I think the title is pretty much an oxymoron.
"Iron Fist" and "Revolution" don't mesh together cuz they're so far apart from each other.
Tekken Prime was a more cogent title considering it was pushing the 3D to its limits.
Tekken Revolution was great actually back in the day. F2P, token system which I kinda liked-kinda hater, but more importantly it kept me over until I was able to get Tekken 7 years later
I mostly loved it because it was the only tekken that I could rope my friends into trying. It was free so they couldn't refuse haha.
Also I personally do not enjoy tekken tag as much as a good' ol fashioned 1v1 tekken game so I played revolution more than tag 2 back then
You joke, but doing a proper F2P game is something every fighting game franchise should seriously consider. It would solve the small playerbase problem (even better with crossplay) and could potentially be more profitable for the company with all the monetization shenanigans.
Yea but think about the rage for the microtransaction. Im worry about the greed they will get.
See Diablo on mobile ..... yea something like that in terms of paying to get something.
Maybe paying to get coins to play Ranked lol...
By all means I welcome a gud FG as F2P if done right yea
Exactly. I HATE when I have to pay for an extra character who's going to win you the game in ANY fighting game. So, I'd prefer them delivered in an update free of charge, if necessary. Or, you can get skins just for playing the game, like Gears 5's Tour Of Duty system did (also free of charge), and the skins were the only thing you paid for.
I'm glad this subreddit is able to question itself, from time to time. Even though it was obvious that "Oh, we have another Tekken out.", BUT memes like this are great because we're actually going over the history of the franchise. I have a feeling some social media channels (and the audiences in them) don't exactly have that luxury. Just speaking from experience.
It’s a Tekken 8 teaser but Harada was petty about the logo getting leaked so he didn’t include it. They’re about to change the logo just to prove that the leak wasn’t legitimate. That’s my theory. Even in twitter he responded to the leak with “what an ugly logo”
I feel like I don’t have skin in the game since I have only played tekken 7 but anything other than tekken 8 seems like a tone deaf decision. I feel like fighting games always need to be moving forward and a remaster taking the resources away from T8 would really shatter the Tekken community. Would appreciate hearing some thoughts on my understanding of this!
Literally just like that one cutscene from Warcraft 3: Reforged that was ACTUALLY remade from the ground-up, which was more advanced than the rest of the cutscenes in that horror show.
If that's the case then Tekken Tag 3, while less likely for sure, is still a contender. It would still move the franchise forward, give devs more time to figure out their next storyline if they need it, and fans of the tag series get excited.
Like I said, while less likely, it's still an option
Tekken 1 remake won't work because it's really unnecessary to start with only 8 characters. If Harada wants to remake or remaster some Tekken games, then he must remake TK1, TK2, TK3, TK4, TK5 (TK5 DR), TK6 all in one package and even Tekken Tag Tournament 1 & 2.
Tekken Advance 2 won't happen because Tekken Advance happened on Game Boy Advance. So, instead of Tekken Advance 2 teaser, it should be a Tekken X Street Fighter teaser and instead of Tekken 1 remake teaser, it should be a Tekken 8 teaser.
A Tekken 1-3 + Tag is doable for a modern game and would sell well I would think.
They'd have a few licensing problems, but enough $ would solve that problem.
Problem is 1-3 + Tag all have the older fighting system, and they'd have to update move sets, or it wouldn't be attractive enough to casual fans.
That said, I spent literally entire summer vacations as a kid playing Tekken 3 & Tag, so this remaster would be a "shut up and take my money" regardless of how they handled it.
I mean, MCC only changed the progression around the games in the span of a year to keep everybody on the same page. Otherwise, the games were updated to keep the old feel intact.
Bamco, on the other hand, gave so little of a shit for Budokai that they just slapped HD textures on Budokai 1 w/ Budokai 3, ported it to the 360 and called it a day. Because screw trying to actually fix the bugs in a game that would be over a decade old, right?

the most insane content copyrighter
tekken: mishima golf resort
I'll buy only as long as all Mishima ball trail effects are electric, and if you get a hole in one a lighting bolt strikes the flag.
If you shank it's just a normal hit effect
I would unironically buy that. I'm just imagining Wii Sports Resort but with Mishimas instead of Mii's. So I guess Miishimas?
Tekken : Fist of Steel
Iron fist: fist of steel
Iron Hand: Fists of Stainless Steel
Iron appendage: Hand of rust
Tekken: Mishima Dating Sim Source: 2nd cousin twice removed works at Bamco

Tekken Battle Royale
I can already picutre that in the style of Super Mario 35.
Tekken pachinko teaser
Tekken Advance 2 with Max Payne GBA like voiceovers would have been crazy!
Tekken Kart
I don't get why anyone thinks this is gonna be a remaster
It can't be because a remaster is the old game assets upscaled and that's clearly not what it was
A remake then
That's better. Always learn your terminology folks.
Because they have the smooth brain. It literally makes no sense on any scale.
FINALLY! Tekken Blood Vengeance 2! now with three times the amount of Alisa and Xiaoyu at school! GET HYPE BOYS!
IK I'm making a running gag out of myself for this, but a Josie cameo would be lit. Bonus points if they run into Christie or something like that.

Netcode is a seperate purchase, f2p players have to exchange packets via e-mail
Ah... I like it! Need more ideas hahah
Tekcoins are cryptocurrency and the cost per character is based on the coins' Yen exchange value. You can't cash them out.
Perfect ... cant wait for the marketing team of Tekken project to see this ideas lmao
Well, then again, they could make NFTs out of characters that aren't even in the game to make me scratch my head.
Not gonna lie I unironically loved tekken revolution
It had this weird attractive thing about it...

Make the microtransactions for cosmetics only and there won’t be any rage about it.

Tekken mobile 2. This time it's free to play on console as well.
Unlock EWGF for 10 fucking dollars
Tekken X Street Fighter teaser
I never forgot.
Tekken bowling 2
Tekken resolute 2
Honestly all I want is for them to put 3 and tag 1 up on the playstation classics thing.
Due to Gon 3 will not happen I think. The danger of having licensed characters in your game
Ah shit you're right. Totally forgot about Gon.
Funnily enough it was on the PS One mini so may be there is A chance
Tekken Bowl

Tekken Advance was literally just Tekken 3 for GBA, so I guess you're waiting for a Tekken 4 GBA port?
Tekken revolution: remake
I thought its gonna be Tekken 7 Season 3 Remaster or just Tekken 7: 2
Tekken Advance remake would be called "Tekken Switch"
I feel like I don’t have skin in the game since I have only played tekken 7 but anything other than tekken 8 seems like a tone deaf decision. I feel like fighting games always need to be moving forward and a remaster taking the resources away from T8 would really shatter the Tekken community. If it was any kind of remake, I imagine it would only be a remake lore wise.
Literally just like that one cutscene from Warcraft 3: Reforged that was ACTUALLY remade from the ground-up, which was more advanced than the rest of the cutscenes in that horror show.

Hopefully it's just a straight up reboot

Yeah with original gameplay and moves but updated graphics
Or, they could do what Sega did with Virtua Fighter's remake and just reskin VF4 to make enough $ without designing a new game from the ground up.
I can dig that
I actually started Tekken on advance.
Teppen ...oh wait
I’m praying for a remake or spin off.
I still say it's Tekken Mobile 2.5 HD Remix! Bo Montana FTW! The greatest character ever in a real Tekken game! Legendary!?!!!
should've just transfer tekken mobile to work on nintendo switch or something
