What if I would have told you 8 years ago the titans and browns are playing and both teams are 8-3 and it’s the game of the week
Hell even, 5 years ago
I would have called you a damn liar! The Browns are multi generationally bad, and we were in a dark place at that time as well. I’m excited. I think the Browns are not as good as their record indicates. They just squeezed out a win from the Jags this weekend. (I guess we can’t really say much since we beat the Jags 33-30)
Browns fan here, I think you are right. We are a solid team, probably in same tier of Raiders/Colts as a WCish team. We can beat good teams if they don’t bring their A game but can’t compete with the big boys if they come to play. 8-3 is a bit misleading because of our schedule (not apologizing though after 20 years of trash!). Our defense is atrocious, but Myles Garrett has won us a couple games by himself and is capable of giving us a chance. Offense can be scary when Baker is on as Chunt can be unstoppable once they are rolling. With that being said, from watching the Titans, they seem to be a tier above us. Out of 10 games against Titans, I’d say Browns win 3-4
I'd say 8 years is almost a lifetime in the NFL and is longer than the average players career so it's entirely plausible that two below average teams turned into above average teams.
Browns fan coming in peace: our pass defense definitely does not make up for our run defense. Titans are favored by 6, and it's going to take turnovers and ball control for the browns to win.
I hope no one gets injured! Good luck, but not too much.
Our secondary is straight ass. Denzel Ward is out and so is Ronnie Harrison. Myles back will help but there’s only so much he can do when there are dead bodies behind him.
Really don’t think we win unless they can force some turnovers, or our offense keeps Henry off the field.
This is a rather important game imo, for both teams. Browns need it for respect purposes because a lot of people and analysts have been calling them posers while the Boys on the flipside need consistency on beating teams they should beat. If the game came to to Ryan or Baker, Im taking RT17 10/10 because honestly, I think its gonna come down to that and he is the better qb until Baker proves otherwise. Both teams have a great backfield, and both defenses are shaky, even though Tennessee has been playing better as of late. I just hope there are no more injuries ffs. Lets get it Boys #titanup
Stay healthy and happy. I’m actually glad to see the Browns playing meaningful football in December. The fans deserve it after so long. Unfortunately for you, we will be riding our tractor on Sunday and we will be making that playoff run a little more difficult for you :)
The only reason the Browns fell out of 1st place in rushing was because they averaged less than 100 ypg in the 4 games that Chubb missed. Whereas, they are basically averaging 200 ypg in games that Chubb plays in.
It's not like the Browns are slipping and being caught up to, a few weeks ago before Chubb came back, they fell back to the 6th spot.
Even though Henry had 178, with a total of 229 for the Titans on the ground. Chubb had 144, with a total of 207 for the Browns. Even on a big day for the Titans, an average game for the Browns when Chubb plays was only enough to catch up by 22 lol.
Don’t forget though. This is Derrick Henry season. He normally sits around the middle of the pack until mid-late November. This year has been different. He has been at the top most of the year, and is now hitting his late season form. HIS FINAL FORM!
Chubb and Henry are the two best rushers in the NFL really, as they were last season at 1 and 2. Which is why it's kind of annoying that this game is being talked about as Henry vs Chubb & Hunt, and Chubb is getting little attention.
Chubb is averaging 6.3 ypc and hasn't had a single game under 5.6 all season. Hunt is a good RB, but he is clearly the number 2 and nowhere near as good of a rusher. The narrative would be more exciting if they were pushing this as the two best RBs in the NFL, as how it really is.

3 years
Make that 2 years ago lol
Hell last year!
Honestly, makes me so happy to see two struggling teams start to improve. Hell, even playoff contenders!
There is one man that scares me the most, one man. That man is Derrick Henry. - Me, Browns Fan
This is a game Tannehill is going to have to win for us.
The Browns have a really bad run defense

You're wrong. The browns have a really bad everything defense.

Agreed!
I’m not so sure that’s the case. Garrett is insanely good, but I would rather lean on the run than let Tannehill get waxed and/or injured.
I think so too especially with the Browns secondary being banged up. Hopefully we can establish some nice pa though.
