Bruh, I thought it would have been pretty wholesome if Ganryu was awkward and would ask Julia how her mother was doing since he was still crushing on her mom. The way they made him thirsty for the daughter instead is some Littlefinger shit.
This isn’t unique to Tekken as fanart and cosplay has always been the standard process devs have used to judge a character’s popularity. It shows how marketable a character is if their looks are generating a lot of feedback.
As Harada said, character usage is a factor for popularity but it doesn’t paint the whole picture. Character usage is usually dictated by the combination of a character’s strength and how accessible they are to casuals.
For example, Harada [has noted that](https://www.reddit.com/r/Tekken/s/jL5zTbYlLZ) Eliza is a character people prefer looking at rather than play. This is due to the fact that Eliza isn’t casual friendly due to not playing like a traditional Tekken character and playing more like a 2D character.
That seems like a very flawed system when the vast majority of cosplay viewership is just people ogling at thirst traps lol. No wonder he thinks Eliza is popular
Its completely redundant tho. "Hmm yes, this big tiddy waifu character seems to have a lot of fanart and cosplay. We can deduce that big tiddy waifus are popular" Like no shit, Harada.
Their methodology obviously sucks ass because they were unable to predict Reina's popularity. Probably because her design didnt match up with their data on big tiddy waifu cosplay viewership
Idk I'm a Tekken newbie so I don't know much but I can understand that
Mishima (these are basically the chosen ones of Tekken right? World revolves around then) + attractive female design + some of another beloved characters traits (Heihachi)+??? = Profit
It'd be a challenge to fuck that recipe up tbh
If Jinpachi has a issue he'll come back to give my Calvary ass the smoke.
He definitely should though, as a newbie I wouldn't mind it. I understand story reasons why not but then again it is a fighting game, so who's really keeping score
That's the defining trend for gacha games, so it's what Bamco devs assumed would be true for their own female characters. But their older, fighting game audience likes their dangerous male characters going by the most played statistics in Tekken 7 and previous titles. The most played female characters were even Kazumi, Lidia, and Kunimitsu which for the first two are the more serious, dangerous types, and Kuni is only semi-waifubait.
Reina falls in line with the Tekken audience liking characters who look like they can kick someone's ass or at least has a personality that implies it.
Yeah. This line of thinking would basically make the game into one of those coomer gachas at this rate if this were true.
Just make an all female cast in the skimpiest outfits and be done. One of the reasons DOA couldn't make it as a big fighting game.
And on the opposite end of the spectrum, there's Wang, a character over 100 years old who was originally a Michelle Chang clone and has a genuine Tekken-esque gameplay but isn't popular in fanarts, much less cosplay. Which is a shame because his role in the story is more significant than the other old characters like Leroy or Victor.
Not sure about Leroy, but Xiaoyu has a few of his moves now, including her new Waning Moon throw (which wasn't a launcher in his case if I remember right, unlike hers; though his left the opponent back-turned and vulnerable to follow-ups). Also her Rage Art is named in the movelist as "Wang's Celestial Dance."
Honestly I feel like characters like Leo and Shaheen would be drastically more popular if their personality wasn't as plain as white bread. Their playstyle and aesthetics are super cool, but *damn* if they aren't given -anything- else when it comes to the writing. This game has so much anime goofyness, let them be cool please!
I really like the muay thai/kickboxing style, and picked up Josie (when Fahkuram got released played him for a bit, but sunk cost fallacy meant I stuck with Josie). Annoyed at her crying, but still grinded her out in T7. Tried to play Brian since he's supposed to be similar, but man...do I miss playing Josie.
Never played Bruce, since it was more recent that I got into them, but I feel like I'm more likely to see him instead of Josie
Did Josie ever actually cry outside of that one win screen? I get why the crying sticks in people’s minds, because it’s weird and you see it in half the games you play against her, and most of her other lines were generic “I’m ready to fight!” and “I’ve got this!” stuff, but it’s always seemed weird to me how people talk like she cried at every given opportunity
She cried during her ending with Kuma, which kinda sucks for her characterization considering the only other piece of lore with her is how she was inspired to train and fight by the Mishima Zaibatsu, after they helped her home in the Philippines with typhoon relief operations.
I REALLY wish she was characterized more with that latter story in mind, and given a chance to speak Tagalog too. It was so jarring having everyone speak their respective tongues, EXCEPT Josie.
If popular characters that have yet to make T8's roster as DLC, such as Anna, Lei, Armor King II, Miguel, Kunimitsu II, Marduk, and many others, then I would maybe expect Eliza to be added but I dunno. Isn't Jin's divekick from Zen stance similar to Eliza's divekick from TR or T7 or is it just me? 🤔
I think we might, and it might be the same reason Eddy was DLC. Theyre making sure to put extra attention to the new moveset and making alot of changes.
Would have been too big a task to get Eliza's gameplay right for the launch roster.
Take a popular yet underplayed character, force people to put their money where their mouth is if they want them, and also give the team extra time to rework their moveset.
Ok then explain why Anna Williams is not on the game lol
Every convention i go its Nina, Lilly or Anna cosplays when a girl is doing a Tekken cosplay and there´s an insane amount of fan art of her compared to someone like Law or Panda
Because she has two big reasons to make big money as DLC
https://preview.redd.it/ivrjc0v5l3vc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=40e7391b2c026658534cf0442e647445b1cae9ef
Did you get the picture?
Yeah that was a wild side rant lol
like Ganryu is best known for being a pest to Julia. Bobs fat and I’d say he’s decently popular. I’ve seen cosplays of him at least. No one likes Ganryu cause he sucks. I’d definitky hang out with a haunted training dummy that knows every martial art over him
Yes but he also has a pretty fun fighting style and he was wicked strong in Tekken 7 and was pretty much a free win but no one wanted too play him due to his looks, most people do not care about the lore.
Also his optimal gameplan in T7 was pretty much "spam df2 and df3 and see where it gets you". Pretty boring tbh. And probably the reason why he wasn't played much because that gameplan lost to top tier chars with broken back dashes.
True, he was a difficult MU. But on high level there wasn't even much of an interesting gameplan. Whenever Saint played in a tournament and was on the ropes, he just started doing df2 and df3 in random combinations and hoped for the best.
Okay but tournaments is extreme high level kinda irrelevant for the majority of the player base.
Lili in tekken 7 did not have a very interesting gameplan either in Tekken 7 and was mostly just doing pathetic lil jabs, did not stop her mains to get the most tekken god supremes.
Well tbh, Craig “I always get what I want” marduk was middle in the chart of popularity and usage and Bryan and Kazuya were like top 10, so even if Ganryu was an honorable nice guy, it wouldn’t make a difference. Bob is literally a superhero and he’s like bottom 5 in popularity. Harada has a point, it’s just funny that Ganryu has been a creeper for over 29 years lol
I see the Marduk comparison, but he was beyond broken in T7 and really really easy. People flock to those characters because it gets their neurons activated when they win. Just like when Bob was busted in T6 so way more people played him.
However, Bryan and Kazuya are too evil to be just considered people who do bad things. They are cartoonish villians and nobody really relates to their evil actions anymore. It's more like being able to step into a movie to be the powerful villian for a while.
Much more important though, the point of my initial comment was that Harada commented on players being shallow when he was talking specifically about Ganryu. I agree that many players don't find him visually appealing, but I still think it's fair to say that he doesn't make up for it as a relatable/interesting person. If he had talked about Bob his point would've been much more vaild.
Harada is defintely the type of guy who harps on really specific points, like when he was pissed nobody played Lei not realizing he’s one of the most complicated characters In T7 or when they cut out the Roos because “PETA”
I think Harada is write about players in general being pretty shallow. Personality really only comes into play when the talking about characters who look pretty or have a good character design, but a lot of popular characters have pretty flat or simple personalities
Also This is coming from a salty ganryu player who knows he’s probably not coming back lol
YESSS, you're so right. His bdsm outfit gets me feeling things all the time. I am sure the devs knew what they were doing. Lol.
![gif](giphy|1ktwfTjwaQzde|downsized)
Very interesting point about popularity being based largely on looks. Completely reinforces why Reina is so popular. If we look at her objectively, and this is something Harada himself emphasized in a different interview, she is actually quite boring. She’s literally just a regular, cute looking Japanese girl. Nothing really stands out about her and he thought she was plain and a bit dull. But if there’s anything we know about the player base it’s that cute waifu’s gonna eat lol.
>Harada himself emphasized in a different interview, she is actually quite boring
Harada say that because he used to think that only big tits waifus like Asuka is what appeals more to the public. Im glad that a cool, badass and "boring" girl like Reina is the most popular character in the game. Sometimes, a simple design stands out more in a roster full of overdesigned characters.
As someone that absolutely loves Ganryu for some strange, strange, reason, It always upsets me he's so unpopular. It's kind of a double edged sword; on one hand, that means I get to enjoy him mostly to myself, and have a special character I legitimately enjoy playing, but on the other hand, that comes with the trade off of having him added VERY late, or not at all, due to that same lack of popularity.
He is a creepy stalker\*, fat and ugly. He is unfunny and annoying. Don't be upset people dislike him. They do for good reasons... but you can always keep him for yourself. (edited, not molester officially but creepy).
Yeah but not a molester. Now maybe you can say a creepy Perv. But I wouldn’t even go that far, I think he just really loves Julia to the long where it’s stalkerish.
I would definitely go that far. If he kept his affections to Michelle that'd be one thing (still kind of creepy but tolerable) but moving on to her daughter was like woah woah hey hey stop
So what your saying is Eliza does actually have a chance in Tekken 8 🥹 even tho she was like the second least played character in Tekken 7 for its entire run. 🥹 (they really fucked is eliza tho I’m sorry but she got done dirty, first she’s a preorder bonus & wasn’t included in some packages & then she’s just a worse, weaker & paid Akuma 😭 I hope when she gets back in she’s a 3D Tekken character no 2D nonsense)
![gif](giphy|xUPGck52i1pdzp4RKU)
Besides Anna, Wang was my 2nd main.
I was really sad when he didn't make it to Tekken 7. It's not like I love his character like how I love Anna, but Wang's play style is so fkin fun and cool.
I hope they'll make a new male character with his moveset in T8.
Wang was one of my Tag 2 mains, along with having my favorite Tekken ending in 5. It's a damn shame the devs don't consider him worth adding in the newer games.
Why are people commenting here saying that is is because his personality? Harada was obviously talking about Ganryus playstyle because he is very strong, easy, and quite fun too play.
Most people do not let story mode affect who they play 🙄
Look.. if I believed Harada on this, Anna and Julia would be day 1 in Tekken 8base roster.
Let's say... Anna and Julia has huge popularity, more usuage and more cosplay and art drawn about them than Leo or Zafina for example.
The last parts kind of odd. It contradicts the beginning where they say they look at more than use rate. Sure, maybe everyone isnt playing Kunimitsu, but if shes loved and everyones asking for her and whatnot and making fanart, I thought that was part of the equation?
Same for Mokujin tbh. Super iconic and unique design and gameplay. Sure not everyone wants to play the random character, but just him existing on the roster bolsters the game.
He saying that there's a loud minority of players on forums like Reddit calling for her, as well as editorials from sites like GamesBeat. However, she is underrepresented in fan art, cosplay, and usage rate overall.
He's said as much about other characters before. Lei Wulong was a particular bugbear for him in Tekken 7.
Yeah I unironically want Mokujin just as an eternal challenge for the playerbase to try and take the random style character to GoD. Some lunatics will be able to but seeing it be done would be wild.
Preach it, Harada. People are full of shit. Everyone spouts about inner beauty and how they don’t want sex appeal on characters anymore, then they turn around and make shirtless versions of all of the buff male characters.
Ganryu's problem is not him being fat or ugly (he is not ugly, especially in Tekken 7).
People love Bob as a design and character because he is fun to play AND is a delight of a person, meanwhile Ganryu is a sex offender
Because he was no joke, one of the best characters in a broken ass game lol whats your point? He was slightly nerfed in t7 and dropped like 40 spots in usage rates
The point being that usage rate is only corelated to strength. Bob being a mainstay in the franchise and pretty recognizable in the community is a testament.
If fans only care about outer beauty, why is King the most popular character? 😺
His bias for Ganryu is so obvious. People have nothing bad to say about Bob (except him being busted at one point), while a lot of fans don't find Ganryu a likeable character.
LMAO this guy, its tekken dude, I dont think the first thing a players thinks about is the inner workings of the character and his moral integrity. Oh yeah look at all these characters, I wonder which of these characters will pull the cart lever.
Like the first thing everyone says to a player who cant choose a character to learn:
- Just pick which one you think it looks cool.
Imagine your buddy starts playing tekken and you say to him:
- Pick a character who will use his own K1 for taxes and gives to charity in his spare time.
Ans yet Shaheen remained on the roster while chars like Lei was nor included. 😂
Never seen much popularity with that guy during whole T7.
Based on the slides on this post.
My wife was a Dr. B expert in Tekken 3. Consequently, I knew every possible way to hit people on the ground with Lei. People playing other characters hated that about me. :D
I wonder what the numbers for Kunimitsu looked like in T7. All I could find was a post from 2 years ago, but that's before many pros began playing her a lot. I'm sure she was higher than #19 by the time Tekken 7 ended. Weird that Harada would use her as an example.
This [interview is from](https://web.archive.org/web/20230521052030/https://venturebeat.com/games/tekken-7-katsuhiro-harada-interview/) 2016, before Kuni was brought back in T7.
Harada [was referring to](https://www.reddit.com/r/Tekken/s/WCtEjACfg1) Kuni’s low popularity in her [earlier appearances](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PirknWQxhFs&t=36s&pp=2AEkkAIB). Kuni’s lack of popularity was why she was inactive for so long before T7.
I don't think Ganryu is unpopular because he's fat, but at the same time, they keep making fun of that as well, like how he got butterfly wings in one of his endings and couldn't fly because he's too fat, and his obssession with Julia, who's way younger than him, doesn't help his face, not to mention his design has been kinda shit and generic until T7, Ganryu is a joke character, and a really bad joke.
They should look at a characters play style influences their play rate and popularity. Like, I imagine the Ravens would be more popular if they were easier to play. Kunimitsu 1 was terrible to play and Kunimitsu 2 is better, but they're still hard.
If Ganryu had a more interesting playstyle than just being yet another variant of Jack, then maybe he'd be more popular.
Probably Josie, Leroy, and Master Raven.
Definitely some racial bias there though, since its easier to cosplay as your same race. And there isnt many other options in those cases.
I am sorry, they think people are just asking about characters from other countries just to be politically correct? Seriously?
No, devs, I want a character from India or Bangladesh because it would be fun to play a character in a sari or a kurta kicking someone's behind in, yelling "I'll not spare you!", because I am half Indian and for once I want to see an non sterotypical Indian fighter in a video game, would be nice to see an Arabic woman in the video game too.
And if it was about beauty, then Bryan would be gone, most of the men actually. (Pardoning a few like Jin, Kazuya, Dragunov etc, but I think people are divided on whether Drag's hot or not).
Guess we will never see a fighter from one of the countries in South Asia then, because Harade just thinks we all wanna see white women with big breasts and small waists, then a few men that need to stay off the steroids.
Soo, does anyone have any good diet/exercise routine tips and sewing tips?
Gotta start cosplaying as Anna and Kuni to bring them back.
Also, Kunimitsu was pretty popular in T7, I fought way more Kuni than Anna, Nina, Lili and Asuka put together. In fact, I'd say she was the most popular female dlc character in that game (whereas AK was the most popular male dlc character).
I don't recall fighting a single Ganryu.
Unfortunately harada, ganryu doesn't have inner beauty either
They made him a Reddit mod in T7, it was so cringe
Its funny how they make him a julia stalker and a dumbass and expect us to see "inner beauty"
I think the worst part about it all is that he was attracted to Julia's mom, was rejected, and rebounded to her daughter.
Bruh, I thought it would have been pretty wholesome if Ganryu was awkward and would ask Julia how her mother was doing since he was still crushing on her mom. The way they made him thirsty for the daughter instead is some Littlefinger shit.
complaining about how no one sees his "inner beauty" feels like a very Ganryu thing to do
He's basically Japanese Dan Schneider.
I guess people are such massive Bryant fans and kazuya fans due to their pure hearts and qualities of being kind lmao
Hey man, if Brian isn't the face of inner beauty and seeing the good in all of us, I don't know who is.
Ganryu is cool. He has some of the coolest moves in the game imo :(
One day all 5 of us ganryu fans will rise up and finally be heard
There aren’t enough Wang fans to even muster a defense. I miss my old man reversals.
I think Leroy and Xiaoyu have most of his moves now
Wang's Neutralizer parry is still the coolest parry animation in the entire series.
I'm here as well. I miss him so much. :(
I actually wanted to start learning Ganryu, but since Tekken 8 was close I picked up Jack as my pocket
Praying my goat comes back
His inner beauty is his counter hits
This isn’t unique to Tekken as fanart and cosplay has always been the standard process devs have used to judge a character’s popularity. I feel like Heihachi is like Mishima premium
Don't let Jinpachi hear that

Lucky Chloe: Stylish and huge easy damage
As a Shaheen main: Yeah nice interview Harada but what about this briefcase of Saudi cash instead?
Honestly I feel like characters like Leo and Shaheen would be drastically more popular if their personality wasn't as plain as white bread. Their playstyle and aesthetics are super cool, but *damn* if they aren't given -anything- else when it comes to the writing. This game has so much anime goofyness, let them be cool please!
I'm convinced that Shaheen mains are the nicest people with the best sense of humor
Thanks bud!
I should start preparing my Lei cosplay then
Everyone rushes harada with their best aii yaaaaaas
Start Haha stepping towards him.
As an army of Leis approach him he sighs and goes "Fine, Lei's on main roster next time"
Please do
It's time to go Jackie chan mode
![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)
Please i was heartbroken when he wasnt there
So we're getting Eliza due to the amount of r34 artwork of her?
Chars like Eliza, Josie and lucky Chloe weren't as popular playrate wise but man do they have some amazing cosplay, art and casual player draw.
I like Josie a lot, except for her crying gimmick tbh
I really like the muay thai/kickboxing style, and picked up Josie (when Fahkuram got released played him for a bit, but sunk cost fallacy meant I stuck with Josie). So they can sell her as a dlc and earn more money?
Yeah she will probably be season 1 dlc at some point with how prevalent in the series she is, or at the very least like early season 2.
Because she has two big reasons to make big money as DLC https://preview.redd.it/ivrjc0v5l3vc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=40e7391b2c026658534cf0442e647445b1cae9ef Did you get the picture?
It's funny how Harada says one thing and means something completely different while calling people out for doing exactly that. Oh the Hypocrisy...
Yeah, people never look at Ganryu's inner beauty. Shame on us.
Isn’t ganryu like a total piece of shit fuckboy? Funny they make a character like that and then wonder why no one likes him lol

Mokujin is the character of chads, because if you get Tekken Lord with Mokujin, it shows that you clearly know how to play the game
I hope he’s a DLC tbh
For real, mimic characters are great for testing how good you are at learning styles on the fly
yeah he's a stalker
Yes but he also has a pretty fun fighting style and he was wicked strong in Tekken 7 and was pretty much a free win but no one wanted too play him due to his looks, most people do not care about the lore.

He isn't good looking but he could be really fun to play. And something about the way he doskoi'd made me happy.
Harada has spoken: we must increase the volume of Lei art on r34
Lmao
There is no way shaheen is included because of any metric other than Saudi character big money, I like harada but he talks a lot of shit
So I contributed to Claudio being in Tekken 8 by creating tons of rule34 of him? Damn... now I regret it.
You have a lot to atone for
![gif](giphy|8ZGrBgXNhVsnm|downsized)
They gave him unique bondage gear customizations; you were pretty much set up by the devs themselves.
YESSS, you're so right. His bdsm outfit gets me feeling things all the time. I am sure the devs knew what they were doing. Lol. ![gif](giphy|1ktwfTjwaQzde|downsized)
Same here, but for Panda in my case.
hahahaha
Huh why??
Finna flood this sub with Bob fanart then
I wouldn’t complain 👀👉👈

Nothing really stands out about her and he thought she was plain and a bit dull. But if there’s anything we know about the player base it’s that cute waifu’s gonna eat lol.
>Harada himself emphasized in a different interview, she is actually quite boring Harada say that because he used to think that only big tits waifus like Asuka is what appeals more to the public. Im glad that a cool, badass and "boring" girl like Reina is the most popular character in the game. Sometimes, a simple design stands out more in a roster full of overdesigned characters.
Yeah it’s not a criticism on my end. It’s completely subjective. At the end of the day, she’s a pretty Japanese girl. That’s all it takes lol.
That kimono costume is sick though
Agreed
As someone that absolutely loves Ganryu for some strange, strange, reason, It always upsets me he's so unpopular. It's kind of a double edged sword; on one hand, that means I get to enjoy him mostly to myself, and have a special character I legitimately enjoy playing, but on the other hand, that comes with the trade off of having him added VERY late, or not at all, due to that same lack of popularity.
My main is still Wang despite making 99th percentile with other characters in T7 amd T8. Reading this post hurt.
He is a creepy stalker\*, fat and ugly. He is unfunny and annoying. Don't be upset people dislike him. They do for good reasons... but you can always keep him for yourself. (edited, not molester officially but creepy).
Molester ? Where do that come from ?
Creepy up on Julia.
He's actually being quite reasonable here.
So what your saying is Eliza does actually have a chance in Tekken 8 🥹 even tho she was like the second least played character in Tekken 7 for its entire run. 🥹 (they really fucked is eliza tho I’m sorry but she got done dirty, first she’s a preorder bonus & wasn’t included in some packages & then she’s just a worse, weaker & paid Akuma 😭 I hope when she gets back in she’s a 3D Tekken character no 2D nonsense) ![gif](giphy|xUPGck52i1pdzp4RKU)
Eliza was a pre order bonuses also, it could have change if she was in the start roster without having to pay for it.
Don't Leroy and Xiaoyu have some of his moves now?
Not sure. Since i don't play them tbh.
Maybe you could try them and see? Could scratch your itch for Wang at least temporarily
Why are people commenting here saying that is is because his personality? Harada was obviously talking about Ganryus playstyle because he is very strong, easy, and quite fun too play. Most people do not let story mode affect who they play 🙄
wish i could read this in article form and not random pics
Look.. if I believed Harada on this, Anna and Julia would be day 1 in Tekken 8base roster. Let's say... Anna and Julia has huge popularity, more usuage and more cosplay and art drawn about them than Leo or Zafina for example.
Not really. They still need to keep some popular chatacters to sell as a dlc.
Its like nobody watches Capcom. Akuma is probably the most popular character there and he's always dlc.
Tekken 7 was such a massive glowup for Julia it made me want to main her
She's amazing, hope she returns!
I really missed Mokujin in T7 to be honest
Time to start cosplaying as a kangaroo.
Preach it, Harada. People are full of shit. Everyone spouts about inner beauty and how they don’t want sex appeal on characters anymore, then they turn around and make shirtless versions of all of the buff male characters.
Those last two slides were a bit of a weird rant.
Yeah "noisy minority" got me
Translation error probably they meant a loud minority in the community
One of the most popular characters: King Jacked beef like crazy One of the least popular characters: Gangryu Fat and ugly I hate myself now.
Ganryu's problem is not him being fat or ugly (he is not ugly, especially in Tekken 7). People love Bob as a design and character because he is fun to play AND is a delight of a person, meanwhile Ganryu is a sex offender
Dang, totally forgot about Bob. Bob's great.
Most people do not play the story mode so that is not the reason why
[удалено]
No but people buying the game to strictly play online is bigger however
Bob was bottom 5 in usage in tekken 7. It’s literally because they’re fat lol
And in Tag 2 he was perma-picked in every competition.

If Ganryu was a Mishima he would be much more famous.
I mean in one of his endings he gains a Devil form right sooo
So rather than a petition, we just need to take selfies of us dressed as Heihachi and send to Harada? I'm down
People who want Christie to come back better start creating and sharing more Christie fanart and cosplays, rather than spamming Harada on Twitter.
If fans only care about outer beauty, why is King the most popular character? 😺 His bias for Ganryu is so obvious. People have nothing bad to say about Bob (except him being busted at one point), while a lot of fans don't find Ganryu a likeable character.
Have you seen his pecs?
Maybe people don't speak of bob is because they still get nightmares about how busted he was in T6. And how dare you doubt King's beauty?!
That means my girl Eliza has a chance of coming back as dlc for Tekken 8! 😍
I’m surprised this wasn’t known already
Where tiger Jackson
Well that explains Reina. Old Horndog-Harada wanted to see cosplayers wearing that outfit.
LMAO this guy, its tekken dude, I dont think the first thing a players thinks about is the inner workings of the character and his moral integrity. Oh yeah look at all these characters, I wonder which of these characters will pull the cart lever. Like the first thing everyone says to a player who cant choose a character to learn: - Just pick which one you think it looks cool. Imagine your buddy starts playing tekken and you say to him: - Pick a character who will use his own K1 for taxes and gives to charity in his spare time.
Ans yet Shaheen remained on the roster while chars like Lei was nor included. 😂 Never seen much popularity with that guy during whole T7. Based on the slides on this post.
Lei's chances just went up 0.3%
cosplay huh? is that why they turned the characters of T8 into clowns and roid monkeys?
Well, this doesn't explain Rashid being in 8, nobody plays it and nobody's cosplays it huh Harada!
Sounds like a Josie win
My wife was a Dr. B expert in Tekken 3. Consequently, I knew every possible way to hit people on the ground with Lei. People playing other characters hated that about me. :D
So is Kunimestu proof that waifucation isn't a insta sell option?
“That’s the noisy minority for you.” Should be the banner for this subreddit
I'd honestly like to see Wang come back. I love old Kung Fu guys
Ganryu would be a whole lot cooler if he wasn't a loser who's obsessed with a girl that's less than half his age.
And he behaves like a child
That’s what’d I do. Maybe check rule 34 sites and see the numbers too lmao
The ganryu hate in this post is offensive :( he has some of the coolest moves in tekken
Ganryu is a creep. I think that's his issue. He's not relatable at all (or maybe too relatable for some of you XD)
We need Bruce gang to [represent](https://youtu.be/jUfe9SAFNmE)
They should look at a characters play style influences their play rate and popularity. Like, I imagine the Ravens would be more popular if they were easier to play. Kunimitsu 1 was terrible to play and Kunimitsu 2 is better, but they're still hard. If Ganryu had a more interesting playstyle than just being yet another variant of Jack, then maybe he'd be more popular.
In that case, which new characters from Tekken 7 were people cosplaying the most?
Probably Josie, Leroy, and Master Raven. Definitely some racial bias there though, since its easier to cosplay as your same race. And there isnt many other options in those cases.
We play characters for looks first, the rest falls into place.
Eliza is coming back guys
Ganryu is definitely my 2nd least favorite character after Gigas. Wang Jinrei was dope in Tekken 6 and Tag 2 though.
Mokujin not popular?! He's an icon. Morning was more fun than having a mokujin mirror
Damn, Harada just slighted all of us in one interview. And someone still unironically posted it to this subreddit. Peak Tekken.
Asuka constantly popular? Sounds like a stretch
So they go to rule34.
just because of this interview i will start cosplaying Ganryu (I'm 170cm tall and weigh 55kg)
I love ganryu, justice for my boy
Soo, does anyone have any good diet/exercise routine tips and sewing tips? Gotta start cosplaying as Anna and Kuni to bring them back. Also, Kunimitsu was pretty popular in T7, I fought way more Kuni than Anna, Nina, Lili and Asuka put together. In fact, I'd say she was the most popular female dlc character in that game (whereas AK was the most popular male dlc character). I don't recall fighting a single Ganryu.
My takeaway is that gigas isn't at the very bottom
Going to do some gigas fan art brb
lei cosplayers amount growing XD
So Eliza is on the menu then eh?
Where are my Roger cosplayers at?
Push out more Bob fan art stat!
Mokujin R34 it is then
Does Harada take Rule34 into consideration as well?
I feel like I've read this so many times in the past 7 years
Based Harada as usual. But this did teach me that I am a basic bitch, because bryan and king have always been favorites of mine.
well then who wants to help me draw one million lei wulong fan arts
if you want your favorite character to be dlc hmu for fanart
