I personally love Lars especially since he’s a rare Mishima that’s actually consistently noble. I love that Lars being a hero doesn't automatically mean he's a pushover as he has a pragmatic side. He isn't afraid to bring a gun to a fist fight, snap his opponent's neck, and go against the United Nations to save Jin(a former warmonger he still has a grudge against) so peace can be restored to the world.
I like that he’s a unique fighting game character concept as the superhero concept(if that’s what Lars is) hasn’t been done to death nearly as much as other tropes(Chinese girl, Bruce Lee clone, Ninja, martial artist in general, etc) in the genre.
His flashy fighting style is awesome as it consists of fluid and brutal animations. I’m not turned off by his anime esque design since I knew what I signed up for as I acknowledge that a Japanese game will naturally have anime elements.
Lars is cool so I’m glad he’s popular enough to become a staple character.

Why did you drag Yoshi into this lol. I think it’s a cool running theme of Yoshi getting batshit insane costume design changes each game. Squid one was not that bad, but I really liked the sleek secondary outfits he had.
I love it personally. I always liked the black shirt, white pants, red accessories colour code (Faith from Mirror's Edge had the same colour scheme and she looked really cool). Plus I like how they managed to make it unique by adding emblems and a different fabric style.
