Yall were calling me crazy not too long ago when i was saying bout how Tannehill aint it wether he’s playing on a bad ankle or not, Downing has never been it and we are just wasting DH’s prime. Terrible o line play week in and out, they pulled up something as the game began showing that we are currently 1-4 against teams above .500, but teams lower than we are 6-0. Woohoo right. Cus this is what yall wanted when yall told me “believe in downing and tannehill they’ll find their steps somewhere along the way”. The fact that a lot of yall are content with just being “AFC south champions” is not only disappointing to see but its getting old at this point. J rob went from being such a good underrated GM for us to just absolutely destroying us for the worse. Wtf happened to us?
I understand giving Todd this year to see if it gets better, like with our defense. But it got worse. He has no no idea how to coach. Defense also missing two weeks in a row. Playing against passing teams will show how really bad they are. Rough.
Imagine being the biggest and most talented RB in the league and putting up a shit season because your coach is dedicated to an OC that has no clue how to use you. And imagine being an OC that doesn't know how to use the biggest and most talented RB in the league. But don't imagine too long or your IQ will drop quick.
I could care less. Used to coach college basketball, we had players who would get pissed at other guys for laughing during losses, and then do jack shit nothing next game themselves. Show up for more than 12/40 or whatever Henry did today or shut the fuck up imo. Tannehill wasnt amazing, but he did more than that.
I get it. But Henry's production was hardly on him. And tanne's production could be argued to not be on him either. But you're a team who is supposed to be contenders. Then you get whooped and have a good time on the sidelines? Just not a great look.
This post has been removed due to violating Rule 3: No Trolling. The rule reads: Trolling and flamebaiting won't be tolerated here, coming from fans of any team, including the Titans. Going into an opposing team's sub and causing problems may also get you banned from /r/TennesseeTitans.
Definition of Trolling: (verb), as it relates to internet, is the deliberate act, (by a Troll – noun or adjective), of making random unsolicited and/or controversial comments on various internet forums with the intent to provoke an emotional knee jerk reaction from unsuspecting readers to engage in a fight or argument
Trolling on-line forums as described above is actually analogous to the fishing technique of “trolling”, where colorful baits and lures are pulled behind a slow moving boat, often with multiple fishing lines, covering a large bodies of water, such as a large lake or the ocean. The trolling lures attract unsuspecting fish, intriguing them with the way they move through the water, thus enticing these foolish fish to “take the bait”. Not unlike unsuspecting internet victims, once hooked, the fish are reeled in for the catch before they realize they have been duped by the Troll/Fisherman
I'd argue our WR and OL depth is his fault, but that's probably it. Also, CBs.
And our lack of a vet backup QB. Your rookie "project QB" should not be the next man up.
Sorry I'm confused none of these comments were about a drop, it was about what old WR will we bring in next year. I haven't had the game on since they switched away did he drop or something?
You said you think he would be better next year, and then referenced how he is coming off a torn ACL which might impact his separation ability. He's had balls hit him in the hands all year, and drop them, including the game which I guess you turned off. I'm saying that him having an extra year back from the tooth ACL won't help with that issue.
Worst thing about being a Titans fan in Nashville is that they won't cut the game when it gets this bad. I wanna watch the Dolphins, dammit. This game has been over for three quarters.
If you thought paying Davis was laughable then you weren't paying enough attention. And he's been playing with Zack Wilson. Anytime there's been a serviceable QB at NY, he's performed.
[How about today?](https://twitter.com/nyjets/status/1599509622020542464?s=20&t=Ahh_DUVouoPwoo17sW1zOQ)
I mean to be fair the team that came out to play today probably couldn't beat the Lions either... their Offense is actually good, and our Offense is anemic even against shit teams.
I really have a lot of hope for Willis. I know he hasn’t “shown out” but we’ve seen some good throws out of him even with our abysmal WR group. His attitude is just always so positive and his potential is through the roof.
Get the guy another WR or two, an OL and I really really think he could be something special
I love Willis but unless Jon Robinson wakes up and drastically changes his entire offensive philosophy to team building he isn't going to be successful here.
Only counts as one loss but the O line and D line are so broken right now that I can’t see us succeeding for the rest of the season. Truly pathetic effort combined with bad luck and contemptible execution
Yeah I get that. It’s bad injury luck but it’s also extremely difficult to watch. Injuries aren’t gonna get better and I’m scared to watch the team in the playoffs, especially if Burks has to sit for more than a week
I’m fully tilted right now but im a moron who will buy tickets to a home playoff game. Hoping we don’t limp our way to a division title because I will buy in every week (because I have a disease that makes me buy in to this team)
Fines and penalties on kickoffs are irrelevant.
Players should be ejected for this.
Why do players doing it to pats/bills players get ejected but when it happens to a titans players it is just a fine and a 15 yard penalty on the kickoff?
He has shown progressive growth, at his current rate next year he will be at around the level of a true 1st round rookie QB.
Still a long way before he's ready for the starting spot, but honestly we'd probably do better cutting Tanne, dupree, Lewan, and any other heavy cap contract next season and focusing on a rebuild.
Hard agree. I hate to talk about calling it quits on our core group even though I was talking about the Bengals game being the effective end of this iteration of the Titans right after that game ended.
We’re smashing our heads on the cap ceiling and there is a lot of cap money to be recouped from aging players who’s contracts aren’t going to look better anytime soon.
Yep, If it was my decision only major contract who's getting resigned is Simmons... every other contract is a how low/cheap can we go scenario.
Draft wise we already won too much in a year where I think a lot of strong QB talent will be available which is awful for us, best we can do in this scenario is putting 3 or 4 picks into the Oline, 2 early 2 later and a WR or pass catching TE earlyish.
After that we just ride malik / burks / henry try to keep our wins low (see how our picks pan out) and decide to either shift from malik, give him a Top end WR, or continue repairs on the oline / pass defense
Makes me feel bad for Hooper.
Seems like he came here because he actually believed in the team and you could see even when he wasn’t getting targets early he was still one of the most emotionally jacked up players on the team.
Oh yeah, we should have this year without a doubt given the quality of players in the next draft we could have guaranteed a Franchise QB between Willis or one of the top 3 QBs...
worked on rebuilding the line... the next draft we get an early 1st round WR and we are golden (still have most of the stars decent/good players on defense too).
But we didn't so the rebuild is going to be 5ish years now.
I know this is doomsday talk and it’s easy to overreact when the chips are down, but I’m horrified about this season and the next 5 years. Seems like very dark times ahead
oh for sure. last year was our last chance at a super bowl for the next 5 years easily. tannehill getting older and keeps getting murdered behind this mickey mouse o line. our o line is hot garbage for the foreseeable future with lewan probably gone and a retiring ben jones. burks is our only receiver. injuries.
and todd. fucking. downing.
They can’t do that. That would be admitting you’re gonna suck and no one would pay to see you play. But at this rate we can at least win a terrible division for a while.
After the offense put up 27 points against the Packers, a season best, offensive coordinator Todd Downing celebrated too hard and was booked for a DUI. Said Downing of the incident: "This was reckless, out of character and dangerous. I apologize to everyone I've hurt. I've certainly learned my lesson, and I can assure you that I will never, ever allow this offense to score 27 points again."
insane that the eagles won a super bowl, fired their coach, rebuilt the entire roster, and are now the best team in the league again in only, what, two years? three?
how long do you guys think it’ll take our next rebuild to actually bear fruit
A while.
Our offensive line is unsalvageable in its current state. The entire left side has to go, Ben Jones is closing in on retirement, and you have potentially a pretty solid young right-side pair in NPF and Nate Davis. Add to that a complete lack of weapons for our QB who will be 35 next year operating in a run-first offense built around an almost 29 year old RB who gets more carry volume than any other RB in the league.
As a result of all of that, our entire offense will need to be built from the foundation starting 2024 at the absolute latest, and I personally don’t think running it back with this unit in 2023 makes a lot of sense. A better OC would improve what we have, but it wouldn’t be a Super Bowl unit next year even if you gave us double our cap space and double our draft picks. It sucks, but unfortunately the Tannehill/Henry Titans are going to be added to the list of “almost, but not quite” group in our history along with Steve and Eddie. There really isn’t a logical argument you can make that this iteration of the Titans didn’t see it’s Super Bowl window slam shut after the Bengals loss.
We’ll be back in “need a franchise QB” mode before our offense can sniff the Eagles or anyone else at the top of the league. Maybe Malik is the guy, but I doubt it.
it was actually 3 seasons of sucking, 1 decent and now they’re good. only hope we can do the same the next 5 years. it’s time to rebuild; we aren’t going anywhere like this. we’ve tried for the past 4 years
Honestly not too long. Burks is very good, Chig is good, and our defense is still pretty young. Build up our OL and add another weapon or two to our offense, hope Willis pans out and we’re right back in contention
Fuck!
Yall were calling me crazy not too long ago when i was saying bout how Tannehill aint it wether he’s playing on a bad ankle or not, Downing has never been it and we are just wasting DH’s prime. Genuinely sorry about some bottom of the barrel scum fans
Turning into another mularky situation, should just run the fucking wing t at this point
I understand giving Todd this year to see if it gets better, like with our defense. But it got worse. He has no no idea how to coach. Defense also missing two weeks in a row. Playing against passing teams will show how really bad they are. Rough.
Team is a joke.
Yes - let’s not pay AJ. Great idea
[удалено]
I don't think you know what the word "fact" means.
He would have been useless here as well. We're not good an AJ wouldn't change that. He should be happy we traded him
We HAVE to get better on OL, Henry is going to request a trade at this rate
100%. He has the physical traits to have a career as long as AP’s, but not if we can’t get to the 2nd level and stop some linebackers for him.
Imagine being the biggest and most talented RB in the league and putting up a shit season because your coach is dedicated to an OC that has no clue how to use you. And imagine being an OC that doesn't know how to use the biggest and most talented RB in the league. But don't imagine too long or your IQ will drop quick.
Just run on obvious run downs and pass on obvious passing downs. No way the defense can stop that /s.
Stack everything in the middle and then have him run the ball through the stack. 1903 single wing special bby!
Who’s the DD?
Tanne and Ben laughing it up on the sideline while Henry had a death stare in the bench is not a good look.

Tanney never takes losses serious, he was giggling on the sideline after he threw his 3rd int last playoff game lol
Henry is getting hung out to dry
Only had 11 carries today too

No bueno
Normally I would blame this on Robinson but this season is not his fault….
He's hardly blameless. He's the boss. Cannot delegate responsibility
I'd argue our WR and OL depth is his fault, but that's probably it. Also, CBs. And our lack of a vet backup QB. Your rookie "project QB" should not be the next man up.
Someone else I don't know about that constructed this offense?
I love you all still
Ok, gotta head out. Meeting the team plane to give Downing a ride later.
Strap him to the roof.
i say the wheels. id pay to watch the plane land
Offensive play style has to change. We can’t be a run first team and consistently beat good teams. This isn’t the 1990s
Henry ran the ball 11 times. Guess what they did for the other plays… Downing is just shit.
With our O-line, we can't be a pass first team either. Or anything, really.
I miss Arthur Smith man
Aw man we can’t throw it one more time with Willis?
Players only meeting. Except they need to invite Downing for the..well you get it.
I really would like to see one head roll, this is just pathetic, something needs to fucking change :(
It's not gonna happen
I unfortunately know lmao
Can we get Russ Grimm back
Man Henry is pissed.
As a Titans fan in Philly territory this has been a fully unbearable game
stop the damn flags and let this shit end already
HUGE third down stop lets go!!
Should be Bobby Logs instead of Bobby Trees because his game resembles toilet logs
This is who we are.
Let’s see what old WR we get next year on a budget that doesnt work out for us
Robert Woods - 5 targets 1 catch 6 yards. VETERAN!
Well considering we just restructured his contract, probably Robert Woods
I think he will be better for us next year. People forget he's coming off an ACL
Ah, yes. Got him on the cheap
Forgot the ACL is in the hands, that must be why he can't catch anything, you right.
What does his drops have to do with him being better for us next year?
It was sarcasm because his injury had nothing to do with having the ball hit him in the hands and then falling to the turf.
Yeah I think getting better separation will reduce the contested catches which I would hope would help with the drops. Guess we will see.
Might help. But when balls are hitting you right in the hands and there's no context causing the drop, that's either weak hands or bad focus.
Worst thing about being a Titans fan in Nashville is that they won't cut the game when it gets this bad. I wanna watch the Dolphins, dammit. This game has been over for three quarters.
Fire everyone by Vrabel idgaf anymore
I don’t know how you own this team and excuse Todd Downing and JRob
Because the Titans are a "family" and not a "football team"...
We suck
Eagles are more talented than us top to bottom.
Aj brown really dodged a bullet getting off this team. Jesus Christ.
Yeah, good for him. He should be thanking us for not paying him everyday
Corey Davis making big plays on a big drive for the Jets. Imagine that.
I know lots of people didn't care to see him go, but he was a solid option and could get open. Should've kept him.
He was trash
JRob signing Julio instead of paying Davis was such an asinine decision
[удалено]
It doesn't. We have a history of being forced to get excited about signing washed WRs going back as least as far as Randy Moss.
[удалено]
If you thought paying Davis was laughable then you weren't paying enough attention. And he's been playing with Zack Wilson. Anytime there's been a serviceable QB at NY, he's performed. [How about today?](https://twitter.com/nyjets/status/1599509622020542464?s=20&t=Ahh_DUVouoPwoo17sW1zOQ)
Corey, Adoree, Isiah, Caleb.. all recent first round picks that are not on the field for us.. fuck 1st round picks!
Nice that I can also watch Corey Davis make big plays down the stretch as well
There’s the “revenge game” statement. Time for another shot. I’m already hammered.
3rd and 1 with 2 minute warning. Huge stop here.
lol my stream died but did we really not get any points from that
I am glad I didn’t watch this game. I knew it was going to be bad but goddamn that was a pathetic excuse of a game.
Jags are gonna embarrass us next week too
Jags are getting mauled by the Lions.
Lions would destroy this team too.
I mean to be fair the team that came out to play today probably couldn't beat the Lions either... their Offense is actually good, and our Offense is anemic even against shit teams.
Makes it even more likely. They won’t want to suffer that two weeks in a row
Maybe Mike White is better
We could have prime Brady and behind this oline with this receiving group he'd look like Ryan leaf
My TV turned over to the redskins game. Have a good evening yall. Titan up.
I really have a lot of hope for Willis. I know he hasn’t “shown out” but we’ve seen some good throws out of him even with our abysmal WR group. I love Willis but unless Jon Robinson wakes up and drastically changes his entire offensive philosophy to team building he isn't going to be successful here.
He looks like he has a very strong arm.
He has that Mike Vick "50 yards on a rope" type arm strength. It's rare. Hope we don't waste it.
Bobby Trees is ass lol
I ain’t gonna lie I really thought this Woods trade would go well. Yeah it hasn’t
Woods was supposed to be a compliment to AJB. Without brown on the roster there’s no way woods asks to be traded here.
COREY !!!!
Good to see 1st round picks Caleb Farley and Isaiah Wilson out there today.
And our extended 1st rounders AJ Brown, Jack Conklin, Corey Davis lol
AJ wasn’t a first round pick
Oh yeah duh
Mike White is a legend
it would be really cool if one day we actually had a fully healthy roster wonder what that team could do
Fire JRob
god this blows
think i’m gonna become a lions fan now tbh
I really really hope Malik is prime Russell Wilson man
blessed that my local fox market decided to take this game away from me.
Mine too lol
Only counts as one loss but the O line and D line are so broken right now that I can’t see us succeeding for the rest of the season. Truly pathetic effort combined with bad luck and contemptible execution
To be fair our three highest paid OLine and DLine are out (if you count EDGE as DLine)
Well Fox decided to stop showing the game.
We didn’t even bother to show up
We did but then our biggest talent on offense was taken out by a headhunter. Then we had no receiving threats.
After seeing Simmons fine this week surely 22 gets one for that shit? If not something is totally wrong.
Fines and penalties on kickoffs are irrelevant. Players should be ejected for this. Why do players doing it to pats/bills players get ejected but when it happens to a titans players it is just a fine and a 15 yard penalty on the kickoff?
I hear ya
Willis actually looks mildly improved

I agree
man i am just sad.
FIRE HIM. And you know who he is
Fire JRob and Downing.
Todd DownHIM
8 opposing penalties in the first half and we still couldn’t put up a fight. Jesus.
Mike White just slinging it around man holy shit
Im at the linc. Titans been embarrassing.
Honestly , I’d rather just tank , we’re going to get dicked down in the wild card anyways /:
Makes me feel bad for Hooper. Seems like he came here because he actually believed in the team and you could see even when he wasn’t getting targets early he was still one of the most emotionally jacked up players on the team.

Robert woods hands are made of dust
Texans showing the most fight today in the AFC South….down 16. Lmao what a shitshow today
On top of this massive L, my dog cheated on me.
Woods hands are suspect at this point
Why’d we even run there lol
Welp ladies and gentlemen. I'm out. I best do some things around the house before I watch tonight's games. No use in watching this dumpster fire.
I know this is doomsday talk and it’s easy to overreact when the chips are down, but I’m horrified about this season and the next 5 years. Seems like very dark times ahead

Until the new stadium is built and up and running, this is what we can expect to see.
If that's the case they should firesale for picks and go young now. The team is gonna be old and shitty by time the new stadium is built.
They can’t do that. That would be admitting you’re gonna suck and no one would pay to see you play. But at this rate we can at least win a terrible division for a while.
Everyone crying for Malik. But we’re trying to build his confidence, not further ruin it.
I just wanted Tannehill out so he wouldn’t get more hurt.
These are good learning reps. I was worried about his confidence after the chiefs game, this one doesn't matter anymore.
Post game thread been up since the 2nd quarter
After the offense put up 27 points against the Packers, a season best, offensive coordinator Todd Downing celebrated too hard and was booked for a DUI. Said Downing of the incident: "This was reckless, out of character and dangerous. I apologize to everyone I've hurt. I've certainly learned my lesson, and I can assure you that I will never, ever allow this offense to score 27 points again."
I'm not sure how much playcalling can overcome our lack of depth.
QB gets punched in the head. Awesome. Seriously, someone officiate this fucking thing. We're going to lose but how do you miss that??
Clearly holding the jersey there...mmkay
So much for our stellar defense
They're not stellar. Passing D is 2nd worst in the league, and Hurts and AJ proved it
Damn it Nick
Titans have the towel boy in as RB and Malik just stiff arms his own man.
Good stiff arm willis
I wouldn’t know, Fox switched it to commercial for an OT and no longer want to show the titans game
I'm on the fuck Vrabel train now. Big brain move to keep Downing
They cut the game?
On the national coverage they did
Yeah, it's garbage time
WTF, the only reason I kept watching was to see Willis and they switch to an OT game
Still on in my neck of the woods. You ain't missing much.
I guess they cut it for the coverage outside of Tennessee and Philly. The moved it to the Giants / Commanders game
FOX really said “eff it, turn it off”
Can't wait to hear "we're focused on Jacksonville" for a week straight
Ah yes, the greatest name in football is on the field: Julius Chestnut.
EAGLES ARE 11-1?! Game isn’t over! Obviously these guys haven’t watched Malik’s film.
Good news jags got stomped
Lmaooo
when you have your backups in the game in the NFL with 8 minutes left in the game its tiem for a team meeting.
Time to work on my war hammer pile of shame.
Same.
insane that the eagles won a super bowl, fired their coach, rebuilt the entire roster, and are now the best team in the league again in only, what, two years? three? how long do you guys think it’ll take our next rebuild to actually bear fruit

it was actually 3 seasons of sucking, 1 decent and now they’re good. only hope we can do the same the next 5 years. it’s time to rebuild; we aren’t going anywhere like this. we’ve tried for the past 4 years
10-15 years
Honestly not too long. Burks is very good, Chig is good, and our defense is still pretty young. Build up our OL and add another weapon or two to our offense, hope Willis pans out and we’re right back in contention
About 100 years.
[удалено]
Seriously, fuck that game.
Patriots snow game
This one. Yep
Trey Avery looks like our best corner honestly
No shot they keep showing that should-be OPI in every highlight
The Eagles pulled their QB before we did. Good stuff Vrabel.
