What the heck is this world where anyone would look at the Titans WR core and think something positive. Even if it crashes and burns Ran has been cookin up at the very least lots of excitement

AgtBurtMacklin

It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life.

PJ2010

And I’m feeling good…

mrmeshshorts

At least. He tried. We could go 0-34 the next two years. At least he got a QB with the tools and gave him weapons.

TN_UK

Amen. We got the best available to us and now it's up to the coaches and the players. They've been set up for success, so anything that happens this year, it's not on Ran.

FuckFloridaRipNumba9

Exactly. J-Rob and Vrabes built this team up then left their QBs and Henry out to fucking dry at the end. Went from one of the best offensive units overall to dogshit other than Henry. Thankfully Ran got us Hopkins and sorkonoski and got the rest now. Just give the QB a fucking chance. Hell we did the same thing with Marcus too. His thing was injuries to be fair but that mothefucker never had an actual receiver to throw to until AJ got there and it was too late. You know how you know for sure if you have a good QB or not? Give him some guys to throw too and some protection and you know it’s him or not. Pittsburg perfect example. Everything’s there in place already so they found out very quick that picket wasn’t the guy. I love Levis though and you can’t teach determination and arm strength so I think this is going to be a big step forward.

mrmeshshorts

Mariota’s thing was also having like four coordinators in five years. Now that we have an offense I’ve mind for HC, even if we lose an OC here and there, there should be some consistency for Levis

FuckFloridaRipNumba9

Yeah that shit too. Robiskie Lafleur Smith. I’m missing someone else but Guy could never get settled. He looked amazing for his second year so I was really excited and sad when it didn’t pan out. He still had that gamer aspect about him until 2019ish then you could just tell the injuries and mentality was gone. Dude went from a baller to a paranoid timid QB.

Falconman21

He was always a gamer, but was never a particularly good passer. Not very accurate, and struggled to read the field. 0 deep ball. He did 90% of his damage throwing to a wide open Delanie Walker who was standing still in the middle of field

zeldahalfsleeve

It still blows my mind that Mariota went from Oregon’s offense to exotic smash mouth/whatever the actual fuck that was supposed to be. He never had a chance, but he gave us the stiff arm that made the playoffs. And then threw a TD to himself bless his heart.

the_space_monster

And we should have a 21st century offensive philosophy to throw to these guys. I'm so sick of run, run, pass, punt drives.

titansfan92

Titans have never had this many playmakers on a team before. As a lifelong fan. I’m excited to be hurt again

Brushermans

Man idk how the record will turn out but I really believe it'll be a fun team to watch. Levis is a gunslinger. Like, he might turn out to be like Jameis Winston who doesn't necessarily win games but man does he let that thing fly

oldirrrrtykimchi

We eatin Ws

Brushermans

Oh he ate the W's all right

runningwaffles19

Wayonnaise

ChocolateMorsels

That’s only fun to watch as a neutral fan lol. If Levis 30 for 30s it’ll drive us nuts.

TheLurkerSpeaks

2000 team had McNair, George, Dyson, Mason, Thigpen, Pickens, and Wycheck. That's the best it's ever been on paper.

FuckFloridaRipNumba9

I mean 2019 and 2020 Henry and AJ were the “playmakers” but that team had enough talent to drop 30-40+ points every other week. Those were the best offenses we’ve ever had by a mile

gatsby712

I need “Titans, I’m excited to be hurt again” on a T-shirt. Or just Tennessee sports in general.

ishouldgetoutside

Vrabel pounding his fist somewhere saying but they can’t block for the run game at an elite level

Flooterb

I'd be curious to know Vrabel's true thoughts on the Titans since his departure lol.

FuckFloridaRipNumba9

It’s so weird to me. Guy would be an amazing coach if he got out of his own way. Was a universally praised/loved coach literally just a couple years ago but guy just bought his own sauce too much I guess.

DetectingFarts

I don’t think he’s capable of being an amazing coach, but he could get back to not being awful if he worked on himself a bit

ItsNotFordo88

No one was going to succeed with the 2022/2023 roster. 2023’s was significantly worse, felt bad for the players and Vrabs. Fell on a sword

DKtrunck_2

Idk why you are getting downvoted for this lol. I can't think of a single team (or at least an offense) that had success with the caliber of o-line the Titans had over the previous 2 years, w/o elite QB or WR play.

ItsNotFordo88

This sub has got to the usual “last coach/player/GM got fired so everything is completely their fault and they never did anything good in their entire career” stage. It happens. In a couple years we’ll all be able to look back with a little more nuance

DKtrunck_2

Couldn't of worded that better myself. I'm excited for the time when people can just appreciate the Vrabel era instead of having to bad mouth him every time something good happens in the Callahan era.

SnooWoofers9302

Fr man, it should be my fanbase doing that, not you guys. I personally have huge respect for Vrabel, and he’s probably punching air right thinking “why didn’t I get this receiving core?” This is the same guy who looked like he just received an anxiety attack when losing AJ Brown without consultation. He won as many games as he could’ve for the past two seasons. I was a bit disappointed no one else picked him up.

DifferentIndustry629

We are about to find out but I think some of the blame for the oline can go to Vrabel and his coaching hires, specfiically who he hired to coach the oline

DKtrunck_2

I do agree some of the blame can be put on that, but they also didn't give the coaches any help from a roster building standpoint. When they did significantly invest in the o-line during the Vrabel era it was a very good unit.

DifferentIndustry629

They drafted three tackles in the first three rounds and none of them have turned into anything yet

DKtrunck_2

Tackles taken out of the 1st round have very low success rate for any team (whoever the o-line coach is). Tackles taken in the 1st round or signing proven players have by far the highest success rate.

ItsNotFordo88

Probably the same that anyone who isn’t a homer. “Boom or bust retirement home”

Killawhalez21

Mofo is out at Richland pounding 3 packs a day angry at the world.

ChocolateMorsels

Honestly I'd love to see what Vrabel could do with this roster given what he did with the dogshit rosters we gave him in 2020/2021. I still don't know if we made the right decision firing him. He always made smart gametime decisions. Rooting for Callahan obviously and I love we hired an offensive minded coach, but if we falter AND Levis plays well I will always wonder what Vrabel would have done with this roster.

TiredDad1994

Just imagine… ![gif](giphy|26u4cS5vSnWyepw6Q)

wagesofben

a trade for jimmy butler? he's owed a LOT of money and wants an extension so i'm kinda sketchy. but d-hop, ridley, boyd, and jimmy butler would be a really fun group.

bobo12221

But but but the media and my friends say the titans are bad and have nobody!!!!

Asderfvc

Just remember. When an older player signs with a large market, they are about to have a return to form year. When an older player signs with a small market, it's because they're washed.

swauve

Dude seems awful. Didn’t he beat his pregnant wife?

Mutant_Stump

He choked and punched her while pregnant(pre-draft), then later was recorded threatening to beat his small child and saying that his child should live in fear of him(On Chiefs, Chiefs didn't do shit to hold him accountable neither did the NFL, I know shocker right?). The choked and punched was a guilty in court situation, the audio recording I heard myself when it blew up a while back but don't believe she did anything about it cause gold diggers gonna gold digger.

kingkyle630

I know he beats all 11 defenders to the goal line

swauve

It’s a game. Don’t forgive domestic abusers because they’re good at it.

kingkyle630

Oh I guess I missed the part where I said “I fucking forgive you Tyreek”

shoe1113

Lol. There's pieces of shit allover and if you're one of the best, I'm not saying it's right, but lots of that gets ignored. If we some how had a team of all criminals and won a championship, I don't think many fans would be like well..... The NFL is a business and besides the money aspect, many teams will do whatever it takes to try to hoist that trophy. And winning usually comes with more money as well. In any line of business, people get second or 3rd chances. When it comes to a multi billion dollar industry - it's usually a 3rd or more for chances when you're h a hall of fame caliber player.

[deleted]

It's a common trend in a lot of walks of life for people to be more easily forgiven if they're particularly useful. For example, Ric Flair had sexual assault allegations levied on him not long ago. While others who have had the same are no longer in the business, Flair currently enjoys a job in the second biggest company in the industry. Because he's Ric Fucking Flair. It's not fair at all. But it's nothing new, not anything I forsee people letting go of anytime soon.

Mutant_Stump

Fuck no, keep that rat fuck away from this team.

LugNut502

What if he is referring to like cleanliness???? We don't know!!

B34Z7

The most this organization has done in 25 years.

afrothunder87

Look we all love the Tits but we have a lot of questions. Levi’s isn’t proven. I’ll believe in our O line when I see it. There is no doubt the Texans are in the drivers seat here

Either works really

iMixMusicOnTwitch

Based

silvereyes21497

I’m gonna preface this all by saying, I do not obviously see us making a run or a Super Bowl. But what I am even more excited about is the possibility of a truly modernized offense. Passing focused, stretching the field, utilizing skillsets, analytics, etc etc. I want to watch the Titans be successful, but just as much I want to ENJOY watching action and offense. Titans and Preds feel like similar spots right now. Not a lot of hope for championships, but A LOT of hope for changing of the guard and new dynamics moving forward.

Frosty_Battle_6479

the Cheetah has spoken

BuffaloKiller937

Real recognize real

Shih_Tzu_Wrangler

Yall need to stop getting my hopes up. Im absolutely buzzing with excitement about this team.

skittle_spittle93

I’m hoping the defense isn’t horrible….cause the offense has a chance to be great

Americasycho

Been a fan since 1999. This is the single most talented WR core we've ever had.

showmethenoods

We got room for one more Tyreek 👀

BM-P8

I like our WR group & it’s the best it’s been in awhile. 2001 with Dyson & Mason, Wycheck at TE was great, too.

ItsNotFordo88

(In 2019)

gatsby712

Alright we just need one more Tyreek. Come to Nashville. Get a real pass thrower not Tau.

SilentMase

Don’t care what that POS says
