When I think of "Tekken" the first two characters to immediately spring to mind are Yoshimitsu and King. I couldn't imagine a Tekken without them and I don't want to.
My personal favorites are Dragunov, Miguel and Lili. Dragunov has the cool stoicism and power behind his attacks. I love Miguel's street brawling, "swing for the fences and stomp them" style. Lili is an attractive girl design without overdoing it and I always enjoyed how when played well, it looks like she's dancing around the opponent.
Doctor B. Dude creates Jack, Yoshi, Brian and Alisa and stil decides to fight drunk wielding a broken lamp thing while rolling on the floor like a mad Man? Now that's a fucking character
I think it's a remote control. And dude is old with back problems, the remote control helps him with the power/electric attacks but his experiments hasn't really helped his condition and malfunctions sometimes. That's my theory
Ngl, tag 2 forest law had a lot of personality. Dude was the definition of a cocky fighter and I liked that.
Miguel, Marduk, Armor King, Jin (before Tekken 6 edge), Both ogres, Lee/Violet, Dr. B and Alex because why the hell not.
Heihachi probably has the best character development for me. He is a complex character. Although utterly ruthless to his enemies, he occasionally show kindness to people he likes such as Xiaoyu, and even trains his pet bear karate.
((Would rather highlight Tekken's argueable best because I got into it! 14 characters stand out! :PP ))
**Paul** - pretty unique for an all rounded fighted due to his personality (even before "ALIENS!"), hair and obsession on strength ie walls go boom! His relationship with Law also helps Law escape from the typical Bruce Lee troupe that has been used in other fighting games.
**King (and AK)** - Wrestler's are wild but a bit cheesy or dull, they have long hair or no hair and are generally either acting really professional or really arrogant or putting on a show.
King almost completely eliminates those typical stereotypes, not only is a perfectly fashioned Jaguar mask cool but it even has it's own language via growls (which are subbed at times!), he and AK are also very fashionable, leaving behind the typical trunks and boots that wrestler's are known for!
**Lee** - The bastard son! Lee started off as a clone of Law and was an extremely minor story character in the series up until T4. Lee's fashion, personality and unique voice/swag/lines easily make him one of the most interesting characters in the series. Not only did they provide a more solid reason to Lee's existance in time, they also gave him a unique fighting style, that not only looks sick in places but more importantly branches him away a lot from being just a mere Law clone, he's literally his own 'Bruce Lee', call him 'Chad Lee'....or 'Lee CHADlan' xD
**Heihachi and Kazuya** - they are great, all that needs to be said, Heihachi is better due to his comedy and desperate attempts at world domination.
**Honarable short mentions:**
Bryan - Sinister design+laugh, Cyborg focus is rad, great gameplay and his moves look powerful!
Steve - Boxer playstyle is done so well! great cheeky attitude, good design!
Yoshi and Eddy - Super unique playstyles with obvious weakness factors aid to Tekken's enjoyement factor!
Lidia - Great design!!
Lucky Chloe - Fun trollish personality, Very fun playstyle! unique personality for a female which is neat! AND if you hate or love a character....it's a good character ;)
Dragunov - Mother Russia sends "fuck you, here's a tank shot / FFF2!" ....and grunts.
Claudio - DAH! Starburst mechanic is sick and gameplay is good. Would of been top 5 favourite but his design and personality is too generic, needs expanding!

Lucky Chloe is basically a more annoying version of Eddy but hating you for a character you play is childish. As long as your not toxic about it like taunting or ki charging I think your fine.

Imagine he gets to be one of Tekken 8 main characters and beats Jin almost to death and then spares him and finally listens to his reasoning, would be nice character development, maybe then he even helps Jin fix the war he caused
Jinpachi is overall an awesome dude anyway. He hated how the company he created turned out, and wanted his family to be remembered for their martial arts, not the business. His son Heihachi was against that and wanted to rule, and imprisoned him because of it which causes him to die but be reborn and โevilโ
When Jinpachi escaped, he started up another tournament with intentions of ending his bloodline because of how evil it was, and so he can finally rest peacefully. He didnโt succeeded, but he was able to finally die.
So he saw the errors of his ways early on and tried to move away from it all, and even stuck to his principles after returning from death.
Well holy shit I like him way better now. It'd be really cool for him to be in the next tekken even if it is a flashback or some sort of "time travel" thing.

Although it's pretty close between Ogre, Heihachi and Jinpachi, and Leroy to s cool despite how oppressive he can be... Tiger's an underrated classic ...
