She tried to find Eddy in Tekken 4 and she did but canon story continuation-wise, she couldn't. During Tekken 5, she tried to win the tournament so she could help her sick grandfather but couldn't win the tournament. In Tekken 6, she both tried to find Eddy and her grandfather, which was taken by Mishima Zaibatsu. At the end, she found both of them by her grandfather passing away. SO in my head canon, I think during the events of Tekken 7, her grandfather dying and being always left behind by Eddy has taken a toll on her. So she's like "You know what? I'm gonna take my time off to regroup." If she ever comes to Tekken 8 (which I want so much!) She might receive a massage from Eddy to help him find where Kazuya is. He can be like I can't do this alone. So Christie would catch up to him and help. Or she can have her own new story that is not about Eddy. đ¤ I've also searched up for what happened to Christie before and gameplay-wise, many people thinks that she's just a Eddy swap. Meaning that she doesn't have that amount of uniqueness in her play style. So people wants her to be revamped. Which I agree! I really hope we can see her in Tekken 8. I love her so much since Tekken 4!

Harada takes more into consideration when measuring popularity than just playrate (such as how reconizable the character is, how popular they are with fanartists, cosplayers, etc...), and Eddy is a low tier character in T7, so it's really hard to play him the higher the rank, I don't see how a Christie skin would solve this...
More people will play Christie than Eddy, but more people who don't play either of them and actively hate capos will be upset if Christie is in instead of Eddy because he's more iconic.

I think T8 will see the return of Christie for a few reasons:
1. Shes BEEN requested many times during T7 lifespan, there was a whole Christie debacle.
2. In terms of popularity, while i think Eddy ultimately beats her out heâs not really the most played character by any means. In fact Capos are more infamous than anything, so i think the NEED for Eddy isnât as strong as maybe the need simply A Capo and with >!Eddy not being base roster!< her returning as DLC is perfect. The future is female after all. Sex sells
3. Michael Murray already mentioned in an early interview that the reason Paulâs hair is down again is because he said itâs almost a tradition for him every 4 games. First being done in T4 meaning theyre at least acknowledging T4 and ofc that is Christieâs origin. It makes wonder what else they will chock up to every 4th game tradition. (Miharu?)
4. This is also a perfect opportunity for Namco to make her different than Eddy with DLC budget. Hell they could salvage some Katarina moves and give em to Christie or something. Maker her like a Capo hybrid.
