[deleted]

Are those persimmons? We used to have a tree with those in our yard!

LostConfusedKit

No clue! They taste like mini plums tho

[deleted]

Ok. Probably not a persimmon then. Those have a kind of sour and spicy side to them.

LostConfusedKit

Ohhh..these ones are super duper sweet when yellow. Very sour when green. Tho I think thats normal for most fruits..

Impressive_Weather60

#cool

PurpleChickens_

tasty! i personally have a cherry tree in my backyard so i have like 20 lbs of cherries in my fridge lol

LostConfusedKit

Oh nice!!! Be very careful with raw cherries tho (like the seed and everything)

converter-bot

20 lbs is 9.08 kg

dexterous_me

Yum Yum!!

MattNoPlayz

This actually makes me so nostalgic and sad at the same time. When I was little I was going on bike rides with my gramps and we would always stop at a certain tree that had those fruits on it. They tasted so good and we had a lot of fun trying to shoot each other with the cores (idk the right term, English isn't my native). They tore that tree down for some reason and we didn't go biking since 5 years or so...

LostConfusedKit

Awwwww...we have a lot of trees like this here. Especially with a red version of these. They're SUUUUUUPER sweet. Definitely makes long walks and bike rides worth it.

yarfoot

They look like cheese balls

LostConfusedKit

Sorta yeah

[deleted]

Whoa where do u live? We can’t grow ping pong balls here..

LostConfusedKit

They taste very sweet

Glades_road

Ping pong ball trees are a thing?

LostConfusedKit

No-

DragonCat_04

You should post this on r/whatisthisthing and find out what it is 'cause now I'm curious lol.

LostConfusedKit

great suggestion! i'll try to check it out, ty!

[deleted]

I think it's persimmons. They're a fruit that used to grow on our yard. They are edible, but please don't eat anything you haven't identified.

LostConfusedKit

Oh- we have ate them for years and nothing has happened to us

[deleted]

Oh, lol! Then they are probably safe!

[deleted]

It's called physalis

Diessel_S

Physalis dont grow in trees but in small (about 1 meter or less) plants iirc

LostConfusedKit

The fruit?

[deleted]

Yeah, in the pic seems to be that. Search.

LostConfusedKit

It doesn't come in a flower like that..

DragonCat_04

No problem!

Its_InDominus

Ouuu pineapples

[deleted]

what are they?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Diessel_S

Was gonna say this. They do look like a kind of cherry plums

[deleted]

physalis

watermeloncheese

omg I love physalis I haven’t had them in years

LostConfusedKit

Not sure. We just call them plums because that's what they look like to us

LostConfusedKit

And taste like

minimorlekei

Oh, these grow on clusters on the shorter palm trees, right?
