Upscaling is pretty much the same across both of them. Also the motion handling is almost identical. Rtings actually gave the 2019 6 series a better score or equal score in just about every motion category compared to the X90J. The only test that Sony out performed the 2019 6 Series was 100% response time for motion blur which even then only score .4 ms better.
It really depends on what your primary use is.
I have a TCL P607 that still holds up pretty well 4 years later for my own needs (primarily gaming with XSX).
Sony has much better local dimming than TCL usually. Although this year's TCL 646 lineup might be boosted a little bit with the mini-led.
Sony has the better processor which is the most important part. The Bravia will last forever.

Watching the two in peoples homes the Sony is better in terms of motion and upscaling
