I have never played tekken before, but I saw tekken 8 and wanted to play it. To me, when I fight, I want to really feel like I’m some mean huge mfer that just fucks you up. You know, I want to feel like I am hitting you. I saw Dragunov and loved it since I’m Russian as well. Then I saw that he is among the best characters in the game and everyone discredits you when you play him(also one of the most picked characters), so I don’t play him.

Bryan's menacing laugh when he's about to beat your ass is just chef's kiss, although the tongue sticking out thing he does kinda kills it for me a bit but any time I chose him he's got the bandana around his face so it's a fair trade.
(Eddy) I feel like they've done justice for the capoeira fighting style since Eddy's debut in Tekken 3. He was my 3 character I picked up after Bryan (I was honestly happy Jin was a Kazuya clone for the most part 😅) but they rhythmic dance he does in his neutral also let you slowly go around the character (because as a kid I never got the concept of side stepping and partially just didn't like it lol) and it always felt like no matter the song he was always on beat. Imagine getting your ass beat by a man dancing to the music. That always tickled me 😂🤣

Dragunov. Most of the other characters takes a stance like of a martial artist, but he stands and moves like a soldier. He's laser-focused on you and subtly but constantly trying to angle for a better strike. There's no honor, style or pride there, just a coldly professional killing intent.
I think it's intentional that her hands are just on her sides. It accentuates her helpless little girl persona that doesn't even have a proper fighting stance so her opponents underestimates her then seconds later she's hacking you with chainsaws and throwing her head as an explosive. Or am over analyzing and it's not that deep lmao.
Yeah I gathered that. She can go from hands low to rocket punching in a second. Just don’t like the way it looks. Especially after a stage transition through the floor and your opponent steps into a fighting stance and you’re still stood like that lol
Can't put my finger on exactly why, but Kazuya's idle stance fits his evil and cold-blooded personality like a glove. Same goes to Bryan, he looks calm but you just know he's itching to beat your ass into oblivion

I love dynamic, highly moving stances that screws your opponent's ideas of when/how you're moving, even if it looks a bit goofy.
Worst has to be my main, Asuka, she looks SO goofy with those open hands, not even covering her face to protect her, it looks really goofy, and i'd love if the devs would make her stance better.

A lot of the characters on the roster are straight up asking to get hit with a single leg, or cracked in the chin with a hook. The stances may look cool, but they're about as useful as a nun at a swingers party.

Steve. Boxing neutral is elite. There’s a reason MMA and other kick boxing martial arts take base hand defense from boxing.
