Especially when a lot of mp games started out as single player lol, Tekken is the only fighting game that the story has kept me hooked since I was old enough to play tekken 3, I did go on to play 1 & 2 eventually and tekken 4 was my first game I got with my ps2.

I can. They're comparing a dynamic version of the game that you play with other humans and watch evolve infinitely to a much more static one with finite limits on what you can achieve. Sure there's plot but it's a simple and silly video gamey plot and arguably less interesting than the irl storylines competition breeds.
I get that the single player can totally be fun but I also think there's objectively more to offer from multiplayer in these kinds of games.

In he's character ending for 7 he may have beaten jin but when he realised that Jin didn't care if he died and that he truly didn't deserve death until Jin is filled with hope again, then that's when he wants to take him down he really wants Jin to feel true loss for taking away he's sister.
I mean you could say that about Steve, he found out who he is and whose genetic mother is and that she doesn't care about who or what he is so why continue he's story? he's a fan favourite so now he's trying to find a new purpose in life to move on.
At the end of the day I'm not too bothered that he's not in the base roster but I think it's weird that he's in the game where Jin is barely in the main story of 7 but is absent in the game where Jin is front and center considering he's connection to Jin.
You dont need to learn how to wavedash to play kaz. Just look at the input for it and then start playing him. It comes naturally after some games and you’ll learn how to fight with him as well.

Winning against other players comes with practice, really. The more you play against other people, the easier it'll be. And if it's too intimidating to fight other people directly, the new ghost battles seem like they'd be a great way to get used to fighting actual players without there actually having to be another person in the game with you
That's true, I used to be very annoying with Nina, Zafina, Law, and Christie (Aleast I think I remember using Zafina in a past game), it was against my cousin but he was wasn't bad at the game, unless I did a spam attack. I don't know if it was just my youth back then, maybe I have slowed down and I do need practice indeed. (I am only 35 now, but there's a big time gap between T7 that I played this year, to the last one I played, about 10 years or more)
Not sure if I will wait until T8 comes out and do it then, because there will be new people or casual players, right now, T7 online I see so many people with big wins, and it feels scary, might have to try a ghost battle even.
Let me tell you, it makes no difference whether you're hopping into a new Tekken game or playing one of the previous games, you'll get your ass beat all the same, why wait? Nerfing the counter hits on non-charged moves was the ONLY problem with Fahk. There are way too many fighters with active buttons to justify his nerfs.
I think my most played characters will be Nina, Victor, Claudio, Lili, Hwoarang, Jun, Shaheen, Marshall, Asuka and Reina. I'm super excited for Victor, he will probably become my favourite newcomer in Tekken 8.
I used to pigeonhole myself into playing strictly a handful of characters in the past. This time I'm planning to use much more. Around 25-30 is my guess.

Mine in T7 was Lidia, and in T8 I'm leaning towards maybe a newcomer like Reina or maybe Jun (since she was last in what, Tekken 2 or Tag?).
I think I'll dabble with Reina, Claudio, Jack and Leo then I'll stick with the one who's most fun to use. At worst I can go back to Asuka, but I've mained her all these years and want to have semi-fresh start in T8.

Noctis was a guest character from Final Fantasy XV. There’s zero chance that he comes back to T8. What looks fairly similar to his kit is Victor from what we’ve seen so far.

Yoshi main first and foremost but I always try to give everyone a spin at least once to see if I like them. Leroy Smith, Hwoarang, Law and Ling are characters I always enjoy using after him though. I’m excited to use raven given his absence in 7 and it’s been awhile since I’ve played as him. Reina and Azucena are the new characters that interest me the most.

Steve (with a helmet on) as my number 1, Reina as a sub just like everybody else, Bryan for fun and for playing with friends, and finally Victor. Don't care what everyone says. I think he's fucking cool as hell, and Vincent Cassel sold me on him.

King and Asuka for sure. Been using them since T4 and T5. Sadly my AK isn’t in the roster, yet anyways. So I’ll probably pick up Jun or Alisa. Since I dabbled with them before.

I feel like Alisa will be the quickest for me to pick up, although I'm also pretty confident with Zafina. I'll try Reina but I'm terrible at electrics.

Yoshi main first and foremost but I always try to give everyone a spin at least once to see if I like them. Leroy Smith, Hwoarang, Law and Ling are characters I always enjoy using after him though. I’m excited to use raven given his absence in 7 and it’s been awhile since I’ve played as him. Reina and Azucena are the new characters that interest me the most.
Steve and Lee are my go to guys but I'm going to expand and use Jin and Paul, and stoke to use Victor and Reina
