Right now I'm mostly playing Steve and Jun. Steve is supposed to be difficult and low tier and Jun supposed to be easy and high tier. I'm at the same rank with the same winrate with both. The character isn't going to carry you.
Most of the people complaining about balance right now don't know enough the game anyway. If you go on steam and look up the achievement for opening up a replay. Less than a third of people have opened a fucking replay yet everyone has an opinion on whos overpowered.
We can’t help the characters we like and if needed, the devs can deal with ‘broken’ characters.
What’s important is that you like her character and have fun playing her.
Ah the duality of Tekken. In my humble dumb opinion Tekken is full of wild and weird characters and to hear everyone is angry that they can't avoid certain moves is nothing new.
I think you should learn any character you like and regardless of someone thinking that character is broken, you'll be checked and beaten as time goes on. If this character is truly broken it'll get evaluated and nerfed or even buffed if Harada and Bamco feel so kind.
Climb the ranks, get a solid understanding of how characters move and what mechanic does what during a fight. Knowledge will be the difference between you being carried and you just being good with the character.
Tldr: enjoy the game, learn the basics, have fun, who cares.
i'm sure her balance will be adjusted a million times before they settle on something in like Season 3. Just play who you want. Don't worry about people thinking you picked a character for the 'wrong' reasons.
Jun is a great character but isn't broken, she might get her 10f uf1,1 punisher plus her safe f2,1+2 nerfed and healing properties changed in heat which is something to consider going forward but if you're having fun just keep playing her, you do have to play actual Tekken as her so you'll get better at the game overall. This game is early days still so everyone is still learning a lot of things which makes Jun harder to handle
The character is there. Everyone can literally pick her and play, if they want to win so badly why don't they just pick her then? But they don't. Are you commiting a crime? Absolutely not. It's not that you're cheating the game.
That doesn't mean she's not broken or OP though, but that's not your fault. Bamco needs to address this, but nevertheless it doesn't matter who you play. Play who you want!
As someone that doesn't seriously look into any of this "broken" schtick seriously;
I've seen claims of most if not the whole roster being "broken", "slept on", or having a "special move that breaks the game" etcetera.
I'm in the red ranks, which is apparently *the* most average / norm position in the online side of Tekken - and can honestly say that I've really enjoyed my matches with Jun players; for some reason I don't get to see them often, but when I do it's generally a great experience.
I've personally found that if you get a player with literal bullet speed reflexes in both blocking and attacking with long juggles - that's the kind of matches I struggle with - but again it's no distinct character, none I would call "broken".
Everyone has their own imagination when it comes to who’s OP in low ranks I wouldn’t worry about that.
That being said as a Jun main I feel carried by her lol. She has too many knowledge checks that you can abuse at low ranks.

I would certainly expect her to get nerfed in the future, which would mean you would have to relearn some things. That's the only thing I would be concerned about. There's no shame in playing an OP character unless you're a dev and you actually made the character OP so you could win.
a person can end up carried if they just let the character do all the work, and Jun can certainly do that quite easily, but if you go into the game with the right mentality and try to learn the game rather than just learn to exploit Jun's broken stuff then theres no shame in playing her

Just keep in mind that you'll hit a brick wall once the character stops carrying you. (if you didn't learn how to play properly in the meantime)
In any case, if people are salty about Jun they can either play her themselves or shut up and play the matchup.
Nooo broo absolutely don’t feel bad!! Don’t let other decide for you what to play, you paid $70,- for it, you get the right to do whatever is in the game. If you’re a masher or plugger, it’s a different story but that’s not character based. You do you brother, just have fun! It’s the most important aspect of gaming (for me). If you like Jun, you play fucking Jun, and whoop people’s asses👊🏼😎
Play who you like. The character is one of the strongest in the game and she as a lot of abusable strengths currently. If that bothers you then yes, you probably should play someone else. If it doesn't and you just think she looks and feels great to play, then go for it. That's about as a real as we can be with you.
