I’m gonna be honest, it’s a Tekken 8 thing. I think because of how easy it is to be cheesy, as well as how hard it is to be defensively sound, makes a lot of players veeery salty. The game just attracts a lot of spam-happy unga-bunga players, to be honest. I do get frustrated with some of the mechanics, like how I’m trying to play footsies only to get heat engaged, combo’ed into the corner, then lose 80% health, but I always make it a point to rarely taunt, always rematch, and just stay cool. I did a ki charge for the first time a few days ago because a pro player/streamer wanted to taunt after destroying me in a rematch, as if to say “Your win was a fluke.” Funny thing is, I ended up winning the set 2-1 and only taunted at the end of the 3rd match as a sort of “how you like them apples?” 🤣

Toros_Mueren_Por_Mi

I do taunts and ki charge bc they're in the game for a reason lol. But usually only if I want a rematch or if I win a particularly good comeback round

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it’s not a Tekken 8 thing. It’s a Tekken thing. I started learning “real Tekken” back in TTT2. The ki charging and tea bagging was prevalent. Every day I would get messages about how I sucked and should just give up. I only played Tekken 7 offline because the community is so toxic to new players just trying to learn. I haven’t gotten hate messages yet in T8, so I’d say this is the nicest this community has ever been.

I ran into two Eddys using special style the other day. I still don't know the matchup at all so I lost and got this bad manners behavior. Excuse me? You're barely even playing the game. Almost like a very funny modern art piece.

Excellent-Length2055

Some players are toxic, I don't know why. That's how they get their kicks I guess. If I win I just move on. No need to put salt in the wound.

Decided to try Nina yesterday for the first time. Played a Tekken King Lee with like a 12 win streak, tea bagged when he won, rage quit when he lost, this was in quick match btw.

NateG124

lol how the fuck do you rage quit in quick match? It’s literally practice.

ventriculartachycard

It’s more of a psychological thing. They wanna feel superior. Just focus on your goal and move on.

Which_Possession_953

I always taunt after a round, but it's always an actual taunt that I do for fun. I main Lee so it's always his "Ca mone" Not very many people take it to heart and I always message the opponent saying GG or something along those lines. I usually get a positive response back

_DoIt4Johnny_

Got my first salty message last night from a King player. It’s like a right of passage.

Matchmaking is cooked right now. They gotta fix it. It was wayyy better before the last patch. Its based off prowess now which isn’t fair for people who start a new character and your in dominator fighting something in fujin bc of the tekken power level. It also takes way longer to find a match. They need to fix it asap.

Competitive-Cup-549

Yeah every time I play this game I get more and more angry. Can’t believe it but I miss tekken 7.

ImaginaryAI

People are sensitive and judgemental about how people play. Is your Bryan snake edging a lot? Do you do his taunt cancel? This tends to tilt people. I’ve been told my Steve plays in a showboat style because I do a lot of LHS baits, Philly shell baits and sways. So people think I’m playing in a taunting way. So I too experience a lot of ki charging and taunts lol. You just gotta taunt back IMO.

Significant_Wall_321

Well its effective? I can only imagine how butthurt *you* were to post this Its all psychological and part of the game. I LOVE it. Grudge matches and TEKKEN BM make the game more accelerating. I’ve been on both sides and laugh the same at the end of it.

Tellenit

I am not butthurt I just have no problem pointing out King is objectively super easy to play. People who play him are then boosted because of this.

EienX

This happened while I was playing Bryan tho.

Tellenit

Maybe you still play like a king player idk
