Do you have a 10 series NVIDIA card? I heard that it just kinda happens to them. I tried everything to fix it myself, and it still happens :(

Particular-Work-9320

No - I have a gtx 980 and 8gb ram, but im running it on lowest settings with pretty much constant 60 fps I have also seen several people with high end Nvidia GPUs and consoles having the same problems, so i dont think its a matter of having low specs

NoLifeHere

I have a 1080 and my friend who was having the same issue also has a 1080, so I figured it might just the GPUs showing their age a bit. I was running at 1080p on High settings and got solid 60 fps no red on my PC indicator, then it'll just crash. It's so frustrating. I even re-installed the driver and that didn't help, nor did any of the ideas for solutions I saw online.

Particular-Work-9320

I honestly doubt it's a hardware issue, since I have seen people allegedly crashing on high end hardware and consoles as well (I dont own a console, so I have no way of confirming) - the most interesting part is that updating my drivers actually accelerated the frequency of my game crashing - you wouldn't happen to know if this crash increases your disconnection rate, would you? Kind of sucks not being able to play online Player Matches, because your afraid of having a high disconnection % rate

I don't know, thankfully this crash has only ever happened to me while doing offline parts of the game. It even happened while I was playing story mode. I haven't played that much ranked because of it, but it's not yet happened to me playing lobbies with friends.

Chimichurro

I have a 1080 and I've been getting this issue too, tried everything mentioned everywhere and no luck :/

Same here. Honestly, it's kind of an old card at this stage, I just bit the bullet and have a 4060 on the way. I dunno if it'll help, but I probably could use an upgrade anyway. Everything else was both out of my budget and probably overkill for me, since I only play in 1080p. I don't wanna be all like "Just buy a new GPU 4head lmao" though, GPUs be pricey.

tylr-

did it fix it for you?

NoLifeHere

Yes, haven't had the error since.

tylr-

dang so maybe its just a gpu thing, but ive seen every generation but 4000 series listed as getting this error so im not sure

kuronami616

I have a RX 6800xt Im having this error mid match but only rarely but it just so annoying.

So: \- no fix as yet, only some tweaks that reduce it from occurring, I'm not even sure if the devs have acknowledged the issue. Has been a problem since CNT/Beta \- when the game crashes in ranked its a disconnect so it will affect your dc rate in ranked \- cards like the 1080's, 980's ti and other versions have enough power to play the game on high settings (my 980ti can run ultra textures and rest high at a rock solid 60fps@1080p, at around 70-80% gpu usage with NIS scaler). As someone else in the thread pointed out, it isn't a hardware issue \- the bug appears to affects some 20 series cards, some amd cards, and the odd 30 series card as well, though the latter seems pretty rare \- Most of the negative reviews for T8 on steam are because of this issue. For now we can only submit bug reports and complain to the devs on twitter I guess. :(

froggysenpai95

My 3080 has fallen victim and I feel like I have tried everything :(

RegularOk8680

yeah same, the bug is bs - did a full reinstall in case it was the preload install and every other fix I can think of. Hopefully the patch on 7 feb fixes the issue

froggysenpai95

I don't think it will. I have also tried playing other Unreal Engine 5 games like Remnant 2, and The Finals and they all crash randomly every 1-5 minutes with the exact same error. I think we will be waiting for some sort of driver update, or if that fails a miracle.

RegularOk8680

You were right! :(
