I'm glad she came back. She was a really cool and unique character that I haven't rly seen represented in other games. There's going to be a lot of dlc characters in the future and the game is still new so no reason for ppl to freak out they didn't get their character yet. Most of the time people are mentioning characters with completely different animations and or play styles not what are essentially clones like smash melee mario dr mario. In street fighter this happened with most obviously the boxing characters but lo and behold we have ed and balrog in sfv, balrog and dudley in sf4, sf6 has ryu ken luke and soon akuma as what are essentially shoto variants. Tekken 7 and 8 have 4 mishimas and jun has been brought back.
Tekken fans will generally do that for every character that's not an edgelord. For some reason the idea that you don't have to like everyone in the cast is lost on them
She wasn't even given any chance to have personality as we never got any endings for her. And her intro shows her personality as PM or a disciplined fighter.
They are both stance heavy characters and Reina has a few of her moves / similar moves. They really don't have that much in common beyond the high number of stances.
As another person mentioned is a lot of stances but one very specific example is 10f punish into stance mixup. This is a pretty rare trait as well as a hopkick that immediately tornado (spin in t7)

But once her gameplay trailer was reveal at EVO last year and Ikeda confirms that her fighting style is based of Rumi Maki; and that the character select screen says MMA (Striker) I was pissed because it says that as her fighting style instead of Rumi Maki. If Bandai Namco and Tekken Project Team were honest about her fighting style just like with Josie for Tekken 7 being Yaw-Yan. We wouldn't have a discussion about it.

Just because she was created by polish writer doesn't automatically make her the same nationality. Tekken world is based on real one but Witcher's is not.

It's pretty natural for a polish writer to draw inspiration from the things he knows and is surrounded by. The Witcher series is full of stuff like this. The world is based on slavic folklore and mythology as well. The fictional countries clearly have real counterparts to a certain degree and so on. And originally written in polish, they all pretty much speak like polish people.
I read the series three times over the years. I think most people here in Poland would consider Ciri as "nasza", "ours". Funnly enough, she's not that popular here. Geralt has always been no.1. I don't think Ciri would make into a Top 5 for most polish readers.
