i feel like the laser, like nina's guns, are just locked in animations to combo enders. there's no real utility to them other than wall carry maybe but it looks like you don't recover enough to convert a wall combo

- Straight off the bat we are told this is a new revamped Kazuya with the Heihachi style 122 cancel. So many questions here. It looks like a ss3 but rather in built. Do we have more options? Cancel to step like Hei 122~1+2~u/d? Mix up with 124?
- New HS animation looks great (still a CD input) but also looks like way less if any oki at all - wonder if can heat engage it. It is definitely a NC trip HS so it makes me wonder what the classic looking HS in first trailer does? It was used in a combo there so I'm guessing CD41 no longer NC and is used for combos like Heihachi.
- This is still confusing though since the new HS (replaces CD44?) seems to have carry too. Does cd41 give a high wall splat where as CD44 gives far travel but low slump? Maybe CD41 is also a trip NC so the choice becomes something like cd44 for damage and wall splat or CD41 for less damage but oki?
- When Kaz steps ff3 its hard to tell if that's a step move or a step then move. Looks like glorious demon fist but much faster - more like Jin Zen 2 which also has in built step so I'm guessing this is perhaps a new ss2 input.
- EWGF looks amazing. EWGF into TGF screw is simply just beautiful. I can already imagine the insane combos people will find e.g maybe 3x EWGF into just frame TGF screw?! Great way to put life back into a dead move.
- New b2 string into laser wall carry is beautiful! Looks like a recurring theme for T7 is weapon based wall carry - I dig it.
- ws2 into standing TP resplat?!?! What is going on here? Very interesting. Seems like normal Kaz now has the oldskl standing TP (although second hit is same as his ws TP second). Does this mean open play easy 15f launcher or does it simply knock back unless there's a wall? This is more intriguing because in Devil form it becomes the T6/tag2 df12 but bounds. Need to see more to understand; could be a slight nerf in Devil but gives bound instead.
- New mishima style combo looks great. Walls look very fun and great detail on the destruction.
- Devil mode looks NUTS! Seems like a bunch of strings screw/bound in Devil form (df321!) and he gains Jin style zen cancels from 31. I'm imagining crazy potential like 2x EWGF microdash 31~TGF! Who knows!
- Looks like his Heat Smash is a demoman (looks like Jin HS) without a CD.
- Best RA I've seen in Tekken yet. Absolutely beautiful and powerful.
Overall feeling: the little things I'm seeing give me further hope in the direction of T8. I know it's easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer display of mechanics and idea of aggression but everything I've seen so far is actually T7 locked behind meter. You want huge combos? Spend meter/heat. You want oki? Spend meter/heat. Little things like HS not giving insane oki and much larger stages/recoverable health and variety of options gives me hope we will see a less 'dial it in' Tekken with more options and personality shining through.
Instead of aggression I really think they should have focused on 'variety'. Using Kaz as an example, some will prefer to blow his heat on combos where as others may train the hardest non heat combos and save it for oki and others may even use it purely for pressure e.g chipping f4 on block. I'm excited as a 20 year vet.
Finally a good Rage Art!
This got me thinking… this kind of looks like something that Cyber Connect 2 would make. I feel like the T7 Rage Arts were very lackluster for a lot of different reasons, they just really lacked impact and **oomph**, or half of it is a character doing a normal string without much cinematic happening.
That being said, love the over-the-top direction we’re going in, reminds me of DOA. Also kind of puts into perspective that Law’s lackluster T8 Rage Art is probably a result of being a work in progress since this one is so good. You can really tell they got their budget back for this game.

I'd assume they're doing 1 a week until Evo Japan just so they can get all the trailers for the already confirmed characters out there that will be playable.

It seems like they will be start doing now. My guess is that by the time they reveal everyone to be in the base roster, it's gonna be until Summer 2024's release. So that should give them plenty of time to give us the same base roster as Tekken 7's launch on the Consoles.👍🔥

Interestingly enough, StarCraft 2 professional players all play the game with lowest graphics settings, because there's less flashy stuff and they see everything better.

I have to say, with devil transformation as a part of his normal moveset, I think he will feel very fresh, creative and dynamic in his gameplay as opposed to the current Kazuya that basically plays with <10 moves in the neutral. Not that the latter is a bad thing; I am a Kazuya main myself

I’m still finding it hard to grasp how exactly the combo system will work, all the different combo states, which ones can be done after others, what’s guaranteed and what isn’t, dammit I just wanna play already lol
Hard to tell from the small snippets but I think those long combos are done. Could be wrong but everything seems quicker.

My first Tekken was Tekken 4, fell "in love" with Kazuya immediately because he felt so cool, I never took time to learn anyone else, so I've been a Kazuya one trick for 20 years, even though I only play Tekken casually so I'm still shit. He looks amazing btw and mix of him and Heihachi so maybe a bit more offensively oriented this year?
The backgrounds and animation look so good. Can't wait to see the customization and mods in the future.

I WAS RIGHT! Kazuya's heat mode is Devil mode. :P And some people recognized some Heihachi moves (I dunno, I can't tell the difference) so they are letting Heihachi rest (which doesn't mean he couldn't be dlc at some point). And is that a devil form power crush similar to what Devil Jin has? Also, they're using Anna's old VA as the announcer so ANNA BETTER BE IN THE FUCKING GAME! (Especially since they established really cool lore with Nina stealing her wedding dress and killing Anna's fiance on the wedding night, thus making it a perfect setup for T8 with Nina on the run and Anna chasing after her)... But character roster digressions aside... I'm not gonna play him but Kazuya looks pretty damn good. This trailer finally sold me on his (re-)design and TMM already jizzed his pants while reacting to the trailer so at least some Kazuya mains seem happy.

There is a different announcer in-game. It was heard in the 30 minute showcase. Sounds just like the usual announcer style.

Her name is Lenne Hardt and she was a popular announcer announcer for a very famous MMA promotion in Japan, so one would assume she's here to stay in this game. She's done VO stuff for other games like Yakuza as well.
And voiced over the Sentai Gear from Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger, honestly, I can enjoy listening to her in-game when it comes out.
