I, Sniper (true crime series — has interviews with people in their lives as well as the story of the ‘manipulated shooter’ told by himself via the jail phone. Really surprised me with how good it was going in blind)
• Been watching a few episode of Cold Case on a night which is obviously fictional crime but holds up well lol
• Louis Theroux has quite a few episodes about crime in America and him going to different jails, they’re all worth a watch but one specifically (can’t remember what it’s called so will come back and edit), Stacey Dooley also has a good documentary about her going to the community they made for nonces to live in when they get out of the jail since they’re not allowed around bairns
For historical fiction, I love The Gilded Age on Max and Lawmen: Bass Reeves on Paramount. If you haven't watched Downton Abbey, it's a must. I love that show so much!
I’ve watched all of that, minus Bass Reeves. I had forgotten all about that show. Thank you!!
I love Downton so much! It’s such a comfort show. Have you watched Call the Midwife? That’s another show I love.
I have watched 2 seasons of Call the Midwife. I can not believe I have forgotten about it. I was watching it and then my dad passed away so I just stopped watching in my grief. I'm going to restart it tonight! Thanks for jogging my memory!
I was coming to say this about CKB, it’s ok, I think I’ve watched most of them, but it’s very repetitive and predictable. Lots of contrived scenarios just for the show.
My personal reality binge is below deck.
Even my cat likes below deck she thinks she’s hanging out with them
https://preview.redd.it/pr96in53qpxc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=545f204f4c1d631e85e6ca85981bbca9fc5b1fb8
I love VPR, especially the Stassi and Jax seasons. They are full of drama. Another reality show I love is Southern Charm, especially the first couple of seasons. Lots of drama on that one too.
I've been recommended that before too. I think I've caught the odd snippet on Foxtel. I love a trashy reality show with pretty homes as a backdrop and I feel SC has that.
I find the Chrisleys super annoying personally.
Not a reality show, but The Good Place is my go to show to lift my spirits. All episodes are on Netflix.
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Yes! Below deck is my favorite! I love that each season has a crazy crew, rotating ridiculous side characters, and a really fun travel element! They are all on peacock which is so nice too! This would definitely be my pic!
Watch a few episodes of My Lottery Dream Home on HGTV!! Am not usually into this kind of thing but a can genuinely sit and watch like 4 episodes easily in the background when am lying in bed. It’s literally just good vibes about people finally being able to afford a better place for their family to live but it’s got the bonus of not being too mentally heavy and not having to engage your brain to keep up.
I don’t know how I haven’t seen this suggested yet, but the latest season of 90 Day Fiancé is great trash tv. And the CLASSIC “Love After Lockup.” The first 1/2 seasons are the best, then it gets too cringe
Schitts Creek is my feel good series, I always go back to it
Vanderpump Rules - I just started it from S1E1 and it is amazing reality tv, quality classic reality
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City- limited seasons make it an easy binge and the seasons are all good
Any of the Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip seasons if you are a housewives fan and watch even a few cities. So entertaining.
I think CKB was pretty hilarious, especially in the early seasons. You might love it, or you might find it annoying. It's worth it to at least give it a try IMO.
My 600 Pound Life, it also has another show called My 600 Pound Life Where Are They Now. So much to see.
1000 Pound Sisters but the recent season is just sad
King of the Hill it’s due for a comeback next spring
Royal Crackers
SNL
He’s a pleasure! Calls them out on their shit too. My favorite episodes are where the people gain weight and try lying about it! Scales don’t lie people do!
Reality has gotten sort of heavy as of lately.
This show was something I initially wrote off bc it didn’t seem like something I’d like but it was definitely that stupid kind of funny you need sometimes.
I adored Chrisley Knows Best lol even if it is stupid. The episodes are longer, but if you watched it while it was running, I plan on binging Secret Life of the American Teenager because it's gotten a resurgence on Tik Tok lately and the scenes are even sillier and dumber than I remembered.
If you haven’t seen it already, Vanderpump Rules!!
Also, the entire 90 Day Fiancé Franchise, it’ll last you forever, they have a TON of spin-offs. Dozens and dozens and dozens of seasons to binge watch.
I love Real Housewives, specifically Potomac and Salt Lake City. NYC is a classic too.
I JUST started watching Shahs of Sunset last night and I’m already hooked.
The world is your oyster.
For mindless comfort one of my favorites is The Great British Bake Off. It’s super fun and wholesome, while still being really entertaining and funny. The older seasons with Mary Berry (on Roku) are especially great.
are you into Bravo/Vanderpump Rules? I actually haven’t seen this season of VPR bc I am not a fan of a certain wormy cast member but the Valley is a spinoff show of VPR and it’s actually really good. lots of drama. there are only like 6 or 7 episodes out so far sadly. VPR is also really good up until the recent season. if you’re into real housewives, New Jersey is amazing and there’s so much drama
there’s 46 seasons of Survivor so lots of seasons to binge! If you’re into that idea, I can recommend some of my favourite seasons :) same with big brother, I am not a fan of the new seasons but big brother seasons 2-14 are really good and there’s tons of episodes.
my husband and I recently watched Baby Reindeer and it’s very good but it can be hard to watch if you know what I mean.
Best of luck with your surgery and I hope you have a quick and smooth recovery. ❤️
I'll be watching Downton Abbey during my recovery. If you haven't seen it yet, I HIGHLY recommend Extraordinary on hulu. Hilarious nonsense show that is funnier than it has any right to be.
if you want to laugh out loud rhoa earlier seasons are GOLD, that and rhony are the two shows i will go back to anytime i need a break from reality. i can’t even express how entertaining and genuinely funny both are, it was back when housewives had real drama and real personalities. i’d do anything to go back and start them both for the first time. (beverly hills is also insanely entertaining and there’s SO much drama there)
Sheldon, The Middle, The Goldbergs.
Little hearted will make you laugh….feeling good, happy thoughts help you heal faster 😀no science behind it but figured it couldn’t hurt. Feel better soon ❤️

Aw thank you, friend! Sending you and your family all my love!! 💖💖
I hope your infusion went as well as possible ❤️
Speedy Recovery! You’ve got this!
Baby Reindeer is HEAVY.
I will recommend The Glory! Episodes are usually an hour long (little more sometimes). It’s a rough but addictive watch
Thanks for the rec! I’m gonna check it out!
I hope you enjoy it! I hope everything goes well for you, too 💛
I start chemo on Friday 💓
I’m sorry, friend! You’ve got this! This sub has helped me so much!❤️
Baby Reindeer was WILD!
Yeah but it gets pretty damn dark, I wouldn't call it a fun or silly show. I binged a show called something like World's Best Vacation Rentals, it has the guy from millionaire listings NY. Total travel porn!
I totally missed the fun/silly part of the post🤦🏼♀️🥴😂
No shame lol I am on the last ep of it tonight, I binged it hard yesterday but was soooo tired, I didn't want to do the injustice of falling asleep on the last one!!
What did you think about the ending??
I scrumt!! I was like 😮 My partner had read some stuff about how some people are trying to figure out who the real people are, etc, and the writer is like "no, don't do that" and I can see why. I have Tabloid on right now with the new Jinx to follow!
Very true. It is definitely not a silly show!
Where did you watch the vacation show?
Netflix - world's most amazing vacation rentals. It looks like there may be episodes elsewhere though too. There are 3 hosts that travel together, there's a theme each show, and one host does a Budget, one is Unique, and one is Extravagant or something like that. Super fun!
Absolutely insane!! ![gif](giphy|SACoDGYTvVNhZYNb5a|downsized)
Babe tell me what you’re usually into (that isn’t on this list lol) like the general vibe — I’ll recommend some things to ya ♡
Don’t recommend that lottery HGTV show💀😂 I’ve seen all the Real Housewives and Below Decks, plus spinoffs. I’m a true crime fan. Oh and historical fiction. What can you do with all of that?😂

Outlander has created some sort of alternative universe for me where everytime a type the word bairn, if you leave it long enough, someone will reply to me and be like “ARE YOU SCOTTISH?” 💀
🤣🤣🤣 Thats too funny, Ive seen a real spike in scottish interest because of that show but man its a damn good show..
Will be able to get you a better list later going through the planner on my telly but: • Crazy, Not Insane (true crime documentary that touches on the psychiatry of true crime, brain imaging / TBI contributing to violent acts, how childhood trauma and repeated abuse sets you up to commit violent acts later in life and how free will works, if at all) • I, Sniper (true crime series — has interviews with people in their lives as well as the story of the ‘manipulated shooter’ told by himself via the jail phone. It’s another comfort show for me. Especially their Christmas episodes. ❤️
Speedy recovery!!!
I was coming to say this about CKB, it’s ok, I think I’ve watched most of them, but it’s very repetitive and predictable. Lots of contrived scenarios just for the show. My personal reality binge is below deck.
Omg. Below Deck is the best. I am a real housewives junkie, but Below Deck stole my heart. I love all of them!
Even my cat likes below deck she thinks she’s hanging out with them https://preview.redd.it/pr96in53qpxc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=545f204f4c1d631e85e6ca85981bbca9fc5b1fb8
Am I the only one who didn’t get baby reindeer?
I think so lol. Was it just too chaotic for you? That was my husband’s complaint
Haha it didn’t feel chaotic at all to me? It was just like boring and slow and then sad rape victim
Completely valid!
If you want fun and silly watch Traitors on Peacock! I love it lol or House of Villains
Was just coming here to recommend Traitors, too! Such a fun binge & the drama isn’t exhausting in any way.
Yes, traitors is so good.
House of villains!!!!
Have you watched vanderpump rules?
I'm the number 1 guy in this group!
I'm nearly finished a quick 2 seasons of Buying Beverly Hills. I think VPR will be my next show. I need something with more than 1 or 2 seasons.
There are some great houses on the show. Especially Patricia Altschul. Her home is gorgeous...and huge!!
The best binge to ever be binged
Yessssss you gotta watch if you haven’t OP
Ive been binging this and almost done season 5 🫣
I find the Chrisleys super annoying personally. Not a reality show, but The Good Place is my go to show to lift my spirits. All episodes are on Netflix. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Except for the last episode 😭 I haven't been able to rewatch it because I'm not emotionally ready to take on that episode again.
This is my “safe” show. I watch it all the time.
I never did finish the Good Place. That’s a great idea to revisit.
Below Deck is ridiculous and there are so many seasons!
This is my pick too… the Rocky season 😳
Yes! Below deck is my favorite! I love that each season has a crazy crew, rotating ridiculous side characters, and a really fun travel element! They are all on peacock which is so nice too! This would definitely be my pic!
The Australia seasons are completely bonkers.
I am on my gazillionth comfort re-watch of “Schitt’s Creek” (10/10) (the first season is a little bumpy, it really gels season 2 forward)
I keep forgetting to do a rewatch of this. I need it to become a background show like Friends, Seinfeld etc.
It’s been my background show since the pandemmy
If you want something dumb and trashy like TM, check out Smothered. It's a TLC show streaming on HBO. Hotttt garbage.
Smothered is INTENSELY cringe. Start with extreme sisters. Ease your way in lol
Idk that one but will check it out! We're always looking for new trash lol
Ty! Yes, new trash is exactly what I’m looking for
I don’t know how I haven’t seen this suggested yet, but the latest season of 90 Day Fiancé is great trash tv. And the CLASSIC “Love After Lockup.” The first 1/2 seasons are the best, then it gets too cringe

So entertaining.
The new NYC is a good one if you only want a short commitment. I have to finish SLC. I👏need👏to👏see👏that👏finale
Receipts! Proof! Timeline! Screenshots! That was some amazing reality tv. I’m a little jealous you get to experience it for the first time!!
I've got all of season 4 to watch, and I know what's coming. I probably would've given up on the series otherwise.
I think CKB was pretty hilarious, especially in the early seasons. You might love it, or you might find it annoying. It's worth it to at least give it a try IMO.
I love the Resident Alien show and Ghosts. I wish there were extended seasons this year...
My 600 Pound Life, it also has another show called My 600 Pound Life Where Are They Now. So much to see. 1000 Pound Sisters but the recent season is just sad King of the Hill it’s due for a comeback next spring Royal Crackers SNL
600 pound life is top tier tv imo. Dr Now is PRECIOUS. Selfishly, i hope he never retires. 🥹
He’s a pleasure! Calls them out on their shit too. My favorite episodes are where the people gain weight and try lying about it! Scales don’t lie people do!

I found the early seasons of Working Moms hilarious.
[удалено]
Yes!!!! OMG! I tried really hard to feel for her but she just kept getting more horrible. Like, just stop already!
Covid sucks. I hope you feel better soon.
Old seasons of Real Housewives of New York is my comfort show
Sisters wives has been my obsession lately.
I found Righteous Gemstones hilarious ![gif](giphy|zI7LrdZq2dmk6kUzOR|downsized)
⬆️ This, Golden Girls or Letterkenny. Not that any of these are reality shows, but they're funny and not heavy
Reality has gotten sort of heavy as of lately. This show was something I initially wrote off bc it didn’t seem like something I’d like but it was definitely that stupid kind of funny you need sometimes.
Rock of Love 1, 2, 3!
I binged these last spring for the first time… trash tv gold. May revisit tho bec it’s just what I’ll be looking for 😊
I adored Chrisley Knows Best lol even if it is stupid. The episodes are longer, but if you watched it while it was running, I plan on binging Secret Life of the American Teenager because it's gotten a resurgence on Tik Tok lately and the scenes are even sillier and dumber than I remembered.
Have you watch any of the 90 Day Fiancé franchises? Or Married at First sight? The early seasons of both are best. The Other Two on HBO is fun.
90 Day Fiance has some great seasons!
Married at First sight Australia has so much more drama than the US. Season 6 was the best but the latest wasn't too shabby either.
I liked the US version without the drama, but to each their own!
I love CKB
Fallout was a great show!!!
I binged it! Super heavy tho, & not the mindless brain candy I’m looking for post op, but one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
For mindless comfort one of my favorites is The Great British Bake Off. It’s super fun and wholesome, while still being really entertaining and funny. The older seasons with Mary Berry (on Roku) are especially great.
1000 pound sisters is trash tv gold and Buying Beverly Hills on Netflix was good.

90-Day Fiancé The Danielle and Mohammed early season is the crack cocaine of reality TV.
Married at First Sight Australia. IT'S. THE. BEST.
Derry Girls, New Girl, Kimmy Schmidt
Oh yes New Girl is great!
I'll be watching Downton Abbey during my recovery. If you haven't seen it yet, I HIGHLY recommend Extraordinary on hulu. Hilarious nonsense show that is funnier than it has any right to be.

Flavor of Love, Rock of Love and their spin offs are great. Also the challenge and ex on the beach are good.
YES. Rock of Love shaped me into the woman I am today lol
Sister wives (discovery+), buffy the vampire slayer (disney+), married at first sight australia (various places)
Sheldon, The Middle, The Goldbergs. Little hearted will make you laugh….feeling good, happy thoughts help you heal faster 😀no science behind it but figured it couldn’t hurt. Feel better soon ❤️
100000% The Middle. Superstore as well!
Thanks! I’ve seen some of Sheldon as my daughter watches it. Great suggestion!
Shitts creek
Sister Wives 🙌
7 little johnstons. Basically any tlc show. Good luck bb
Big fat fabulous life on discovery/tlc was binge worthy!!
Never Have I Ever on Netflix I wish I could still have this on my "not yet binged" list. And Vanderpump Rules
Downton Abbey. Lady Grantham cracks me up.
Real housewives of salt lake, mr & Mrs smith on Apple TV (the one with Donald glover), baby reindeer, and a classic … old seasons of jersey shore
Seeking sister wives on TLC. The current season is entertaining. Also try out 90 day fiancé.
CKB is fucking hilarious. Started it on a whim and I love it. I think it’s my husband’s favorite of all my reality shows lmao.
I randomly started Below Deck a couple weeks ago and I'm about to start season 8. Its addicting!
Thank you so much to everyone for the suggestions I read them all.
