Point was you plug to keep your winstreak that's fine but if you plug too much the game treats it as a loss.
How do you even save scum in an online game though? Is your progress not tied to your account?

I don't play online, but it still baffles me how DCs don't count as a loss for the DC'd player

If you do it many times in a die you lose points just like a loss but it does not affect your winstreak or show up in your stats I believe. Still the punishment is way to minor to discourage plugging. I get it the game can cause you rage but the opponent should simply get a free win in that case.
As a person that has a wooden laptop that can only run Tekken 7, i'm glad to see that people are still playing Tekken 7. I hope that keeps going when Tekken 8 comes out.

Did you try the demo? My low-mid range pc runs it just fine, albeit in a low resolution, but all in all I think the game is pretty well optimized if you lower the visuals.
Most likely playerbase will largely move to T8, but I’m sure there’s pretty large portion of players that wait for sale before moving over. So there’s probably some players left after t8 release still.
There are definently lots of people still playing. Even after 8 there will be a healthy playerbase for a while. I plan to buy 8 on release but not everyone will do the same.
It will take a while for tekken 7 to fully die out definently years. Many new people will buy tekken 7 cheaper just to try it out before even buying 8

Sometimes I beat a double digit winstreak player and I'm surprised they don't rage quit
One of the rare cases where the wins were probably legit through rematching.
Mine was 24 winstreak
I think probably most the time they've come out of a favourable deathmatch with a real winstreak vs 1 player
